I'm going to give it to you straight--as always. This joint hasn't been open long but the demand is high! And there is a reason for that. It's called Teriyaki Madness--the thing people love but it's rarely brought up in conversation (Teriyaki, not madness). How often do you hear someone say, "Hey! Don't you love Teriyaki Chicken?" Does this happen at church? On a phone call? On the train? With the Uber driver? The answer is no. But we all love Teriyaki! At least 97.3% of us. I have only ordered the Chicken Teriyaki with Noodles (a little extra on pricing). The Chicken Teriyaki was great! The noodles were good but only because they somehow vibed with the Chicken. To put this in perspective, the Chicken Teriyaki was like MJ and the noodles were like Pippen. I'll try the Steak with Rice next time. Tbh, the prices are a little high, but I did order the noodles on the junior size to sample so not the best value, and the noodles cost extra. In other words, you don't want Chicken with Pippen. You want Chicken or Steak with Rice. Disclaimer: No offense to Scottie Pippen. He played a huge role in their championships. Overall, Teriyaki Madness is called Teriyaki Madness for a reason. If the noodles were great, it would be called Noodle Factory or Noodletasia or Wadoodle My Noodle. It's a when-in-Rome kind of thing. Never been to Rome but you know what I mean. If not, you can Google it. And the staff is great. They are not rude at all. A few of them might be shy but just be kind and they will open up. The staff is actually great. Recommended! read more

been past here dozens of times thinking the last thing we need is another rendition of instant asian fusion... surprise!! it looks like somebody actually gets teriyaki! for the nikkeijin Teriyaki Madness is the cultural equivalent of Lexington BBQ or an NYC-pizza joint; the take-out version of what home cooking was when obaa was cooking at home. not exactly japanese food but american foods prepared for the japan-ish palate: well seasoned moisty chickens (or beefs, or veggies) plus plenty of cabbagey goodness on a pile of white rice just like God intended. in my mother's house we had petite makis on the side instead of crispy egg roll but these are a fair trade :-) ample portions, efficient service, friendly staff, and they've got fork-chops! they're like chop sticks on one end and a fork on the other, better than a spork because, well, you know... "sticks" and way more orientaller. if only we could manage to get hold of an Orion... read more

Love this place and it's my go to once a week! Love the teriyaki chicken and orange chicken combo.

Have given this place a few tries now. Chicken is bland and terrible texture every time with little to no flavor. Chicken bowl is mostly bland, steamed cabbage and hard veggies. The little chicken that you get is usually greasy and grissly. Tried noodles and as others said, bland and greasy. Service is always friendly. But this food needs work. read more

Underwhelming food & high prices. I've tried this place a couple of times & both times, disappointing. The actual teriyaki chicken is blah. The orange chicken is pretty good tasting, but the pieces are completely ununiform in size. The biggest issue I have though is the ratio of meat to rice/veggies, which is at best 1:3. And if you want a more even ratio, you have to pay extra. Also, I don't like how you can't split the side , like 1/2 rice 1/2 noodles but have to pay extra for a side of noodles. The employee taking my order was adamant about that. The noodles are sad -no mixed veggies cooked with it and came with a noticable big layer of grease at the bottom of the container. I would like to support this place, but they really gotta up their food quality & game. read more

The food is so yummy and tasty! Although a fast food restaurant, the quality is great. Staff is very friendly. Portions were ample and I loved how they had edamame as a side option for the combo. Ordered two chicken teriyaki bowls with crab Rangoons that looked like some empanadas that was extremely disappointing despite the fact that this one of my favorite asian quick service restaurant chains. The teriyaki chicken was definitely missing the flavor and didn't resemble what it looked like on the app or advertised on the menu. The staff was pleasant and decor is clean but the food service definitely needs some work compared to the sister store in the south end of Charlotte. Im not sure if the cooking staff is aware since they only been open a couple of months but its not up to the standards that we expected. read more

Very disappointed!! I had the large veggie bowl and the veggies were only cabbage and 2 small broccoli heads. It was also very watery. Front counter staff is nice. Staff in the back look like they hate their job. Food is blah. For $11, I got a small scoop of sticky white rice and 6-7 small pieces of orange chicken. Chickfila definitely has 4 nuggets that are bigger than my total bowl. It's nothing special for sure which was a let down. Overall, should have gone somewhere or even home for lunch. We've gone here twice now. The first time the steak was excellent and the chicken was just fine. The veggies were cooked perfect. The second time we went the steak was way over cooked to where it tasted like beef jerky, but the chicken was great. The veggies were pretty crunchy for our liking. Crab Rangoon and pot stickers were good but not great. We liked both the fried rice and the noodles. Will give it another shot in a few months when they've had more time to work out quality control issues. Good potential and good flavors overall. read more
