Location is convenient, just off Idaho Street in Elko, but parking was easy. Inside of the restaurant is clean and stylish, and very welcoming, as were all of the waitresses. Service was exceptionally fast and friendly, the coffee was fresh and hot. They technically don't have a traditional breakfast type plate on the menu, most of their items seem to be more like breakfast sandwiches or wraps, but the waitress was quick to let me know that they would be happy to make a normal breakfast plate. It's hard to pick a favorite part because both the breakfast potatoes and the raspberry jam we're probably the best I've ever had. I expected the jam to come out in the usual disposable plastic tub, but instead it came out and appeared to be homemade. If they sold it I would have bought some of that on the side to go. Potatoes had just the right amount of savory crunch on the outside, but were soft and creamy on the inside. When I lived in the area before I felt like there never were any great breakfast options in Elko, but I can definitely say that this place will not disappoint. I'll be back for sure!

I opted for a side of the country potatoes with my omelet, and was disappointed when they came out covered in bacon and cheese, as nowhere on the menu did it say they came with bacon and cheese. Just a small inconvenience, and it won't change the fact that this is our new go-to breakfast spot when we pass through again in the future.

The hostess sat us in a separate room from the main dining room. It was hit brightly by the sun and felt like a second thought of leftover dining. Asked if we could sit in main dining room and she obliged. We asked about the menu and took time to review it. After some time we ordered. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and I ordered the PASTA MILANO which is described as: Chicken, Tomatoes, Mushrooms in a Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce over Penne Pasta. Sounds good right? It could have been good. But it was not. First of all, I never got chicken in the dish. The mushrooms were diced and very few in the dish. The only thing they got right was the tomatoes. I called the waitress over and told her that my dish had no chicken in it. She said well do you want some? I smiled and said well that's what the dish was supposed to come with. So I waited. Then I decided to go ahead and start eating my food because seven minutes went by and I still have no chicken. When the dish was originally served,, I asked the waitress for Parmesan cheese. She said we don't have Parmesan cheese, but we have black pepper. Huh???? of course you have Parmesan cheese. I have it on my Caesar salad. I really don't think she knew what Parmesan cheese was. I just shrugged my shoulders and took a bite of my food. Again, great concept. But the food had NO flavor. I added salt and pepper. Still nothing. But to make me wait until my dishes is half gone and then bring over a plate of chicken is a poor decision. The chicken fettuccine had a good flavor. But the chicken was tough. Hard to chew. Not good flavor. I ordered a n/a Heineken. She brought it in a glass to the table. It was already poured so I don't know if I truly got what I ordered. Also the glass was too large for the amount of beer that was in it. Makes it look like it was half a drink. The waitress was kind, but we did not see much of her. She never offered to refill our bread basket. According to the menu, you get two baskets of bread and then if you want more you have to pay. We only got one basket of bread and never offered anymore. I was looking forward to some good pasta, and this restaurant did not deliver. Very disappointed in the service, and most definitely the food. The waitress took five dollars off of our meal, but she never explained why she did it or why she decided to take that amount of money. She never apologized for my dish, not having any protein, she never apologized for any thing. Management needs to teach staff that they can take ownership of the situation. It is OK to say you are sorry that the chicken was not put in your dish. Let's see what we can do to make it right. That would have gone so far. We ordered pasta, but it was of very poor quality--it had an unpleasant smell and was not enjoyable to eat. We ended up leaving most of our food untouched. What was even more disappointing was that no one asked why we had barely eaten our meal or whether there was anything they could do to make it right. At the end of the meal, the server simply tossed our credit card onto the table, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Good service earns good tips, but with the combination of poor food quality and discourteous service, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and customer service.

The regular crust was also good and I was surprised to see gluten-free crust was also available here. The service and food were top tier and I'd gladly return. My review today is not good because the check-out clerk was rude and it's the second time she's been rude to me. She had really short dark brown hair and wears glasses. This would have been around 9:15 or 9:20 when I checked out. My receipt says Tam is the name but I didn't get a look at her name tag. I really don't like giving bad reviews especially when the store always looks clean and I can usually find what I need but I think the rudeness needs to be addressed. Hopefully a supervisor can have a conversation with the worker.

The disappointment was the price. We used to eat at Taco Time for less than $10 per person. Now the prices have increased to exceed the $10 meal if you get the combo meal and upsize the side and drink. Place is old but extremely well taken care of and clean. I used the restroom (spotless) and there was a hand dryer in there made before the first motorized vehicle. But it worked and it was clean. Always nice to have clean bathrooms when traveling. Food was fresh, hot, and good. Prices are high but guess what? Everyone's prices are high now. I had to sign over a kidney for my meat burrito but the wife's bean burritos are still relatively cheap. Fountain drinks and fresh brewed tea. Solid choices.
