It's okay. Nothing spectacular but nothing terrible. Order counter right across from the entrance, but no greetings from the employee standing there looking at you when you walk in the door. There wasn't a single other customer in sight when we arrived. Ordered two large bowls, one teriyaki and one spicy. Food came out quick and hot, so that's a plus. Don't expect the chicken and vegetables to cover the rice like their advertisement....seems like you just get more rice when you get a larger bowl. A lot of rice. I personally think the teriyaki chicken you find inside mall food courts are better - cheaper and tastier. My daughter agrees.

Love the extra touch of the message that this table has been santized clean!

We were out looking for a quick bite to eat when we stumbled upon Teriyaki Madness. It seemed like a healthier option given the other choices, so we decided to stop in. What I liked was that there was a build your own bowl option. I ordered all veggies with white rice. You can also choose brown rice, fried rice or noodles. For proteins, you can choose from chicken, beef or tofu. Our order was pretty quick which was great because we were meeting friends and didn't have a lot of time. They did forget my white rice, but this was quickly remedied by going back up to the counter. My only disappointment was I thought the meal would be cooked fresh but it was not. This could have been because they were closing in 30 minutes. I do want to visit a second and try this place again.

We ordered the teriyaki bowl and two egg rolls. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! The egg rolls didn't make it home with us as we devoured them in the car. Will return to try the salmon.

I am happy I found this place. I was actually going to a nearby restaurant when I found this gem. I came back the next day. The food is prepared to order and was very fresh. I will definitely add this into my rotation. The spicy chicken was amazing!

We were not sure what to expect. I was hoping for one of those build-your-own stir fry type places, remember Genghis Grill. One friend thought it would be a Japanese steakhouse where the cooks provides some entertainment. And with "Asian Fusion" in the description someone else thought is might be some modern twist on tradition Asian dishes. Well, expectations crushed. Turns out to be closer to Chinese fast food. Counter service, and self-service drink station. You select from a short list of proteins. Examples are Teriyaki Chicken, Spicy Chicken and Salmon. Next you can choose rice (white, brown, fried) or noodles and they cook your "bowl" to order. I ordered the Spicy Chicken. It wasn't bad, but nothing to get excited about. Some positive were the regular size bowl is a lot of food. And, the food is served in plastic to-go bowl with tops so it is easy to take home leftovers. The chicken potstickers were pretty pedestrian. Probably mass produced and frozen. Ours were also overcooked.

I have been anticipating the opening of this place for a while. Got a text message tHat the grand opening was 1/10/2020, but I could not make it due to work meetings and other things happening. I finally decided to try it today. I opened the mobile app and placed an order there. There were 9 different bowls to choose from, 5 different "noodle bowls", 14 side items, and drinks. (The reason for the quotes around noodle bowls is that it looks like there is an option to replace the rice in the regular bowl with noodles for $1.00 extra, so I was not sure why these other bowls were separate. Just looked at the menu and these bowls are Yakisoba noodle bowls, and they cost more.) I ended up choosing a Junior Spicy Orange Chicken Bowll combo. I chose brown rice, and the combo comes with a salad (either green salad or macaroni salad) and drink. My order was almost ready when I arrived for pickup. I got my drink, and waited another minute before they brought it out to me. I brought it back to the office and dug in. The green salad was iceberg lettuce and julienne carrots, with a sweet Asian vinaigrette. I usually like my salad heartier, but this was refreshing and crisp. Really tasty! The orange chicken was spicy like I requested, but the spice was not too overpowering. I thought it was delicious. I definitely will be back, and plan to sit in the restaurant next time to enjoy.

Ordered Teriyaki Madness tonight to go. This was my first visit so I kept an open mind that I was getting take out and it might not be as good as dine in. I was pleasantly surprised! I got an all veggie bowl with teriyaki beef, spicy. Just enough spice that it wasn't "hot" but did open the sinuses. Veggies were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Beef had an excellent flavor. I ordered a medium bowl and it was plenty to fill my appetite. My co-workers saw my ordered and ended up ordering a group order later that night. Every one loves their order. This will be a go too take out place in the futu

Only been open a couple of months, Teriyaki Madness is located in Hoover off 31 in shopping complex with Tazikis and 5 Guys Burgers. They get 5 stars for conveying a "fun" atmosphere. The dining room is decorated with large bright colored photos accompanied with humorous phrases. Their choice of colors and design reminded me of Panda Express. Directly in front when you enter is the order counter. To the left is their self service drink station. The remainder of the dining room had ample spaces to sit and relax. I say relax because they had some unique lower tables with what almost looked like couches. And they also had higher tables with tall chairs. Their menu is rather small and simple. You have a limited amount of proteins including chicken, beef and salmon. After that you choose rice or noodles and then veggies. Their sizes of small, regular or large are very generous when it comes to the regular. It didn't look like a large container, but it held a lot of food. I can only imagine how much you get with the large. I tried the Teriyaki Salmon with noodles. I didn't have a lot of teriyaki sauce drizzled on my salmon, but that's ok because there's a rather large bottle of it at your table so in a way I'm glad they were easy on it so I can choose how much to add. The veggies were fresh and the egg noodles were plentiful. The cook on the salmon was adequate, but a little on the dry side. We also got some edamame and pot stickers. You get a small "box" of the steamed edamame which were quite tasty. The 6 potstickers you get were served with a tiny little container of sauce. You can ask for more I'm sure. The potstickers tasted ok but they weren't as "fresh" as I would've liked. Tammy and Paul tried the Spicy Chicken. The cook on the chicken was good and tasted ok. The 5 of us had an enjoyable meal. They have a couple of tvs for casual entertainment and overall they have a pleasant dining room. I would not be opposed to returning to trying their beef teriyaki with rice the next time I'm in the area.

Teriyaki Madness is just okay to me. Not bad but not outstanding either. It's average Asian fast food at an okay price.

I had been meaning to try this place for awhile and glad I finally came in to check them out. Upon entry, lunch time, they weren't too crowded. Everyone that came in only had a short wait (if any) to place an order. I kind of messed up on my order (so no deduct - that ones on me). I went with the steak teriyaki bowl with Fried Rice. Somewhere along the way I said no veggies .... to bad they looked really good in the pics they have on the walls. Took about 10 minutes for my food to come out and it was super hot and fresh. Asked them if they could spice it up some in the kitchen and she said they could. It had just the right touch of heat and the flavor on the beef was really good. I like that they had extra teriyaki sauce at the table so you could add more if you want. Also, the teriyaki sauce is made in house. Really enjoyed my meal, atmosphere is casual laid back. Clean restaurant that has plenty of space for social distancing. I'd probably try the spicy chicken lunch combo next time (comes with drink and egg roll for about $10). Great place... you should try them out.

Spicy chicken with veggies! SO GOOD I HAD TO ORDER IT TWICE!!!

And of course they had me at poke bowls. It's one of my top 5 things to eat, honestly. But I ordered a Buddha bowl because it's almost the same thing and I felt a little lazy to DIY (not to mention, the Buddha bowl looked tantalizing!) They have other veg options, but I set my sights on that bowl as soon as the friendly counter guy suggested it. It's overloaded with goodness--avocado, deliciously marinated tofu, edamame (yes, it's a protein-rich bowl), tomatoes, shredded carrots, diced cucumbers, greens and more. You're literally devouring the rainbow here, friends. For drinks, they have a modest but decent selection of beer, wine (a decent bubbly in a can!) and sake in addition to soft drinks. The place is so beautiful (and spotlessly clean) with plants dangling from the ceiling and beautiful murals throughout. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be here all the time.

The service is *excellent* with a capital "E." We ate at the bar, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about every single aspect of the restaurant. They have tried everything on the menu themselves. They can describe any one of the imported liquors up on the wall. These are real deal professionals who illustrate just how important the people in a restaurant's front truly are. The food? Delicious. It's a wild grab bag of East Asian fare - Chinese, Japanese, Thai - and it's all done extremely well. The portions are small, which is good, since you'll want to try half a dozen things on Current's very deliberately thought-out menu. The Peking Duck is some of the best I've had. The cocktails are also excellent, with my favorite being a delicious, earthy combination of coconut, lime, and pandan. It's like an extremely upscale tiki drink. I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely perfect. 5 stars.

High ceilings and exposed brick are a few of the ways to my heart. If you've seen a post about this place, you've probably seen a picture of the crackly round, artistic dish and wondered what it was. There are dumplings on the underside of it and you break each one off of the crackly part to enjoy. We did enjoy these but I would've loved a soy sauce to dip them in. They came with chili crunch, peanuts, and green onions but I wanted an actual sauce. They were very standard tasting dumplings and there was nothing extraordinary about them unfortunately. As always, we'd looked at the menu beforehand and decided what we wanted. It does state on their website that their menus can change due to freshness and availability. But we'd both decided on an app and entree we wanted only to get there and have none of them on the menu. I do appreciate a rotating menu to accommodate local items, but I would also love for those to be updated on a regular basis. So after rerouting, we decided on the chicken skewers as another app with the dumplings. These were chargrilled, flavorful, and had a nice crust on them. I got shrimp fried rice and Julia got spicy beef noodles. It was fine but I wish the shrimp wouldn't have been cut up. It felt like they chopped them up in order to not put as many in the dish. At $25 for this, I'd like whole shrimp please. There were a few pieces of raw spinach with pepper on the top. I would've loved a sauce of some kind. I would've preferred shrimp hibachi with fried rice from a Japanese place that included vegetables and sauces. This was not *bad* there was just SO much room for improvement. We both agreed that nothing was awful, but for these prices and the hype, we expected more. Our waitress was super friendly. Bonus points because they had match boxes at the host stand! There was a paid parking lot diagonal from the restaurant, so we had to walk through an intersection to get there. There are some spots up front if you can snag one. Overall, we enjoyed our time here but won't be sprinting back.

My drink order was taken (water) and my server, who answered all of my questions, was very patient and pleasant. For my appetizer, I ordered the spring rolls. They were freshly made and came out hot and crispy. I enjoyed them and would order them again. Now the main course. I opted for the spicy Himalayan chicken, medium heat. I love spicy food, and I thought I was doing the right thing by ordering the medium level. However, it was very spicy! I did notice however, that the longer it sat, the level evened out some. Still, on my next visit, I will try the mild level to compare. The dish was delicious and very flavorful. The white rice added just the right amount of coolness to the chicken and veggies. Upon leaving, I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken in mild. I'm not sure if it's because it's a totally different flavor profile, but the mild has very little spicy. I just can't believe it's that much difference between the mild and medium levels. The drunken noodles were just okay, in my opinion. There was not a lot of juice, spice not flavor in this dish. On my next visit, I will stick with the Himalayan chicken and order it in mild just to test out my theory. The workers were very friendly and came by to check on me and made small talk with all of their customers, including me. I enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning again
