Neighborhood gem and my go to teriyaki place. Best teriyaki chicken around. The folks who work there are super kind.

Service and customer resolution were awful. I ordered ahead and waited another ten minutes after I arrived. I made a mistake ordering and they refused to resolve it. Which has never happened to me anywhere else. The right thing to do would be to remake the entree. I guess the customer doesn't really matter, money does though! The food was just okay to boot! Don't worry we won't give this business anymore of our hard earned money. read more

This place is solid as my younger co worker at the job would say, that means it's very good .. btw this place is open on Sunday that's a dream.. this place I must have past it at least once a week all I can see is the sign teriyaki I didn't see the island part it had some pictures on the outside of the food they served but inside they do have an extensive menu and the Asian lady there is super sweet , she bring the food to your seat and when ask for a Togo containers she put it in the bag herself so it won't spill. If you don't get a drink the free water is in a good size glass rather quite big compare to the rest, I got yakisoba and udon both came out hot, you know that's my jam if it's hot coming out , you got me definitely coming back.. Extremely good teriyaki we stopped in after a trip to cosco we were going to go to sushi berito but walking by it smelled so good and was packed so we changed our minds. It was a great decision the teriyaki was had a perfect char from the grill and was tender and juicy. The sause was great both my chicken and pork and my wife's spicy were amazing. This is one of the best we had. No wonder why it was so packed. If your even close to this area stop in for an amazing meal. read more

Probably the worst teriyaki experience I've ever had. I ordered a chicken teriyaki, extra meat, and an extra side salad. They put the extra meat in a separate box instead of the box that my food was in. The extra side salad didn't come with salad dressing and to top it all off they don't even have their own salad dressing ITS RANCH F*CK THAT 0-10 don't recommend. read more

Not bad! Large portion sizes and I appreciate that they give you a small salad with ranch too , even though it's nothing special. The chicken breast and chicken and beef combos were both good. The beef had a few grizzly bites but overall was solid. The teriyaki sauce itself was just okay. I would also recommend ordering extra sauce since you only get one small container with your order. Egg rolls were filling but nothing to write home about. I would probably skip them next time. Overall a decent teriyaki spot. read more

Beef teriyaki is the best here. Always get this when we come in. It's the best beef teriyaki around in terms of flavor and quality. The sushi isn't memorable because the rice is under seasoned - it's not bad though. Definitely fixes a craving if you're really needing sushi. The spicy chicken teriyaki is good for those who like Korean red pepper pastes (the store owners are Korean) because that's the flavor base. It's a little too spicy for me but then again so is Sriracha so we're not a spicy loving family. The char flame grill taste is why we come - and the spicy mayo on the table is deliciousness in a bottle. read more

Located in a rather isolated area of Aurora Av North. Walking in, the good news s tat they seem to prep orders to go. Only one other customer and waited about 20 minutes for my order to go. Nice man charge of register and phone orders. Ordered chicken teriyaki and wonton soup. Wonton soup had nice wontons, but utterly tasteless broth. Chicken teriyaki was pre-marinated, but unfortunately dry. Slight char on pieces. Came with pre-dressed salad. Needed teriyaki sauce to add moisture to meat. No gyoza to this Oder. A rather small portion of chicken meat to this order and an even smaller amount of salad. Nice dressing to salad Unfortunately, not a good deal on amount or quality of chicken. They also offer bahn mei sandwiches , which I did not try. One could order a sandwich and soup combination. Nice service, jhowever cannot recommend the food here. read more

Ok tonight I went to pick up food for the whole family. 2 locations at the same area. They wanted teriyaki and so I went to Teriyaki Islands. I remember ordering from them before but can't really remember how they were. I just ordered the regular teriyaki. Fist of all they give you lots of meat and lots of meat doesn't mean it is good. The salad wasn't good. The container looks like it came from a grocery store. The dressing is very tasteless and the chicken wasn't as good as ichiro teriyaki. So 1-5 I would give it a 2* read more

There's nothing fancy about this place, except the food. They seem to use extremely fresh ingredients, and the Yakisoba we enjoy has chicken, beef and shrimp, each of which has its own unique flavor and is cooked to perfection. We live in Renton and it's a long way up there, but whenever we're in the area we make it a point to stop here, the food is worth the visit. read more

Get the miso soup. I'd really just write those 4 words and be on my way, but most would dismiss such a short review and then miss out on the miso soup. I'm sure you're thinking "yeah, yeah, yeah, miso soup. Everyone does it. Big whoop". This miso soup is different in ways I can't explain. Maybe it's because it's so darn cold lately, but tucking in to a bowl of their miso soup is warming and soothing all in one. The flavor is so robust and glorious. It's miso soup, to be sure, but like, the BEST miso soup ever. If there is any room left after that delicious soup, try the chicken katsu (yum!) or the beef teriyaki (also yum!). The portions are large and left overs are inevitable (except for the soup.). When it's delivered it arrives piping hot and tastes delish! read more

Very friendly, kind people & customer service and great food! Their chicken tasted really good and so did the pot stickers- they have some lunch specials that are really good pricing and I enjoyed it and will be back... there's a giant parking lot in front of them ( across from Costco & Home Depot), so it's easy parking but it's a constantly crowded area but still worth the trip!! This is my go to Teriyaki spot in shoreline. We have some good places but the speed and taste here make it the best. They offer Teriyaki, Chinese and sushi. I almost always get the Katsu and its fried to perfection. They are always accommodating when I ask for no salad they give me extra rice. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. One of my go to for this place though is the Miso Soup. You can get it in a huge container for not much and its soo good. read more

Sauces were yummy, although the salad dressing seemed similar to ranch, which we weren't expecting, but it was still pretty flavorful and good on the salad. Fast, no fuss service. I got Shrimp tempura sushi, for 10 bucks, it was a smaller serving and the rice, meat and fillings tasted warm rather than fully cool. I think it was ok since tempura is cooked but for raw sushi this would be a deal breaker. When I was a kid, this used to be a Magic Dragon, and unfortunately, now the interior looks a bit worse for wear. I ate here a week ago, as take-out. The Teriyaki chicken was delicious and perfectly done. Today I ate inside, ordered sweet and sour chicken. The sauce and vegetables (green pepper, onion, pineapple, and carrots) were fresh and tasty. The meal came with two gyoza, two scoops of rice and hot'n'sour soup... a generous amount of food. Food is still good, your average teriyaki joint - fills your belly but not going to have you stuff your face due to flavor or quality. Gal at the counter was friendly and really fast. Place was jam packed at lunch during the weekday I was there with a long line of people like myself getting take out. They have lunch specials at a discounted rate, and the portions are good. We love the food and fast/friendly service. The only problem is the amount of waste generated by just a small meal for two or three people. Almost nothing they use for packaging is recyclable they could even use less of that if they tried a little harder. Most meals are takeout these days so I can only imagine how much is going in the trash. 2 stars because the portion was a good size. I ordered the kung pao chicken. Other than the size of the order I didn't like anything about it. The color of the food was not appealing. The chicken meat was questionable. The meat felt, tasted, and looked like chicken gizzards instead of regular chicken meat. I ordered the half chicken half katsu Teriyaki. Katsu can be a real hit or miss for Teriyaki joints but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was at Teriyaki Island. I'm not saying it's the best Katsu I've ever had but as far as Katsu from a Teriyaki restaurant it's probably the best. The woman working the registrar was friendly and the restaurant was clean. This place was packed and I got my food in 5 minutes. The chicken is meh, the quality is chewy and not that great and the sauce is the worst sauce I've ever had. Its not bad just basted on the chicken, but additional sauce they give in a little cup.....it's terrible. Even has a bad aftertaste. So, while they are fast......it's not worth gnawing your way through questionable chicken and overly grossly sweet, bad tasting sauce. It was $9 for this punch combo special.
