We arrived at 11am hungry and craving a buffet, however, the building wasn't open. We waited in the car and after a while called the place to ask if it was open. The lady on the phone said they're still getting the food ready but that we could sit in the restaurant and wait. Upon walking in, she was apologetic and gave us our drinks. It took another 15 minutes for the food to be ready, but the entire time her and the staff were very nice. They have a hibachi section, buffet section of sushi, some pots of soup, fried appetizers, and plenty of dessert options. The way they portion the food in little baskets and plates I found to be really cute and convenient. The food was nice and hot, flavorful, and eye candy from the moment I saw it. The dessert was slightly sweet and was light on the stomach compared to other buffet foods. I'm so glad we stayed and waited because now this is my designated sushi buffet, lol. My issues with this was that there was no rice or noodles elsewhere with your typical Asian food buffet items. Actually, the options aside from Sushi, the one-time hibachi, and dessert were somewhat limited. It started with chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, etc. There weren't many options on just the buffet part. On top of that, a lot of the food was out. The soup Options were Egg Drop and Miso. The Miso soup was not my favorite. It was missing something. I love miso soup I get at hibachi grills, but this one missed the mark. There was no salad or options like that. Even the sushi part of the buffet was out of a lot of stuff. I've never tried sushi. I did try some of the fruit sushi they had and it was good. I will say that the foods I did get to eat were delicious. I did ask if I could get some more fried rice and they did get that for me. I appreciated that very much. I wish I would have known to ask for takeout containers to split up the extra also. Another note about the ordering- there is nowhere on the website to enter a pre-set pickup time (only default 25-30 minute option) so you'd have to either order right before pickup or call the restaurant like I did to change the time on your order. I also ordered vegetable fried rice and green gyoza. The fried rice was good but not great. It was hot and fresh, but just not as flavorful so I topped it with more of my gyoza sauce. The green gyoza were not good. The skin was dry and stiff, and the inside was a starchy filling, almost like chickpea or another starchy bean.
