Meh... it was ok. The service was the total 3. Very friendly and helpful. The food was just not to my preference. I had ordered a chicken taco and it came beef which is ok but it was salty and meh.... The enchiladas were not good at all. The cheese had not melted all the way and tasted to American cheese like. Their salsa definitely stole the show. Tasted very fresh and flavorful. The service here is great, all the servers were extremely friendly and attentive. They are also extremely fast with putting in orders and getting food out to you. I ordered the sopes without meat, and they were pretty good! I think they would have been better with meat but I don't often opt in for meat so it is what it is hahaha! I think the meat would have added a lot more flavor, because with just beans it didn't have much unfortunately. Immediately greeted and seated (you can wait to be seated or just find an empty table). Our server was polite and professional. Lady was constantly going up and down bringing fresh chips and salsa to keep each table replenished. food was excellent. Tacos served on flour instead of a double corn tortilla so that threw me off a bit being from Texas where mexican food is a staple. The refried beans needed a bit better flavor. but everything else was really good. Clean tables and seats. Floor was not sticky or greasy. They have alcohol. A small Mexican restaurant directly across the street from the grave of Kearney's most famous son - Jesse James. A large Menu with all the standard fare from Street Tacos and Tamales to Fajitas and Salads. I love a good quesadilla and order them frequently. I veered away from my usual shrimp quesadilla when I noticed The Hawaiian, made with chorizo, grilled pineapple and lots of cheese melted between two crispy and buttery grilled tortillas. The best quesadilla I've ever encountered! It was large and served with sour cream and guacamole for $12. The free chips and salsa were adequate, the salsa was thick and tasty, albeit the chips were not fresh out of the warmer or fryer. My buddy the chimichanga addict was very satisfied with his go-to selection. Service was seamless and efficient. A definite return visit when I'm in Kearney again. read more

Don't expect a 1" cut of meat like Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn, but you will get a tender 1/2" slice of steak covered and surrounded by lots of tasty food. Loved the quick service, but for my one diary cheat day I really wanted an authentic chile relleno, what I got was a chile stuffed with cheese dip. Very odd and made the texture a bit unpleasant. But the quality was definitely there. If we are ever in Kearney again i might try the flautas or enchiladas next time. read more

I'll admit, that I wasn't expecting much when I visited because I already have a favorite Mexican restaurant in town. HOWEVER, I was actually pretty impressed. I presented the chicken lunch fajitas, which were only $8, every day of the week and a large margarita. Both were very good. Having eaten Mexican in Tijuana and Rosarito Beach, Mexican Neighbors that cook for me and eating Mexican all my life, Ihave to say this was the Worst!!! Salsa was tomato and garlic with a bit of cilantro thrown in. I had the Chicken Flautas. There was Absolut no seasoning on the chicken, just chunks of onions and green Bell Peppers. Guacamole was dark green, meaning that it was out for quite a time, not prepared fresh. Indigestion from salsa was so bad that I didn't get over it until 10 am the next morning. (we ate at 11 am). Saw a few reviews and decided to give it a try. Drove to Kearney with modest expectations. Blown away by the street tacos on our first trip. I had the Taquiza tacos. This plate included four tacos - steak, chorizo, carnitas and chicken along with a side of rice. Absolutely delicious! My wife had the Al Pastor tacos. They were so good she refused to share - a first for us in 35+ years of marriage. We'll be back...soon. read more

For a restaurant named Molcajete they only had 2 options and they were small but efficient portions. Was ok but I have had much much better. Service is sparse rude from people who were not even my server when I asked for my missing items was told they didn't come with it yet the menu said it did. Later same person told another patron she was also wrong I think he thinks he has never made a mistake. The lady bussing tables was super fast in her job when I went to pay and the other went to the restroom she zoomed over and cleared the table. The person said something and Mr. Now it all told her and she dug it out of the bus bin and tried to give it to the drink owner lol it was covered in mess omg it was hilarious like no one in there right mind would do this. Mr know it all tried to tell her to make another but she was insistent on giving the original cup from the nasty bin!!!! I ordered a burrito filled with a combination of steak, chicken and shrimp with shredded chorizo on top. It was drizzled with a light queso cheese sauce and it was outstanding. Super fresh and so full of flavor. Service was prompt, food was served shortly after ordering, and prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this new Kearney restaurant.
