I love the vibe and aesthetic. The decor is on point!!! Got a quesadilla and it didn't come with beans and rice side, which made me kind of sad because I love rice and beans LOL. I thought all the quesadillas came with rice. That's unfortunate. That's the only reason for one star down. Otherwise it tasted fantastic. I really want a real Mexican food in the 50 mile radius of Excelsior Springs. I just figure nobody around here even knows what real Mexican people eat at home. It's not easy to buy real hot salsas, sauces, and forget about home made anything around here. Always disappointed with the fake food joints. read more

My family and I will never go back to eat here again. Sure it's convenient in a small town, but you'd 110% be better off traveling out of town to another restaurant that actually cares about their customers. Not to mention their food has really gone downhill over the years. This doesn't apply to all the staff there, but there's a few that have become really unfriendly. read more

Tried this for the first time after they reopened from the fire. Food is ok at best and flavor is pretty lacking. Salsa tasted like it was just tomatoes. Queso also had little flavor. The steak fajita nachos had very little queso on them and the steak was very plain. It's ok, but I'd travel for good Mexican elsewhere read more

Taco Tuesday .99 each - that's where I believe the good ends and the mediocre beings! The place was certainly colorful enough and was clean for the most part. The pricing was ok and selection was ok, but the taste for me just wasn't there. These tacos were the most bland I've ever tasted and let's not even talk about service as there really wasn't much to talk about. However, it's still a decent place to go! read more

I don't know if it was due to the bad Mexican food we encountered on the East Coast or the quality of Tequila Jalisco, but by the time we got to Missouri and ate at this restaurant, everything tasted exceptionally good to us! The menu is extensive, so there are the expected combo meals plus a wide variety of other selections. Entrees were plentiful for the price, and the service was truly excellent. Both servers and management were attentive and one had the feeling that if there was any question or problem, they would fix it immediately. My enchilada and tamale were sooo good. In the tamale, there was more meat than masa. I did pause a moment when I realized they used ground beef instead of pulled beef, but it was ground finer than I've seen and tasted delicious with the sauce and spices and masa coating. My husband's chili relleno was done to perfection. Not too much batter, just enough cheese filling so that the flavor of the pepper wasn't overwhelmed. I have to mention the decor because even hubby commented on it. The colors were wonderful. Walls were painted a Western sunset red fading to yellow. The chairs were all different scenes and designs in vibrant colors as you would find in Mexico. They can fit many large parties in this place. read more

However, we weren't welcomed, we came in monday july 31st at 3 and the man who seated us wasn't welcoming, and our server didn't seem engaged, we had to get our own water, she did check on us but it was very quick and made us feel like we were a burden, she was on her phone and eating in customer view, I get eating and being on your phone but keep it hidden. She didn't use any manners. We saw good reviews so had high hopes but very disappointed. At least it was 99¢ margaritas. She only had one other table. read more

Best Mexican outside of metro KC. I love the huevos rancheros. Friendly, good food, strong margaritas. Can get pretty busy on a weekend evening but rarely have to wait for a table. Always serve more food than I can eat. Good stuff. read more

This was a gem on a recent trip East of Kansas City. Great mix of authentic and Tex-Mex Midwest. We has a shrimp dish and a chicken dish, tried the guacamole and salsa verde. They have great margarita specials, but we took a rain check until a day we aren't driving. read more

Usually very good. However on this visit they were busy and very slow. Seemed to forget our order and then the manager said it wasn't his fault they were busy. Portion sizes were smaller than normal also. Definitely won't go back when it is busy read more

We have eaten here twice before and had GREAT service and food. NOT anymore. I cannot say it was Mexican fast food because it was slow and they served our tortillas AFTER we had eaten, the salsa tastes like there is sugar in it, WTH? I had the steak mexicano, YIKES I have eaten pine that was more tender. My wife had Combo #1 HOLY MOLLY taco had a little meat lettuce and 1/4 teaspoon of cheese, the enchilada had ground beef wrapped in tortilla and a little sauce. That was all. YUCK. I think there is new owners or absent owners, service SUCKED. read more

Food is excellent and you will not find better service anywhere. We eat there atleast once a week and haven't been disappointed yet!
