Teresina Soapstone repaired a seam that busted in my kitchen granite countertops last spring. I understood that "repair work" cannot be guaranteed. Well, unfortunately within about 5 months, the seam busted again. I contacted the company in late December to get an estimate and their availability to repair again. They were out due to holidays (of course, as they should be) so I called again in the new year and got through to someone on the phone. Rosemary or Kendra...They said they would get back to me with their availability....days and weeks pass by with no word. months pass by and I email and call again....nothing. I got ghosted because my job is clearly not lucrative enough for them to give me the time of day. I just wish they had the decency to call me back and be real with me. Well, I am doing a huge kitchen remodel now and I surely will NOT be using this company. My real estate and interior designer friends are getting my recommendations for other companies. read more

Teresina Soapstone totally rocked from our initial appointment to the last day of installation and Ben has shown himself to be an excellent resource with general good guy- ness. He accommodated our work schedule by opening the showroom on Saturdays and provided us with all of the information we needed for the purchase. Our kitchen counter top was installed by Sierra Soapstone but we needed additional work done but they were bought out by Teresina. Our experience with Teresina has been very disappointing and the customer service has been apathetic. We had an installation scheduled with a window of 1-5 PM and they showed up at 6:30. We had no choice because other work was contingent on this getting completed. We tried calling to get updates during the window to no avail or the phone was not answered with a mailbox that is full. After the job was done, we tried to resolve our concern and were met with apathetic customer service; they had no concern for our schedule or circumstances. I was told on a Wednesday I'd be called back that night or the next day and after a week I have given up on having anyone call me. If you have an option to go with another company I would strongly suggest that you consider doing so. read more

I hired Teresina Soapstone to install green minas soapstone countertops in my SF condo in May, 2012. First, I'm delighted with the counters. Second, the entire operation was very professional, punctual, and pleasant to deal with. Carrie did a great job of handling all of the logistics. Ben Arreguy was exceptionally knowledgeable and came to my house to perform the 'template' where they measure the counter spaces prior to cutting. When he came for the install, he noticed a slight imperfection in the cutting. Rather than taking a shortcut, he sent his team back the next day to correct the issue. We worked with Teresina Soapstone to install Noire soapstone tops on two bathroom vanities. Carrie was exceptionally helpful throughout the process. if you're thinking about getting soapstone for any part of your house, don't look any further! i've contacted several different suppliers throughout the country to get estimates for our kitchen project. Teresina Soapstone was by far the best in every regard! Customer service should be standardized to be up to par with that of Teresina Soapstone! Carrie was always getting back to me within an hour of sending an email, displaying the patience of a saint, when it came to answering all my questions (and there were a lot) about the kind of soapstone we should use, and the estimates of the cost for our seemingly ever changing design... Ben took the time to meet us on a Saturday, where we were going to take a look at the soapstone we had already chosen online (just to be sure), but fell in love with a completely different kind. Teresina Soapstone kept the stone in their lot, storing it really, for half a year, while we dawdled around with our project. Once we were ready and had our final dimensions, i gave ben a call, and within a week i had my sink and countertop in my kitchen! The craftsmanship on the pieces is outstanding, it turned out even better than i had imagined. everyone who comes by to check on our progress compliments us on the soapstone, and keeps touching it as though it was a pet - very funny... I was referred to Teresina from a stone fabricator in Chico. I call them to see if they had anything that would work for my "list of demands" (color and size). From the first hello they were super helpful. We drove down from Chico on a Friday to check out what they had. Great selection, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, they only had one slab that fit our criteria to look at. It was beautiful so we took it. They were kind enough to hold on to it for us until out fabricator was ready, a couple of months, and delivered to Chico for a nominal fee.
