What's better than hibachi? Quick service hibachi. No long show just great food quick. Service was wonderful and completely fresh food. Our group, 8 of us, came in placed our orders quickly. So delighted to find out that every thing can be made without any of the usual ingredients. One of us has a soy restriction the other no eggs no wheat and another dairy free. It has to be the first place ever that didn't automatically say "we pre marinade all our meat so we couldn't prepare without sauce" but noooo not here. All requested preparations handled! Great! We were leaving Kings Island and opted to try this as a hopefully cheaper option to eating in the park and it turned out great! It's a little hole in the wall place and from the outside it looks a little dark and dingy, but that's just a tint on the windows. Inside was bright and clean and had an adorable lucky cat mural on the wall. The hibachi prices were super low- I got the tofu and even with tip it was under $12. The amount of food was impressive, the quality was great, and so were the included sauces. My friend and I were both thrilled by this place and plan to go regularly while we're up at the park this season. Only note is that there were milk teas listed on the menu but they didn't have any when I ordered- I don't know if they were out or just changed the menu without updating it. read more

Given lots of vegetables to replace ordering omitting the rice. 3. The Green Tea Ice cream is the best item I ordered! Worth the trip. 4. The hibachi soup was nice. The bad: 1. Lack of flexibility to choose vegetables given - my husband HATES mushrooms, and had no idea when ordering he would receive them, as no other hibachi place we've tried automatically has them. 2. The dressing with the hibachi salad had no flavor, according to husband. 3. The sauces they cook the hibachi salmon in must have gluten in them, because after consuming it felt that way. :( The ugly: 1. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were WAY undercooked, like almost inedible. Undercooked cookies = yum. Undercooked spring rolls = close to unpalatable. So, if you are at Sapporo, get the soup and the green tea ice cream. I visited Sapporo with a group of 8, including several children. We were greeted so kindly and guided through the menu so we could try new things. The food was all delicious and we had quite a few dishes between us including udon, hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, and gyoza. The hostess/cashier checked on us multiple times and was wonderful to talk to and also great with the kids. We will definitely visit again when in town! read more

Sapporo has reached legendary status among our family! It's the best hibachi and Japanese takeout food that we've found (and we've tried many). The scallops are better than expensive restaurants, and the yaki soba is unlike any other we've found. If you get the pork dumplings, choose pan fried and you won't regret it! It's very clean inside, staff is friendly, portions are big enough to split, and the food is always ready fresh and fast! 10/10 would recommend, even to friends out of town! read more

My family of 4 came at around 7:15 on a Friday and it was packed. Total chaos as the receptionist was trying her best to seat people as they came in. People were rude and impatient, but the waitress never wavered in her kindness as she ran around like a chicken. I watched her in awe. We were not able to get a seat at a hibachi table due to the wait; we have 2 little boys who are crazy, so we chose to sit at a table so we could eat sooner, and she sat us right away. We all ordered hibachi and the kids got the kids hibachi (one got noodles and one got rice, they both liked the rice best). We all got chicken and shrimp and I also got the steak. My favorite was the chicken. The food was so delicious, my husband and I agreed it was better than other hibachi places we've tried in Cincinnati and Columbus. The yum yum sauce was great, the miso soup and salad were both also so good. My kids loved the soda pops with the marbles and we kept the glass bottles because they liked them so much. We observed the hibachi cook interacting with the table next to us, and he did such a good job of entertaining the adults and children. It looked so fun! We live kind of far but we come to the area once a year to visit the aquarium or great wolf lodge, and we will come here for dinner every time from now on! The service was PHENOMENAL and it was nice and expedient. I don't know if I'd want to pay almost $22 for pretty standard fried rice, but it was a nice size for the money. A lunch special would DEFINITELY come in handy for local businesses. The sauces are extra but the Ginger dressing is/was DIVINE! I am not a fan of yum yum, but if you mix it with a pinch of the teriyaki and a generous helping of ginger dressing, it is definitely delicious. Rice was tender but when I wanted vegetables, I meant hibachi ones- not broccoli florets thrown in here and there. They have the delicious fried rice you come to expect from a hibachi place. My only gripe with this is that it's not enough. I paid $14 something for the beef version along with the fried rice; however, I was left still feeling hungry at the end. There was maybe 10-12 small cubed pieces of beef. The food we ate here wasn't even mediocre. Most of it was actually horrible. My kids love noodles, but this place makes cheap instant Walmart yaki undon look like a delicacy. I made the mistake of ordering ramen. It was nearly inedible. Once again, I'd take cheap packaged ramen over this abomination. The broth seemed just bland at first, but it tasted worse and worse with each spoonful. The pork was also barely edible. None of us could finish the udon or ramen. We did get an order of gyoza to start which were fine. I ended up getting a second order since we were going to be hungry after throwing away the rest. Also it was so odd that everything came in to go containers even though we ordered to eat in. At least the employees were pleasant and the place was pleasant enough inside (but the front door was so hard to open we thought it was locked... we should have walked away at that point, oh well hahahaha). read more

I really wanted to like this place because it's close to home and would be very convenient. Unfortunately it really wasn't that good. For the same price you'd pay driving the extra 10 minutes to get to the teppanyaki place in Lebanon you get smaller portions of food that's not as good and have to eat out of carryout containers with plastic utensils and drink out of a can without refills and you don't get the table service or the show of the chef preparing your food right where you're eating. I ordered hibachi chicken and tempura vegetables. The chicken and vegetables both lacked seasoning were quite bland. The oil the vegetables were fried in was not hot enough. The tempura wasn't crispy and there were places where the batter absorbed the oil. The chicken was a bit over cooked. I didn't finish this meal. I wanted to love this place since I live close. Great food and great service. I arrived 5 mins late for my pickup but my food was still hot and fresh and the staff was very friendly. Prices on the menu appear to be cheaper than normal hibachi, but with the add on of fried rice and a salad (that typically comes with a hibachi meal) the price was similar to a sit down restaurant.
