Ok I'm leaving my old review below so people can have a reference but this is crazy. I only wanted to post on yelp to vent my frustration and at most wanted an apology if possible. What happened next I had Alec send me a personal message. He wanted to know my order number and said he was going to see what happened. He also said he would call me back in 2 hours. He did call me back and explained the situation to me. He was extremely apologetic. He not only did all this but he went above and beyond and made things right and made me a customer again with Tennis Express. Thank you Alec. So initially Tennis Express was great. 5 star experience. We had ordered before. Then the past 2 orders the emails have stated order has shipped and when I go to check on both UPS and on the link that Tennis Express provides the order has never been sent to UPS. I complained before via email and phone call and the person on the phone was honest and said the stringer was backed up; but the person responding to my email stated that it was UPS' fault and that they had not picked up the package. On the last order we went with another online store, which went great. Received the racquet within 2 days. But I thought I would give Tennis Express one more try. Ordered on Monday said it was shipped Wednesday and I have been checking the status since and it should be here today and it says on UPS' 'When the shipment arrives at our facility the delivery date will be updated'. Extremely disappointed. Going elsewhere in the future. At the very least throw an update email or something. read more

I emailed asking why that was, they told me it was a delay....a week later and it still read the same. This was my first experience with them and will be my last. These were my first pair of colorful tennis shoes. I ordered a 9ee as my feet are wide. This is the same size that I have worn for years after decades of wearing a 9e size. I have worn New Balance that whole time, and they have always been comfortable from the get-go with no breaking in needed. This latest purchase was not that way. They felt both short and tight in the width. I have worn them around the house and out on short walks, and they are now about right in the length and almost ready to wear on the court. The sneakers are always delivered on the promised date and a return label is included in case there is a problem or fitting issue. I agree so much with the comments here that customer service is all too often deplorable. This morning the Assistant manager made fun of me because I used a gift card that was under ten dollars. He actually walked away from me, shaking hisbhead and laughing loudly so that the clerks and the store could hear. He actually whisked away, laughing like a spoiled, arrogant child. I purchased a full-price t-shirt from the Tennis Express website. When it arrived, it was obviously a second - the kind of thing you'd find for $9 on the clearance rack at a discount store. The material was set diagonally. When I asked to return it, I found out that I would have to pay for return shipping on this defective product! I contacted tennis express again by phone, asking them to pay for the return shipping, and the customer service agent asked me to send a photo. Walked in completely clueless as to what I wanted both with attire as well as rackets and balls. David was the gentleman who came to my rescue. He was extremely knowledgeable. I love tennis express. I've been coming here for years. It has always been my go to place to get my racquets strung and shop their massive clearance room. I actually never shopped for racquets before until today. I've been using my old head prestige's for over 18 years and continued to find new old versions of them on eBay. However, a couple years ago my coach shamed me in that I'm no longer a junior tennis player at my old age and needed to get a racquet appropriate for decayed skills and endurance. I will say the customer service here is top notch. Reagan came by to help me explore all the new racquets as I was overwhelmed with all the new options. I have not seen any of these new aged equipment and felt like a grandpa in the store. He knew all the specs, characteristics, head sizes and much more off the top of his head. He recommended me to other racquets and encouraged me to demo them. He even offered to hit with me to test it out! Talk about customer service! We got a few good rallies in on their in store tennis court! When I decide to buy a racquet, I'll definitely be going with Reagan! He went the extra mile to help me. read more

This is like paradise for anyone playing tennis, even for beginners like me. They have everything related to tennis here, even a court for a little bit of play. They have multiple people stringing rackets. Cute collection of clothes. Multiple people on the floor to help and answer questions. Lauriel was super helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to help my boyfriend pick out a racket that was perfect for him. We were grateful to have interacted with her. We ended up choosing the Head Speed MP. When checking out, the cashier David also informed us that his racket comes with a warranty. Overall, we will definitely be back to purchase more stuff once we get more serious with tennis. Lousy Customer service and Manager (Ms. J.) I drove 30 miles to get my racquet strung . I was told to come back after 2 days. However, when I reached at 2pm on the given day, I was told that the racquet was not ready. Since the cashier seemed unable or unwilling to help, I asked for the manager. I was hoping to see if the racquet could be taken up on priority basis since it was unstrung or my money refunded along with the racquet. The manager then circled to a small line on the long receipt (I had made plenty of purchases) with a yellow highlighter that said that the time was 4.30pm. And she started a tirade about the cashier mentioning the check out time on each receipt. I kept pointing out that the line was previously un-circled and that I would not drive 30 miles if I had known. She mentioned the same thing 7 times without even checking with the cashier who had taken my order. In the end, I had to kill in a nearby restaurant. My racquet was still not ready at 4.30pm. Then, I spoke to a Team Leader Mr. Brett who helped get the racquet strung immediately and refunded the stringing charges. I would have preferred not waiting for 2 hours to that small amount but at least it was a nice gesture and showed that he cared - unlike Ms. J. The worse part is that an email to the corporate office about Ms. J elicited no response. That showed a lot about the store. read more

I have some foot issues with bunions which makes me need a wide toe box. These shoes have that. They do not have a lot of cushion but I replaced the insole with a store bought insole and they were comfortable the first time I wore them. read more

I notice a definite improvement in comfort with the Asics Resolution 9s compared to my previous pairs of Resolution 8s. They've redesigned the tongue so there's less pinching at the top. Garbage shirt, sizing is way off but to make mattters worse....if you buy something under $75 you have to pay shipping to get the item and if you don't like it and want to return you have to pay shipping back. How can you try something on with any confidence of not losing $15 in shipping. I called customer service, they were unhelpful and would not send me a prepaid label back. I can understand paying shipping once but twice, ridiculous!! BUYER BEWARE!! As per the owner response....just because you same the same thing to me over and over again doesn't make it right! Your policy is flawed. It will now cost me a total of $15 to try on a $32 shirt. It's not the money it's the principle! I'll suck it up and eat the lose like you should have to accommodate your customers! I originally ordered Wilson Men's Rush Pro Tour Mid Tennis Shoes Black and White for $160, at the time I executed the On-line purchase the shoes were in Stock. Tennis Express (TE) received my order without any glitches, however, several days later I received an email that the shoes were now out-of- stock . I called TE Customer Service (CS) and informed them that given that my first choice was out of stock, please replace my original order with Nike Men's Air Zoom Vapor 11 Tennis Shoes Black and White ($160), which TE agreed and shipped the shoes, which I received in two (2) days. Within hours of receiving the Shoes, I tried them on and they were too large (Size 15). I immediately boxed the shoes up and sent them back to TE via the Returns Process in it's original packaging, and it took five (5) days to reach TE. Once I confirmed that TE had received the Shoes in the Returns Department, I contact TE CS to see that, Given that they had received the shoes, could they either ship me the correct size (Size 14) or at a minimum, hold the correct size, until my return has been completely processed. TE responded that it would take three (3) working days to complete my return. If I wished to receive the correct size immediately, I could Purchase the size 14 for another $160, and when my Return was completely processed, then I would receive the $160 refund; therefore, TE wanted me to obligate $320 for one set of Tennis Shoes. I told TE Just complete my Return and send my Refund. I informed TE that this was a "Lesson Learned" and I would never order anything from TE again; TE responded "that's fine Mr. Brown, you have nice night!". The CS Agent was completely ambivalent/nonchalant to my situation. Call Time: 3/29/2023 6:46PM PST Just a point of reference, I'm a retired twenty-six (26) year Purchasing Professional; I've purchased virtually everything, from Material and Operating Supplies to Software, Hardware and IT Professional Services. My Purchasing Experience with TE was the worse Purchasing Experience in my Life (I'm not being hyperbolic!). Just to give you an idea of my Tennis Equpment purchasing history; within the last five (5) years I've purchased five (5) pairs of Tennis Shoes, eleven (11) Tennis Raquets, two (2) Eight-Pack Tennis Bags, four (4) 75 Ball Pick-up Baskets, and twenty (20) Cases of Tennis Balls (purchased from diverse sources (e.g. Tennis Warehouse,, Local Tennis Vendors and Walmart).
