    Colombian breakfast platter plain
    Chante' M.

I've visited this establishment multiple times and it is great food every time. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, even the coffee are all delicious. I struggle with the translation and still get great food with pointing at the menu and Google translate. The customer service is great. They are patient and friendly. This place is authentic and offers a delectable choice of food for a great price. If you come on a weekend it may be crowded but the crowd filters at a good pace.

A hidden Gem!!! Moved to the area and was looking for breakfast around noon. Decided to try it on a whim. Amazing!!! They were busy but that did not stop thengirl on the counter from making sure i got a table as soon as it opened and cleaned it for me. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it basically came with two sandwiches!! All under $10! It was delicious. Fresh bread. The whole place smells amazing. They have frituras...which looked really good. Will try them next time. Very limited seating so make sure you are ok with waiting a little if you want to seat but most take it to go. You can also order ahead for pick up. There's plenty of parking since it's in a plaza. Absolutely give this place a try, you won't regret it!

Fried plantains with beef, daily special

We got the bunuelos, fried plantains with beef and the weekend special which included the soup with chicken and noodles, chicken, rice and beet salad. We really enjoyed the food and it was plenty. The price was good but the wait time was longer than we had hoped.

This place is spectacular, and a lovely showcase of Colombian hospitality. It isn't fancy, but it is delicious and authentic paisa food. We love the atmosphere and the pricing is also very reasonable. Bring your appetite or plan to bring food home with you.

This is the exact type of restaurant that I love. Hard to find online, family owned and operated, and DELICIOUS. All the prices for this little Columbian gem are better than any of the local competitors, but offer better portions and flavors. I recommend the daily lunch special for anyone on their first visit. You get a little of everything for 8.95$ it comes with your choice of Soup, Meat, and 3 sides.

Empanada that was supposed to be meat, I know she understood me as I speak fluent Spanish

Quick stop to get small snack while shopping. It's a very small place and they seemed to be really busy with take outs. It's smelled wonderful inside like fresh baked bread. I order a stuffed potato and a meat empanada. But we're incredibly greasy. Very bland for both and the empanada was chicken not beef. I was the only person at the counter and it took a bit to get the attention of the 3 ladies at the counter talking. No sauces were offered or displayed. I hope the other menu items are better. There is minimal seating. A few inside tables and two outside. I chose to sit in my car cause most of the tables were not clean but empty. It's 12:45 ... anyways I would try another menu item and skip the empanadas and the stuffed potato. I have it two stars because it's cheap it was about $7 for the two items and a bottle of water. I would not make a special trip but if I'm the area I would try another menu item.

Great little place. Amazing food fresh and authentic Colombian flavor. They have daily specials at great prices with good portions. Definitely recommend stopping by.

For good Colombian food try this place. Prices are reasonable and food is good. I have had their cazuela de mariscos and was amazing.

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. I have been a Buttermilk Bakery fan for well over a decade. Until this last weekend…read more I got online at 8:15 in the morning to place my order. Each item that I selected came up with a message that read, "Our store is not currently accepting orders." I tried again a few minutes later. Then again. And again. And again. I tried to call and received a voicemail that stated a different number. At 8:50am, the option to order seemed to be back up and running. I ordered five items, including the Roasted Tomatoes & Goat Cheese Quiche. For context: I live 45 minutes away from Buttermilk Bakery. It used to be on my way to work but, as of a few years ago, that is not the case anymore. So, it is now a special occasion destination. Reserved only for weekends when I can make the trip. More context: I have been raving to one of my closet friends for years about how much I love this place. My most emphatic musings have been about the quiche. Today, since she and I were planning an afternoon poolside, I thought that I would surprise her with an assortment of Viennoiserie and other items. At 10:36am, I received a call from Buttermilk. The woman on the phone informed me that they had run out of the quiche. How?!? Once the website was working, I was able to place my order quickly and the item didn't even read, "Low stock." I know that this is a small problem in a world full of large problems, but the thing that really set me off is that when I arrived at the store, the person in line in front of me asked for the Strawberry Buttermilk Pie. He was told that they were out of stock. He was pleasant in stating that there appeared to be slices in the refrigerator case. The girl behind the register told him that they were being held for online orders. When it was my turn, I stated that no one had held my slice of quiche. She blandly said, "I am sorry," and proceeded. I then stated that I was unhappy and had driven some distance. She asked if I would like something else. I responded that the person on the phone had simply told me that I would receive a refund. I then asked for the girl to check on my refund. She said it was not processed yet. So, I said that I would wait. She needed to ask for help to process the refund. She wasn't nasty to me, but she did not care one iota. My effort and subsequent inconvenience meant nothing. I wonder if my refund would even have been processed had I not asked. My friend and I thought the pastries that we received were fine, but she is fitness-minded and was hesitant to indulge in so many carbs without the rich protein that the quiche would have provided. And, yet, more context: This happened once before. With the quiche. Maybe a year ago. Though, that time, I believe it was a butternut squash quiche. My husband needed to be in the area, so he suggested that he pick-up at Buttermilk. When he arrived, he was told that there would be no quiche. No call. No nothing. He didn't think to ask for a refund and we never received one. That time, I simply thought, "Well, accidents happen." This time, I think that I received very shoddy service. I felt very disrespected. I felt unseen. I have loved this place, but I am so disappointed.
