First time here was very happy to see they had our pollo Jalisco, different name from what I'm use to but wow they do it well. Very generous with the chorizo, great flavor. Both chips and salsa very tasty. Not a fan of the sopapillas but I'm finding that this is how they do them in Michigan. This place is so fun! From the moment you pull into the parking lot and hear the festive music piped outside, to entering the extremely colourful and huge former train station with high ceilings, to the end of your huge meal, it's a really fun spot. The menus are giant, with tons of options for whatever combination of Mexican foods suit you. You can get margaritas and sangria by the pitcher. The service was very friendly, felt family-run, and very quick. The menus have a little explanation of standard menu choices to help out anyone who isn't sure how a chalupa differs from a taco, which is nice. All of the tables and chairs seem to be individually painted and unique, which was very cool. We came with a group of 6 on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. I tried a chicken dish that came with refried beans, rice, avocado salad, and several warm flour tortillas to wrap up the ingredients in. Everything was delicious. House chips and salsa were served as soon as we sat down and ordered drinks, a nice free appetizer. Would absolutely go here again. Prices are not super cheap, but reasonable, and you'll get a lot of food! read more

Ate outside and the staff did not inform us that they had just painted chairs and tables yesterday. Shirt and pants are ruined. Tried to speak to manager and they refused to talk to us, would not take anything off our bill or even apologize to us. Very disheartening!! read more

Hits most of the basics: authentic, family run, brightly colored bathrooms, beer with limes, and of course good Tacoian fare. It's the atmosphere category however where this prideful family excels in raising the bar for my own Mexican food experience. It's in a train depot circa 1885 complete with deer trophies and mole colored vault ceiling. Ask for the hot salsa Worth the trip since you probably don't live. read more

Nothing really to write home about. The meat there is pretty bland. They don't really season the beef. I had three enchiladas and they were pretty bland tasting no flavor at all. I was kind of disappointed. And for the waiter to come back and check on you you have to raise your hand to get any kind of service back there. That was a huge letdown! I prefer when I go out to eat that the wait staff checks up on you once in a while. I do not like to be put at a table and forgotten about after I get my food. The other part is the fact that nobody really speaks English there. So it makes it hard to order what you want. And then when there's a problem on your bill. Trying to get that fixed forget about it. You have to wait around until somebody who speaks Spanish and English can come and interpret for you. That is a huge letdown. I pretty much figured if you're going to have a Mexican restaurant in America please at least speak English so you can talk to your customers. Fun location in an old train station. The salsa was pretty bland. The deluxe nachos came covered with a processed white cheese (bizarre), refried beans, shredded lettuce, and a slice of tomato. All for $8.75. Really quite bad. The shredded chicken in mole sauce was excellent. Service was spotty. We saw one of the servers playing on her phone outside of the front door as we left. read more
