Nice store, nice selection. Why I gave it 3/5, we went into the store shopped around got some shine for friends. We decided to do the sampling at the recommendation of the 2 staff members there. We bought the sampling option $5 per adult, 8 samplings per adult not bad, for what you get. We went to the bar area and told to go to a kiosk to get tickets. We went and got the tickets, went to the bar, and stood there for a min, didn't get helped and the sampler server got summon to help a group of about 10 people wanting to do samplings. He left the sampling area, not acknowledging us, or setting us up before leaving. He was with the group for quite some time before we gave up went to the cash register, asked for a refund, and bought our bottles and left. I fully understand being understaffed, and having to juggle, but being ignored not even acknowledged, pass. read more

One of my favorites on our tour. Double your pleasure here with two different tastings with two different tastemakers who know their stuff! Wild bill was our tastemaker for the Tennessee Shine moonshine and his flare was very unique, I thought I was at an auction which each presentation sample he was about to pour. I even like the pickle juice which by this time I needed between pours. It helped reset my palette. I like the Bloody Mary Mix, crème and lemonade. Big Sexy was our tastemaker for the wine side. He setup our taste where I got to signal once all pours were complete, "Bottoms up"! It was so much fun! Nevermind that this wine including the warmed drink was tasteful, sweet and no ill aftertaste. We purchased TSW Chocolate Cream, Rocky Red Flat and Pigeon Forge Blush. Our tour also included a moonshine operation demo by one of the bartenders. It was educational of course. I paid $8 for the vip pass to get 9 moonshine tastings and 5 bourbon tastings. They were great! I dont know which is my favorite, but the slippery nipple was pretty damn good. The guy pouring the tastings was entertaining and included a "pickle shot" for my 13 and 10 yr old because they were curious. The only reason I would possibly mark it down is because my kids were bored while I stood around and drank. But ..its a moonshine tasting, so to mark them down for not being family friendly would be silly. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra 2 dollars and go vip read more

Great customer service! You get like 6 free tastings. You can make your own party pack of 6 shots or 12 or pick a pre made one. There are so many options. There are regular flavors, creams that would be good in coffee, and fruit and veggie ones i.e. pickle one. I really liked the espresso flavored bourbon one with butter pecan cream moonshine. They didn't have the bourbon or fruit/veggie in shot size. They have wine tasting in another room/side of the shop. The blackberry was my fav. The bottles avg about $25/bottle. Quite the interesting place. Definitely has a heavy southern theme, and oh yeah, "BIG SEXY" was in the house when we arrived! This was the third stop on our tasting tour. It didn't look like much walking up to this place, but wow did this place pack a punch. When we got in, another tasting session was midway through, so we were escorted over to the wine tasting section. There, we met "BIG SEXY"! This really funny gentleman who had a ton to say while he was pouring us some wine. When it was our turn for our moonshine tasting session, we said goodbye to "BIG SEXY" in the wine section and moved over to our moonshine tasting bar. Again, greeted by some truly authentic southern folks that were pouring us different moonshine cups. I was surprised with how flavorful everything was and how many we got to try. This is probably my overall favorite Moonshine and Muscadine wine tasting experience I've had in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area! I really enjoyed my tasting experience here and "Big Sexy" is the absolute BEST muscadine wine salesman I've ever encountered as he is getting the ladies to buy cases of the stuff. The moonshine at Tennessee Shine Co. is also way above average over my other experiences and it was just overall a fantastic experience and I plan on returning here for all my future visits to the area! Booked a tasting for my bachelorette through Smoky Tours. We had a great tour of the distilling process by Paul the panty dropper filled with great wisdom on not only moonshine, but marriage as well. Then we had a hilarious tasting with Mitch. We're from out of town, but luckily had a translator in the group to help us understand what drinking only half the pour meant . I've done them all.. I loved this place and yes even liked big sexy. He was good at what he does he sold us on what we wanted to drink. We ended up purchasing a lot of moonshine that night and samples were free. You pay a lot for samples at sugarlands and Ole Smokey but this place is free. Attitude: Laid back. there was no rush to try or buy. you sample what you want, and take your time. there's no charge but please do tip the bartenders. The experience is better thanks to their knowledge and recommendations. Price: the tastings are free. most moonshine is $25. there were some whiskeys that had a different price, but overall, i found these prices more reasonable than some of the others.
