Chicken Teppanyaki with Rice Combo (soup + drink). $13.60 with tax.
    Kevin C.

This is quite good coming from a food court. It's located at a convenient location, food is alright (acceptable for quick lunch), and pretty cheap too (this would cost way more in Toronto). The portion is plenty, but too much rice. The rice is too sticky (whether intentional or not) for my taste. Although the rice mixed with the sauce it's pretty good - fills you up. I recommend getting combo since it comes with a drink and a soup. The drink is quite large and you can carry it with you after your meal. Having Teppanyaki in a food court is still relatively rare in Canada (at least I don't see any in Toronto). Teppan Kitchen stood out to me in the food court (compared to burgers, Thai Express, among others), tasted okay, and affordable/quick. TK's menu seems very diversified, I'd like to try something else next time.

    No.2, 14 spice chicken meal

Teppan Kitchen is one of those locations I had my eyes on. It's food from a food court, but of course you cannot assume it's going to be bad. I enjoyed the food, hence the 4 stars. The service is quick and the flavours are good; though not mind blowing. The prices are fairly reasonable, since you can get a combo (a main meal plus an add-on, like a drink for $1.50) coming to a total of as low as $11 or so. I ordered the no. 2, the "14 spice chicken." I liked the flavour but it kind of tasted like the sauce was a soybean sauce that I have in a jar at home. I'm sure it's not a hard recipe to make at home, but for lunch it really hit the spot so, hey it's yumz for the tumz at least. Oh yeah, you can burn yourself if you're a klutz, so if you're clumsy, don't eat here or you'll burn your hands and your tongue. Overall, it's pretty delish. Location is close to Waterfront and SFU's Vancouver campus, so it's easily accessible.

    Smoked salmon with pasta

My favourite spot at the Harbour Centre food court is Teppan Kitchen. I've tried several dishes here and plan to try several more. On this visit I had the smoked salmon pasta, which exceeded my expectations. Thanks Teppan Kitchen.

Worst place to eat ever. I went yesterday there with my mom and I ordered the plate number 1 (chicken with rice). i asked the girl if I could change the rice and she gave me 2 options: noodles and veggies. i choosed veggies and when I checked my receipt, she charged me more 1.50 for the veggie and didn't put the rice. She just charged to CHANGE the rice for the veggies. In the pictures showed in the Restaurant, the plates are só big. But in real they are so small containing a small amount of chicken. At the end of the meal I was still Hungry (and I am so small).I cant believe I payed 11.50 in that. Do not recommend at all!!!!

Came back to Teppan Kitchen for lunch again and wasn't disappointed. Finding good Chinese food downtown near Waterfront Station is never easy and I'm always satisfied by what I get at Teppan. This time I picked up a Hainan chicken rice for take out to take back to the office. Managed to sneak in before the lunch hour rush and got my food super quick. The Hainan chicken comes on a nice bed of rice and comes with two types of dipping sauce and cucumbers on the side. In terms of taste, the food is excellent. Like I said before, finding Chinese food like this in a food court is rare since it's not the Canadianized Chinese food that you would normally find. The chicken is boneless and soft although I will confess that the rice is a little bit dry. But - considering it's a food court they do a pretty nice job. Total for lunch was only $9.82! Overall, if we are going to be critical and compare this to a full restaurant then no, maybe Teppan cannot compare. But if you are thinking about finding good Chinese takeout in the downtown area that will do authentic Hong Kong style food, then Teppan will satisfy all your needs.

Nothing beats Teppan Kitchen for convenience when it comes to lunch. This is my favourite place to get Hainanese chicken rice (海南雞飯) in Vancouver. When they first opened I went almost twice a week, and I've raved to everyone I know about this place as well. Their chicken rice is super yummy and filling. The chicken is deboned, and the rice is always fluffy and flavourful. I always get either the rice or their Seafood Laksa.

I got the "Smoked Salmon Pasta with Citrus Cream Sauce" and upgraded to a combo for $1.50 (you get a drink and a miso soup). The pasta was served on a hot skillet sizzling and looked delicious. The taste was as awesome as it looked! I love how they added onion into the pasta, as it definitely added extra flavour. For my drink, I got the lemon coke. I was skeptical about the miso soup because it was really bland the last time I was here, but today was flavourful and excellent. Lastly, the staff was really nice which made the usual and boring food court experience that much better!

It was my first time trying out the food here a few days ago. I ordered the 14 spice chicken because I was craving something flavorful. It's served on a sizzling plate with wooden board along with miso soup on the side. It was good, but my expectation of it being super flavorful was not met. Luckily the miso soup helped with some flavor.

    Seafood/Fishball noodle soup

I've been here a few times, nothing special but it's one of the better options for asian food in Downtown. Spice chicken teppan rice - okay portion, a bit too salty, could use more spice/flavour. Laksa - always takes a long time for this to be ready. Good portion, a bit mild, the soup could be more rich. Seafood / Fishball noodle soup - It's a new item, huge portion, nothing special. Good on a cold day. The laksa is better. You can add a miso soup and drink for $1.50.

A burst of bold flavors for a solid snack!…read more We came for early lunch to try their wagyu and veggie dogs. There was a line but it went fast, we waited ~5 mins and received our dogs, lemonade, and fries within 10 mins. The wagyu termimayo dog was bursting with flavor from the sausage, and balanced well with the mayo/teriyaki/fried onions/seaweed. The veggie okonomi was also yummy with flavorful sausage, sauce, and cabbage (we didn't get the bonito flakes). We also ordered the butter and shoyu fries which were well-seasoned with a shoyu powder and didn't feel any more greasy with butter than regular fries. The yuzu lemonade was surprisingly good, the yuzu flavor was natural, strong, and didn't overpower the lemonade. There is a station where you can get sriracha, ketchup, mayo, and pickled jalapenos on the side to customize your dog to your liking. The interior felt unique and cozy, while still being clean. There is a good amount of seating indoor and outdoor. Typical street parking. Wasn't filling enough to count for a full lunch for us, but a great snack bite!

The menu has a lot of options, but my favorites were the Wagyu Beef Dog (#11) and the Pork Dog (#1). The combination of savory meats, sauces, and fresh toppings takes a simple hot dog to another level. Quick service, great late-night eats, and a Vancouver classic that's worth trying at least once.

This Mcdonalds is unique because there are no chairs and tables anywhere near the stand-alone mall…read morerestaurant. There are also no self-serve computer order kiosks. Eating in is not an option. Note that I came around 9pm on a Monday so maybe they took all the tables away earlier. Years ago when I visited this location, they had many chairs and tables just outside and inside the restaurant. Due to the awful area, a lot of homeless people were hanging around just sitting. Not necessarily eating. Now with the chairs and tables gone, there are barely any of them hanging around so I guess it's for the better. It didn't eliminate the problem entirely because as soon as I stepped out of the restaurant area I was asked a couple times by several people for a "rolling paper", extra change, or a lighter. Also, I noticed some of the windows of the restaurant were broken and boarded up with plywood. Yikes. It was VERY hot out (30 degrees!) So I decided to visit this McDonalds for a cheap but delicious frozen treat. I wanted to try their new peach smoothie but they ran out of it. I came later at 9pm so it's not surprising but it's still disappointing because I love peach smoothies. I settled for their strawberry banana smoothie. The smoothie I bought was delicious so I think it is very much worth it. It was refreshing and I could actually taste the strawberries and Banana flavors in it. In my opinion, a medium size is just enough to cool you down on an extremely hot day. Overall, their fruit smoothies are good! Good price too as it was "summer drinks day" time so it was only $2 for a medium one ($2.38 after tax and cup fee). Service could be better. There was a group of homeless looking people in front of me counting every dime, nickel and quarter to pay for their food so it took a really long time to wait to get my order in. There were 4 cash registers. Usually, another staff member would jump in and take another order using the other register but none came. Only one register was available and there were no self-serve kiosks. I had to wait 5-6 minutes to wait and get my order in even though there was only one order in front of me. Once I got my order in, it took a little longer than expected to get my smoothie, maybe 3-4 minutes. Usually it would take 1-2 minutes if it was not busy like this visit. I have a feeling that this Mcdonalds is either understaffed or just slow. Overall, I'd avoid this location if possible. Slower than expected service, and the type of people that are walking around in the area are not very, say, totally normal. Also there's nowhere to eat your food at the restaurant or near it. Kinda inconvenient. It's a decent grab and go place for the kind of stuff where you can walk and enjoy your food such as smoothies. Only giving 2 stars for the reasons stated above. I recommend you go to the slightly better Mcdonald's nearby instead. It's by Main Street - Science World skytrain station but only one short subway stop away from the Chinatown - Stadium Skytrain Station by the mall.

Otherwise I would have to wait anywhere from a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes because nobody (and I quote) nobody wanted to go into the back freezer for any of the beef patties and all that they had ready were the fish or chicken patties that had been sitting out under the warmer for a few hours!
