Went to visit this family owned business on Cinco De Mayo and got the two item combo with an enchilada and tamale and OMGGG it was delicious! I don't usually finish all my food because I get full fast but I devoured everything on my plate. Everything was full of flavor and authenticity. It was busy for the holiday but service was still fast and the family who run this works hard and I can tell are good genuine people! They are always so nice and friendly even under pressure. I ordered a tostada expecting a decent portion of grilled chicken, but it was basically drowned in guacamole and sour cream with barely any meat in sight. Where was the grilled chicken? For what you're paying, you'd think they wouldn't be so skimpy. On top of that, chips and salsa are $6 for a small tray. Not only is that frustrating, but the portion is tiny and definitely not worth the price. Feels like a total money grab. Yum. Stopped in here for lunch while working in the area. Found it on yelp (of course) and decided to give it a try. Upon entering it's a bright & vibrant restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring you your food. I ordered the #5 combo: a crunch taco, enchalada, rice & beans. I started with chips and salsa (and extra $1 charge) and the salsa bar was good. The hot orange sauce was flavorful with a kick, the mild was more watery with a strong taste of onion. I liked the hot more. When the food came out it was presented really well. The enchilada was a little disappointing as it was the size of a taquito but half the length. The carne asada inside was very good though. The crispy taco was pretty average but once again the filling made up for it. I also really liked how sour cream and guacamole are included on the plate! Is a clean nice Taqueria. The people that work there are friendly and the food a 7/10. The salsa's at the salsa bar are pretty good but the cups are too small for their chips. The chips seemed a little stale so I figure they are bag chips and not made fresh. Just as a heads up if you would like chips it's a $1 extra cost. Also found the prices to be on par with many of the Taqueria's that were close by. So probably should have a $$ instead of its single $. read more

We've been long time customers of Tepa.......But not any longer! Their food has always been pretty good, their service the same. Over this last 6 months that all started slipping. The last three orders have not been our orders. We can't figure out how this keeps happening. We always order to go. With this being said you have no idea what you're getting till you're home. Last week we ordered the enchilada, chili relleno combo it was good. Also ordered a smothered chicken burrito verde. For the second time it was smothered in red sauce with an odd taste, no green. Tonight was again another mistake. It's become mystery dinner night. Again the enchilada relleno combo. It came good as always. Also ordered a quesadilla supreme, nope not tonight.... Instead they decided I needed a dry chicken burrito with no nothing but meat covered in sour cream which I don't like. Then to top it off we pulled a great big long hair out of the burrito. That was it. No more Tepa. Groceries are so expensive now a days it's not okay for these restaurants to mess up your dinners. It's so sad because it's not the quality of the food it's the service. These people making the mistakes have been there forever. Possible the owners. They are hurting their own businesses. No more for us. This has been three weeks in a row. We ate there once a week. This place is one of my favorite mom-and-pop shop to go to when I'm in my hometown. If I'm not eating at the restaurant I grab a basic baby burrito with sour cream (refried beans and cheese). I have a few friends who aren't bean eaters like me and they will eat the baby burrito from here.
