I used to eat here almost every day but lately the food and the customer service has been HORRIBLE. This is the fifth or the sixth time something goes wrong, whether it be the wrong order, the wrong food or the food being messed up. In this picture I ordered a chicken Milanesa with rice, fries and salad. They gave me the chicken in BURNT and cooked with old oil. It was so bad that the chicken and the fries tasted sour and the avocado was gross. They also are SUPER RUDE.

As generous as I am with my reviews, going to the restaurant or location a few times before actually coming with a set of stars, I came to my conclusion rather quickly all the food was good. Again, the food is not great so that already knocks it down. As a Hispanic female, I typically get along fairly well with only Spanish-speaking employees. That being said, the staff was extremely rude. Upon entering the establishment, I realized that there was definitely not enough space to bring a group and barely enough room for my wife and I to sit down and quickly grab a bite for lunch. I walked up to the counter to greet the staff, as I had not yet even had a chance to look at the menu, and immediately was asked to hold in a sort of rude manner without even greeting us. And Hispanic culture, anyone who does not greet you upon walking into a room is automatically seen as rude. This is the way we started off our lunch at this bakery. Once she came back to help us place our order, we were ready to place our order (grilled chicken, rice, beans and salad) and she only offered us to eat the food that was visible through the glass. Again, as I am Hispanic, I already know that the food sitting in/behind the glass has been there for hours and is definitely not fresh. Being that we were looking for a fresh bite to eat, I explained to her that I did not want that. She tried to make it seem as if that was the only food available to us. I, Then, told her flat out that we wanted to grill chicken platter for us both. We then went outside to wait as it was extremely crowded inside. We came back about 10 to 15 minutes later to grab hour to go order and prepare to get it out as she brought the bag of food to us. Immediately as she walked up to me, I greeted her and received no greeting back. I, then, proceeded to pass for the card as she asked me if it was debit or credit. I clearly said debit as she swiped the card and told me she passed it as credit saying, "it's practically the same thing". Obviously by this point I was a bit annoyed being that I was completely clear on what I asked for, to be processed as debit. I asked her to please try it again as debit because we did not want to pay with credit. She made sure to roll her eyes and sigh very loudly as she swiped the card again as debit, which I had initially asked her to do, acting as if it was so difficult to swipe the card through the machine. I made sure not to tip as this is not the way Hispanic establishment should run their business. All in all, the food was very good although greasy even so having been made fresh for us. I would return to try this place out again, as I typically like to try a place a few times before deciding to not come back. Hopefully, my review and service will be better next time.

It's not that easy to find as I didn't see a sign on the storefront except for a chalkboard outside. Perhaps they are getting a new sign? The place is very clean with neutral tones but smaller than I was expecting. There are a few small tables and then the large counter with all the goodies at the back. And there are a lot of goodies to choose from! Besides the cube shaped croissants, and one wheel croissant, there are also oblong croissants in many flavors like strawberry, pistachio, chocolate, hazelnut and more. There are also desserts in the cold case to the right and some savory items like garlic cream and hot dogs in croissant to the left. Since we were here during brunch time, I got a savory item - a garlic, cheese and ham bun - as well as a pistachio cube. My friend got the pepperoni pizza croissant. While there are lots of coffee drinks and milk teas/boba teas on the menu, I asked if they had hot tea. They said they do not, which I think is a miss. Maybe they will add that soon? Instead, I got a Mango Green Tea and my friend got a Strawberry Green Tea. Let me tell you, everything was so good! I had my garlic bun first and it was great. Then I had the pistachio cube and it was filled with a light pistachio whipped cream - delish! I'd love to come back and try their other items.

The candied pecans gave it a contrasting sugared crunch making it really addicting to eat, and the candied oranges rounded out the flavors. I hope they'll keep bringing this cookie back!

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different. My only little "ehhh" was the texture of the glaçage drip. Personally, it wasn't my favorite mouthfeel--but listen, that did NOT stop my fork from continuing its ministry. If you like your chocolate cake dark, decadent, rich, and a little sexy... baby, this is the move. Basically, this isn't "lemme grab a little piece of cake."
