We walked out after noone came to wait on us for 10 plus min. Sad because we love the food. Service is nonexistent literally. For some reason the glasses are upside down on all the tables. Very nice restaurant, on the expensive side and is mostly pasta and sea food. I get that's an Italian restaurant thing so if that's your thing, they do a great job! Not following CDC guidelines or state mandate. When I arrived to pick up my takeout order, I was greeted by a young lady with her mask below her nose and I gloves. As I looked in the kitchen area I saw no employees with masks. I called this to the attention of the 'manager' who told me 'sometimes we do and sometimes we don't' wear masks. Loved the chicken franchise ! Such a great lemony flavor! Huge side salad with great dressing! Tomato and cucumber dish was freshly made and so tasty! Topped off the meal with a yummy Tiramasu! Dinner for six, no problem with getting a reservation. We skipped appetizers because the place has a (well deserved) reputation for generous portions. Fresh warm rolls, oil or butter, very good. Salads were large and fresh. I opted for the soup, which was actually a light chili. Balanced and not overly spicy. We all opted for different dishes, and the kitchen delivered all in a timely manner. My veal saltimbocca was delicious, in a light but tasty sauce. Could have had pasta with red sauce but opted for the same sauce as the meat. Managed to eat half the serving, plenty for take-home. Just room for coffee afterwards, and that was also very good. Our waitress was friendly, cheerful, attentive, all you could ask for. Looking forward to returning, same for the whole family. read more

This used to be the best dine in restaurant in town. Not anymore. The past few times, the food has been mediocre at best. Tried it one more time yesterday and was disappointed again. When I mentioned it to two different waitresse, they told my it's a new generation doing the cooking now. That explains the decline in the food prep and taste. I've driven past Teresa's Restaurant dozens of times over the years on my way going to or from various places in Massachusetts. I'd even taken notice of it at those times thinking it looked intriguing, and that some day I might stop in if the timing was right. Based upon my Yelp friend Don P's glowing review & great photographs of the dishes they serve, I made a point of stopping in today on my way back from Rose32 Bread Bakery (another absolute gem of a find), in nearby Hardwick. It was late lunch time but we were pretty hungry and ready to chow down. I ordered the tortellini soup which was more than a little disappointing. It had an ok broth, but not an over abundance of tortellini, and absolutely nothing else. No chicken, no veggies, nothing. Not off to a good start. Things began to look up when the small warm rolls they served instead of bread, came to the table, along with warm olive oil generously flavored with garlic. They were really perfect with this meal, and a nice departure from the usual Italian bread. Our garden salads were nicely presented, with a reasonable amount of lettuce, tomato, onion & cucumber, along with a very generous amount of blue cheese dressing. I ordered the ziti with meat sauce and Italian sausage, while my fellow diner had the stuffed shells. She tried hers while I finished up my salad. She exclaimed that the sauce was wonderful. I agreed whole-heartedly once I sampled my pasta. The sauce was definitely the star of this show. Not too spicy, and not a hint of bitterness. Mildly sweet, the sauce was excellent. Mine had meat sauce that had lots of nice, big pieces of ground beef in it. I didn't realize until I was well into the dish, that there wasn't any sausage in the dish. I mentioned it when our server came to box up our leftovers to take home. She apologized, and said the sausage was in the container with the take-home, and was deducted from the check. Very nice of them to do that. Except for the anemic tortellini soup, this would have easily rated five stars. Service was very attentive. I've really got to thank Don P for giving me the incentive to go out of my way to give this hidden gem Italian Restaurant a shot. It's more than a little out of the way for me (like 75 miles). read more

I had gone here to eat with my family and silverware was dirty, also drinks had food residue in it. Food is good but the dishes was still dirty I'm sorry but I couldn't even eat I felt sick after the 4th time the waitress came back with supposed "clean dishes and silverware ". I'm very disappointed, I'm very OCD I go out to eat a lot and spend lots of money to eat good and hate it when places like this disappoints me. read more

Really wish there was an option for a half star option. 3 is generous but 2 1/2 is more like it. We had a reservation for 11 people for a graduation dinner. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server filling up our water glasses. While we waited for the rest of our group we were asked if we would like drinks. My wife asked about a drink that was on the website and was told that it was a summer drink and not available. After looking at the drink menu she chose a martini....that's listed on the website as seasonal...and came shaken, not frozen as advertised on the website. Warm rolls with the seasoned oil and butter came out, very tasty oil and fresh rolls. Appetizers were ordered for the table. Fried mozzarella, toasted ravioli and fried calamari. Not bad. Ordered our meals. Of course after we ordered, we overhead another server tell the table next to us about the specials...Speacials? We weren't told about specials......now I get it, it's a busy Saturday night and there were 11 of us, but it really seemed like our server was annoyed that she had a party of 11 by herself that weren't "regulars". My wife ordered the chicken breast al a Calabrese....which is chicken, mushrooms, butter, mozzarella and wine....no mention of marinara....but it came out topped with marinara....completely changes the dish....I ordered the Teresa's special....veal cutlet, eggplant, sauce and cheese and baked.....Definitely not baked. All they did was put some sauce on the plate, fried the veal and eggplant, put on the plate, covered in sauce and topped with cheese that they melted under a broiler....the veal was good, but heavy on the sauce....which I would have preferred on the side of ziti that barely had any sauce. We were never asked if we wanted grated cheese, which is odd considering every Italian restaurant I've ever been to has always offered grated cheese, whether it was freshly grated on your plate or in a shaker on the table...asked for crushed red pepper....got it as we were finishing the meal. Not a big deal but she brought it to the table and slammed it on the table....yeah....thanks. Then no sooner that it was brought over, another server came over and asked if we were done with it. Really? Italian restaurant and you don't have enough shakers of crushed red pepper? We were never asked if we wanted dessert...no biggie, we were pretty much put off anyways. Can honestly say, not the worst and certainly not the best, but I have no reason to go back.... read more

I had dinner at Teresa's on Friday night. It was an awesome experience. Soon after being seated warm rolls, butter and oil were at our table and our drink orders taken. Both cocktails were delicious. The places was bustling with the coming and going of patrons.The menu selection was quite varied both in choices and pricing going from great looking pizza to fine dining entrees. My daughter and I both had a different veal dish. Both were excellent and came with choice of salad or soup and a side of pasta. Salads were fresh and delicious as was our pasta choices. The staff was very attentive , informative and pleasant. It was amazing at how effortlessly the staff moved about taking orders, delivering the dishes in a timely manner with the constant change over of patrons. The atmosphere was casual. We called ahead to put in a dinner order for 5 as it was late. We wanted to eat there but had limited time. They were completely on board with us doing so. Made it very convenient for a busy family to get a really tasty dinner in before having to run back out. The pizza was so good we had to stop ourselves from eating more. First time dining at Teresa's and what a very nice surprise it turned out to be. The Pasta e Fagioli was a wonderful preparation of that timeless Italian classic, a very flavorful soup indeed. My one criticism is I like my pasta al dente and if they had added the precooked pasta just before serving that would have made it absolutely perfect for me. That not with standing, this was a very flavorful deliciously prepared soup. I can't tell you the times I have ordered Linguine alle Vongole and been disappointed with the overall lack of flavor. The dish I ordered had a creamy garlic butter sauce that was absolutely outstanding. The rich depth and intensity of garlic and clam flavor was absolutely extraordinary, one of the clear winners in my experience. I plan to return and a take a run at their pizza to see how they do but as for their Italian dishes they are 4 stars +. Teresa's is one of those hidden Italian gems that deserves a drive-by from almost anywhere! read more

They lost two stars on the owners' kid's (the "manager") attitude, service by our waitress was very good, she made a small mistake by offering me a choice of small or large portion of the cæsar salad, I took the small after learning the large portion was more that I could chew on, no pun intended, also I asked to add grilled chicken to it, it says it on the menu: add chicken to any... ANY! Goddamned salad. I was informed a minute later I couldn't get chicken on my salad because it was small. (What a circus, right?) I asked for the manager, the owners' kid came out with the typical pompous attitude of an asshole. He blamed it on everybody, and after learning that I didn't care whose mistake it was, and that I actually blamed it on his poor training skills he said -with an air of magnanimity of course- that he would grant my request. Like it so far? Well good for you but I'm tired of typing, why don't you come on over and experience it first hand? 1/7/2016 update: One of their waitresses -Jennifer O- contacted me via the Yelp messaging system assaulting me and harassing me, what a pretty bunch. I've been going to Teresa's since they opened, many years ago, and despite never having changed owners, inconsistency has made it good at times, and upon other visits, less than good. Fortunately, right now, it's very good. Perhaps in anticipation of the opening of a new local Italian restaurant, Teresa's built a nice addition to their bar, with several comfortable tables and large screen TVs. You can order off the menu, and the bartender did a good job of balancing table service and bartending duties on the night we were there. They also added a long-needed martini menu, which helps position Teresa's as slightly more upscale. Teresa's has several long-term waitstaff who are excellent. The inconsistencies over the years have been with the food. This is an Italian restaurant, and there is no excuse for overcooked pasta. I've also forced down dried out, crispy baked haddock, questionably fresh steak, and a disappointing white pizza that had only broccoli stalks and no florettes. Over the last few months, however, I've been there 3 times, and everything has been top shelf. The chef has been right on his game, and we've been very pleased. All in all, right now, Teresa's offers good food and a good value. read more

The only redeeming thing was the waitress was very good, attentive n' friendly. I ordered the cod Florentine, stuffed w/spinach, crab and topped with a cream sauce, side penne w/ marinara. Sister got fried Shrimp & Fries .... both came with salads. The salads suck ... Soooooooo 1970's made with 95% iceberg lettuce and one cherry tomato and a few slices of red onion ... swimming (drowned) in salad dressing. I returned my entree, the crab in the center was stone cold, it disgusted me, so I couldn't eat anything else. My sister's shrimp and fries were both right out of a frozen box and greasy. Such a nice surprise in Ware. The service is good and attentive. Bread is very good. Had the side salad, tortellini in Alfredo sauce, and a personal pepperoni pizza. The pizza was bigger than any personal pizza I've had. The sauce was good and the crust is excellent. The tortellini in Alfredo sauce is flavorful and not to thick. Bread is served with chopped garlic. It is a small detail but it shows care in their food. Tiramisu to round it out was sweeter than I am accustomed too. Still good. read more

Making the reservation for our large party seemed inconvenient. Arriving to no preparation for our large party. The staffs inability to make a decision. To the (what I am assuming is the owner/manager) peering at us across the restaurant with not a customer service thought or word from anyone. The waitresses tried to make it work but the comments lead you to believe that the tension was from higher ups. The food was reasonably priced. Never had a bad experience here. Food is always superb and service is between good and excellent. I highly recommend their combination pizza, especially if you like a little of everything. I can't really say I have explored too many of their other menu options as of yet, but I am quite certain they are at least acceptable in quality. Always very busy, especially so on Fridays and Saturdays, and sometimes Sunday too. However, do not be fooled by the potentially long wait times, it is worth it. read more

This is a family restaurant. Food is very good, portions are large. i had scallops w/ pasta. There was a half lb of scallops!!!marinara sause is perfect! Waitress was great. Yes ,it is old deco, clean,but could use updating. Note; Do not go on fri or say night w/out a reservation! My wife and I met a friend at Teresas last night and it was a great experience. We all had appetizers and few drinks but they were great and the service was very good even though the lounge area was busy. I had the fried calamari and it was better than the calamari I just had recently on vacation in Rhode Island. I was pleasantly surprised. They had live entertainment as well, it was a man and woman playing harmonica and guitar, respectively. They were good, just a bit loud for the room, in my opinion, as it was difficult to maintain out conversations but not a big deal. I will definitely be back. read more

We went here for the first time as a friend of mine moved there recently. Yes, it is a tad dated, but it is very clean and well-appointed. I had the prime rib special (which is in garlic sauce) and it was really good. It wasn't the tenderest prime rib I've ever had, and it came out more medium than medium rare as ordered, but the flavor was solid. The Caesar salad was good as was the tiramisu. This was our first time in Ware. We had come to spend three days driving at the new track and our airbnb host recommended Teresa's for dinner. This place was so awesome we came three days in a row. First night was a thursday and empty My friend and I ordered the calamari appetizer one pasta and one fish dish. Way too much food. All of it excellent! Our waitress Sue was awesome. She gave us a stack of menus and the next day we came back with about 20 friends The place was packed. Make reservations on the weekend! I ordered the shrimp cocktail and caprese appetizer. Still too much for me to finish! Day three I went for the side of spinach and the shrimp scampi. That together was a normal size portion. I don't typically enjoy dining at the bar at Teresa's, I've always encountered rude staff (bartenders). I decided to have a drink while waiting for my pick up order to be ready. As I sat at the bar, the bartender asked if we wanted menus. I replied no we placed a pickup order. He directed us to the pickup window. I told him we sat at the bar to have a drink obviously confused because I'm well aware of where to pick up my food. He then took my ID and my friends and said "oh, I can already tell these are fake." He then proceeded to say he could not combine the take out order with the drink orders. I knew this was a lie as it has been done in the past. He was extremely unhelpful, unwilling to wait on us, and rude. I have never had a good experience at this establishment and will not return for any dine in experience. read more
