Found another tasty teriyaki place in the Lynnwood area, I ordered the Spicy Chicken & Beef Teriyaki w/Brown Rice; however it didn't come with brown rice when I arrived back at the office. Think the brown rice was a simple overlook. The food was very good in my opinion, chicken and beef were cooked very well; steak was not overdone. The spice level was decent, gave the meal a little kick but not over powered. I would recommend Teriyaki Plus if you're in the area. Fabulous teriyaki and tempura. I've ordered almost everything on the menu (sans sushi....I'm not a fan of ANY sushi). The teriyaki sauce is well balanced and not too sweet. They do always garnish every meal with a slice of lemon which balances the sauce out if you find it too sweet (I don't find the sauce too sweet, but I have occasionally squeezed it on the salad to balance out the slightly too sweet salad dressing). The protein is always moist (and I regularly order the chicken skewers meal with is chicken breast. It still has the smoky caramelized grill flavor and is never over-cooked). I LOVE the tempura which is always very crisp and flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of their tempura dipping sauce, but it's really not even necessary because the tempura is outstanding on it's own. I love, love, LOVE, the short ribs. Always juicy, meaty, well caramelized, and not to mention that the portion is larger than average portion compared to most other places (I've gotten mostly bones with little to no meat at most other places). I also have to mention the service. We've always been greeted kindly and the servers have a very friendly demeanor. I believe it's a family owned place and they have always been amazing to me, as well as my regular 'delivery guy'...My 11 year old son...lol. He often walks to the restaurant to pick up our to-go order. He always comes back saying how nice and funny the servers are. In fact, that was the case tonight when he picked up our dinner. I asked my son how much he tipped them this time, and he said "oh, I'm supposed to tip them?! lol. Note to Teriyaki Plus staff: We owe you some tips! We'll get you next time! :) SIDE NOTE: A new teriyaki place opened up across the street from Teriyaki Plus. A great place for take out. I ordered chicken teriyaki which came w a side salad. They have a good menu selection w daily specials as well. The flavors were delicious and generous and the order was ready in approx 10min. The price was very good....$8.50 before tax for a great meal. I will be visiting here again soon. My boyfriend and I recently moved close to this Teriyaki Plus. I have a favorite Teriyaki joint in the U-district and I'm always leery of trying something else. Well, he twisted my arm, we took the plunge and I'm so glad we did! This is a great, clean teriyaki restaurant that not only tasted d'lish but they also took the time to give a very lovely presentation of the food. They have the standard teriyaki menu that you'll find most places, but they also offer other things like bento boxes and family size meals for take out. What topped off the service? We both ordered a fountain drink but decided to just drink water. The owner came to our table as we were finishing up and told us he saw that we only had water and gave us our drink money back! I'd give it 3.5 stars if possible but since you can't I'm going to give it 3. Everything is good or great about this place... the food in terms of taste, the portions, menu, friendliness of the employees, decent atmosphere and so on. That being said, it is ungodly slow. I've been here twice in the past couple weeks and ordered the same thing each time: the chicken, beef and pork combo 4 out of 5 stars. I like that you can order all 3 meats as I've never seen that at another teriyaki joint, it's a good size portion and tastes great. The problem like I said before is that the service is very slow. I went in with my father a couple weeks ago on a weeknight with only about another handful of other people or fewer in the place and it took us quite awhile to get our food. We went in again last Friday at 6:30-7pm with the rest of the family, 4 adults and a 2 year old and they only had 2 cooks in the kitchen. The place was very busy, every table was taken and the phone ringing off the hook for to go orders. Like I said before, the food and everything else is all very good but it probably took us a good 30 minutes to get our food. Being that it's a Friday night at prime time for the dinner rush maybe you should hire another cook or two? I'll definitely be back again, just hope they can make the service a bit quicker. read more

The people who owned the place back in the day were a very nice Korean couple who always remembered us when we came in. I've been back a couple times when I'm back in town to visit the Fam and the new owners are super nice as well. They give you so much food that its almost like you're ripping them off. The beef teriyaki and spicy chicken is so super delicious, you gotta try it for yourself. I haven't been here in almost a year and my review is based on past experiences so I'll leave it up to you to take my word for it. That is the only reason why I give it a 4 instead of 5 stars. But when I'm home for Christmas (I hope), I'll be there with an empty stomach and major appetite. read more

Teriyaki Plus is a stand alone (non-chain) teriyaki spot with smiling faces and decent food. Located in a strip mall behind Dairy Queen, it is easily missed from the main streets. Teriyaki Plus has a wide variety of dishes...much larger than most. This makes the posted menu a bit difficult to navigate, but the to-to menu is organized much better. The lunch special is a great deal at $4.75 (a bit more for Pork or Beef), and they also have a rotating special each day that is typically a combo plate for $6.45. There is also a selection of Bento boxes, the only items that include sushi. Lastly, they offer family style dishes designed to feed 2-5 people. Pricing makes them more optimal for parties of 3 or more. My last visit was for the Chicken and Gyoza combo. For $6.25, you get the staples (chicken, white rice, and classic lettuce salad) plus 5 piece Gyoza. Their sauce is good and thick, though they didn't include any in the to-go order (there was a small container of a salty sauce that was a cross between teriyaki and soy). My order was a bit thin on sauce for my taste (just a trickle reached the rice). The rice was a bit under cooked, but well within the range of acceptability. Both fountain and canned/bottled beverages are available. Parking can be an issue, especially in the evenings. There is limited seating for about 20 inside. Reading material includes local real estate and rental guides, and the Little Nickel. Loyalty program is a free dish after 12 meal purchases. Overall, I enjoy this location. The presentation was beautiful, even for a To Go order. The food was "Meh". We had the beef/chicken/shrimp skewers. The meat was cheap. Its a cheap place to eat, so I don't expect flank - but this was like when I decide to use stew meat to make Chinese or fajitas - the meat was tough, and flavorless. It relied too much on the sauce to carry it. The shrimp was way too salty - like it was stored in salt water. We won't be back. read more
