NEWPORT, TN 37821 / AMERICAN FARE / 09-28-23 / LUNCH +The prime rib sandwich was delicious. The bread was freshly-baked and super soft. +Customer service was excellent. -The fresh-cut fries were re-fried. -The floors were a bit sticky/slippery.

Wow- this may single handedly been the least expensive family meal we have had on vacation and it was the best food! Kids meals were mini corn dogs (perfectly cooked and not a lb of breading!) and grilled cheese with a side of mac n cheese. My burger was flavorful & Juicy- also cooked perfectly- and my husband got the fried shrimp with crinkle fries - nothing over fried! Wow. Follow your GPS - as it is a little hidden and be careful turning in up the hill that you don't bottom out. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is super cute- light and farmhouse decor- Service was attentive, pleasant, and inviting. Next time we are in TN this will definitely be on the must hit list!

    Tall frosty water with lemon

Food was great and the service was amazing. Being a smart aleck, I usually ask for an"tall frosty water with lemon" when I do lunch or dinner for work. Our server Jessie brought out a frosted glass and a glass of water with lemon. I was floored, in my years of travel never has that happened. I recommend them if traveling through TN, it is a couple of miles off of I-40 but well worth the stop.

Was burnt so bad was like a shell

That magical texture of the crispy, buttered bun against the tender pulled pork, onion ring, and thick double patties is unforgettable!! Drizzled with barbecue sauce, the perfection is complete. And while some burger joints hide behind toppings with lower quality beef, just one taste of the burger patty all by itself makes it clear that Millstone only uses meat of superior quality! It's quite stunning! The fried okra is for real, some of the best I have ever eaten at any restaurant! They say the fried mushrooms are insanely good here, but I'm not a mushroom guy. Try them is that's your thing. They also have a massive burger challenge with sides, but only one teenager ever finished it. If you're anywhere near Dandridge, even if you're two minutes away at I-40's exit 424, GO TO MILLSTONE RESTAURANT!!

The service was amazing, and everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly and accommodating. One of the kitchen staff members even helped us open an umbrella so we could sit outside. Later, when he came out for a smoke break and noticed we were still eating, he thoughtfully moved to the other side of the building. We were traveling with our two dogs and appreciated that they were welcome both inside and outside. We chose to sit on the patio, and our waitress immediately brought out a bowl of ice water for the dogs without us even having to ask. The bathrooms were also very clean and charmingly decorated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely visit again!
