We just left Tennessee Jack's in Greeneville. We had heard they had changed ownership and reviews have not been very good. We decided to try it anyway. We went about an hour before closing. They were out of hamburger meat and Philly steak meat. We usually order the hamburger steak, which they did have, but the price has gone up to $16.95. I ordered the chicken Philly. I wanted to add mushrooms but was told there wiuld be an up charge (the waitress wasn't sure of the exact amount without checking, possibly $0.99-$2). The hoagie bread was way too big for the amount of chicken, and overall the sandwich was nothing special. I had a baked potato as my side, which was okay. I asked for hot tea and was told they don't have it, but sweet tea could be microwaved. Unfortunately, it wasn't very hot and tastes like dirty water. My husband ordered a side salad, macaroni, baked beans, and fries, and he said all of his food was very good. Overall, the sides were g but the limited menu availability, price increases, and drink quality were disappointing. Hopefully things improve. read more

This place was on point! I got 2 4oz filets mignon, twice baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and it was 10/10, probably best I had in a long time. Wife got buffalo (hot) shrimp tacos and they were amazing. Gotta give this place a try, it was amazing. Great service too! read more

After reading several reviews I wasn't expecting much. But, wow! Great menu, great service! Try the sweet potato fries with cinnamon butter dip! The cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and the toppings were plentiful. Especially the whole two slices of ripe tomatoes. Hubby loved the chicken tenders and Cole slaw. The food was better than most restaurants. I recommend the chicken sandwiches.though the service was good but slow. Me and my father both enjoyed the music and it wasn't loud at all. Went in with my wife on a Saturday evening. Fairly busy, but not packed. Wife ordered the Catfish special, I ordered the 10 wings 1/2 Garlic Parm 1/2 Cajun Dry Rub. Order arrived and wife asked for lemon. Took forever to get the lemon (she was over 1/2 done). I realized that 1/2 of my wings were wrong (some sort of sweet BBW sauce). Finally got the waitresses attention and asked to have them replaced. They acted like it was a huge inconvenience to correct the mistake. Manager finally came over and said they would replace the ones I hadn't eatery (I took one bite out of the wrong one and determined it wasn't what a ordered). I said ok, and she ripped the plate out from under me leaving me with a garlic parm wing in my hands, and no plate. I wanted to love this place because they have a large, varied menu and they're fairly close by. However, when we went there for lunch, we were not impressed by the quality of the food or the portion size for the money. First, the service was pretty good. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. No complaints there. I ordered the chicken wings with mild buffalo sauce and the mac and cheese. The sauce on the wings was great, but the wings themselves were tough and chewy. They were not pleasant to eat. The mac and cheese tasted jut like Velveeta shells and cheese. I could have made that at home and I was very disappointed. Fortunately, it was a very small portion. My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and onion rings. The onion rings were okay but there only 7 of them and 2 were tiny. The sandwich was also small and it was dry. Some of the meat was hard and crusty. We left hungry and unsatisfied with any of the food. Maybe it's just the lunch menu. Maybe they have items that are worth the price. Maybe, but we probably won't go back to find out. read more

I have sat down at this restaurant three times and every time I am there I see management treating their employees like they don't matter and are extremely rude and condescending to them. Come to find out i've talked to a few people around town and they enlightened me on the fact that they only treat the family members, that work there, with decency and respect and are highly unprofessional when it comes to running their business. Personally the food is too subpar and overpriced for me to spend my money and time there. I suggest getting the basic food they serve somewhere else. I cannot support a business that doesn't respect their own employees they hired. read more

The Ribeye cooked medium was perfect. Better than Texas Roadhouse. The 14oz was more than I wanted but even my wife finished hers because it was too good to waste and the Dog wasn't going to get it! Don't even think about A1! It would be a sin! read more

Food was average at best. Restaurant was too hot, making it very uncomfortable. I had to keep asking for drink refills instead of waitress offering to refill my drink. Steak had too much fat on it. There's a whole lot of better places to eat close by. Not sure if I will go back. read more

Tennessee Jacks is a good place to eat. We were greeted upon arrival and seated quickly. The booths had simple wood plank seats. The place has a family style interior and I suspect it hosts groups after local football or basketball games. The menu has a wide range of comfort foods and the titles hinted at Football like "Special Teams Sandwiches". The waitress was pleasant and our order came in a reasonable amount of time. I had the Mahi-Mahi sandwich and my wife had chicken skewers on a bed of rice. We enjoyed our meal. For our first time here we were pleased. read more

We stopped going here due to all the extra charges for extra salad dressing (because they bring a tiny little cup with your salads) and even charge me for extra lemon for my water . On top of that they started charging an up charge if you don't pay cash . I could understand if they were cheaper than other places but their food is in same range as Applebees and they don't charge extra for everything or using debit ! It's ridiculous. The last time few times we went they sat us in the back where the tables are so close together you might as well be eating family style with the couple next to you ! It is so loud you feel Like you have to yell to talk to someone at the same table with you ! When we asked to sit at a booth she said we couldn't because she had to seat us at a particular waitress area . I said but I don't like this area and she said " well it's out of my control, I don't make the rules " so yeah we will never dine in again ! read more

On our way to Atlanta Rt 81 South we took exit 31. The food was great they had a nice selection of burgers or breaded chicken sandwiches, service was excellent and friendly. I would recommend it for those picky eaters there is something of everyone. Great sweet tea. read more

We wanted a snack / light lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. We arrived around 12:15pm. The place was about half full and was clearing out 30 minutes after we arrived. We ordered 2 beers, 1 fried chicken sandwich with fries, and 10 wings, 5 mild, 5 hot. It took 1 hour to get this simple meal to the table, meanwhile, 3 women with 1 baby walked in 15 minutes after we got there , ordered, received and ate their food by the time our order arrived. Come to find out, 2 of them used to work there.....figures. While we were waiting, the scatterbrained waitress walked by and asked if we wanted another round of beers. Since we were waiting for them to kill, pluck, and cook the chicken we figured what the hell and said yes. We sat there another 10 minutes with nothing when the waitress walked by again and said, "y'all want another round?"! We just looked at each other and said YES! I told my wife, "watch, she will try to bill us for those beers we didn't get." Finally the food arrived. The checked sandwich was pretty much burnt, the fries were frozen, not fresh cut, the wings were very dry and basically inedible. The mild sauce was terrible and just tasted greasy, the so called HOT sauce was anything but hot. Also, the menu specifically said the wings came with the usual sides of carrots and celery....Guess what, she didn't bring any of the sides. I had to get the waitresses attention and said, " where are the carrots & celery?", she said, "oh, you want those'?. I said, YES! PLEASE!!!.We took a few bites and pushed this garbage aside and asked for the bill. The waitress brought it and said she took 15% off for the long wait.........But, SHE CHARGED US FOR THE 2 BEERS SHE NEVER BROUGHT! We had to bring this to her attention. She removed the over charge from the bill and we got the hell out of that place, never to return. read more

Tennessee jacks has some of the best wings I've ever ate. Was told about this place from friends who live in the area. We split 50 half medium and garlic Parmesan. They were wonderful. They food was fresh and piping hot when it came out. Also had some of the best sweet tea I've had. Fries were good. Would recommend the wings , they were great!!! read more

Food quality itself was pretty good for the price point, but the portion sizes seem to vary hugely between meals. Might just be an issue with lunch service. Waitresses were nice but were slow and not very attentive. Best to only come on specific nights for seafood as their main food options seem lacking in comparison. Nothing outstanding about the place but not somewhere to avoid either as long as you have normal expectations. read more
