I am a huge teriyaki snob! I have been cooking teriyaki beef and chicken at home for more than a decade. (You might even say I have "Teriyaki Madness" myself!) Finally I have found a place to go where they share my passion for the best Asian-inspired sauce ever to grace protein. I've had this restaurant on my list of places to visit for months now, and I finally made the 25+ mile trip from my home to try it. Boy was it worth it! I ordered a two-protein bowl ($13) so I could try chicken and steak. They were both amazing. The veggies were cooked perfectly and not over portioned compared to the gratuitous portions of meat. The rice bowl was perfectly steamed (not soggy) and was a great finale to a huge meal. My kids who are both aspiring food snobs (really they're just VERY picky eaters) also loved it. Their only complaint was the small size of the establishment. And, it's a fair critique. I can imagine this place gets packed at lunch hour. The orange chicken is amazing! Way better than panda! The teriyaki chicken is also still just as amazing as I remember. Definitely get extra sauce though. The orange chicken is so good I was literally eating the leftovers cold straight from the fridge. Food was worse than any other teriyaki madness I've been to. Got two meals (one for me and one for hubby). My noodles were sitting in a pile of liquid, steak wasn't cut through and was very fatty. I threw about half away and picked all the meat out of it. In the other meal, the veggies were just a soggy mess. Tofu wasn't crispy and the fried rice was gloopy. We tried this place for the first time today after hearing our friends rave about it for over a year. I had the spicy chicken bowl and my husband had the spicy orange chicken bowl. Both were very delicious. My favorite was the spicy orange chicken. We had them both with fried rice. The fried rice was perfect and the stir fry veggies were great. I loved that the veggies were still a little crunch and not overcooked. The serving size was perfect as well. We got take-out this time but we plan to come inside and eat soon! Had to go back in. He did apologize for leaving this out. The chicken and rice were good and flavorful. I did receive one sauce, but I would recommend asking for a second. After a few more visits, the quality just hasn't been up to par. Both the chicken breast and the spicy version have been on the dry side and too chewy. Not the juicy, tender chicken you would expect as "fresh, never frozen". Texture is more like precooked then reheated. And too much rice to chicken ratio. In fact I'm done with the rice here. If I do ever return, I'm trying their yakisoba noodles instead. Their fried rice is especially disappointing, completely bland with barely a "fried" anything in it. White rice overcooked and nearing mushy. Vegetables on side unseasoned. Even the sauce has bothered me some lately. A simple, one-note sauce, with no depth, tastes like watered down molasses. I add a soy sauce packet just to give it some pop. Sauce is also thinner than some and hard to control and portion. Besides the food, dining room is painfully red but usually clean. Food prep time has been taking longer recently. I still dream of my old Teriyaki Stix spot in college. I have yet to find one that lives up to it. read more

They have Bowls and Plates, you have the choice of; chicken (breast or thigh), beef or tofu, brown or white rice, noodles and veggies. They also have children meals that include a fountain drink. Let's be honest. For this type of establishment which is which is quick service, don't expect the best of everything. This is usually a slower place, so the food usually comes quick. I went to a soft opening and the first 100 people received free entrees! I ordered a bowl, there is a larger plate size as well. I ordered the teriyaki chicken breast, the original teriyaki entree is made with dark meat. The breast was grilled and tender and the sauce was quite sweet and had a sticky good quality to it. With it, I ordered the Yakisoba noodles and veggies. The veggies were cooked to perfection with a crisp bite. They have options of forks, chopsticks or these cute fork/chopsticks (intended for kids), but oh so cute for anyone! This place is quite small, only a handful of tables, so would be a good go to for lunch for the office or to go. I took mine Togo and live about 10 minutes away, my food was still piping hot! Overall, the manager happily answered all my food questions and did so with a smile! The employees are still learning, but they were very friendly and even though it was busy, they didn't t make you feel rushed. You can tell they have had some great training. I really want to like this place more than I do because it's right around the corner from my house and is a different concept in the crowded fast casual market. The first time I tried it, it was soon after opening and while the service was good, the food was kind of bland and boring. Fast forward a few months and we needed a quick lunch, so we decided to give it another try and see if anything had changed. Unfortunately, my second visit was more disappointing than the first. I ordered the spicy chicken over brown rice and included all the veggies. There was no flavor or seasoning to the veggies, so they felt like a waste. The only flavor to the dish was the spicy chicken, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the lack of flavor in the rest of the dish. About halfway through the dish, I decided to add some soy sauce, which amped up the flavor, but then I was just eating a soy sauce flavored dish and there's nothing special about that. They answered any questions we had about the menu items before we went to order. You pick various menu items to start your bowl. They have bowls and plates. (Small or larger portions). Step 1 is picking your protein. They have chicken teriyaki, chicken breast teriyaki, spicy chicken, chicken katsu, orange chicken, beef teriyaki, or tofu teriyaki. Step 2, you customize your bowl with white rice, brown rice, fried rice, noodles, or all veggies. Step 3 you add stir-fry veggies or if you get a plate macaroni salad or green salad. They do have other options like smaller kids meals and larger noodle bowls. They also serve a few different appetizers such as chicken egg roll, chicken potstickers, crab rangoon, and edamame. They serve Pepsi products and bottle water for drinks. Today I ordered the spicy chicken plate with noodles & macaroni salad. I also ordered one of their starters the crab rangoon. I took my order to go since it was pretty packed today but once I got back to the office I was very happy with the food. I made sure to get the teriyaki sauce to go (this is a must) to pour on my noodles. The noodles were dry but I was told that you add the sauce to your liking. The sauce is already on the table in the restaurant and they have sauce in containers ready for to go customers. With the sauce the noodles tasted great. The chicken was cooked just right and the mix of the noodles and chicken hit the spot. The crab rangoon was crunchy on the outside and creamy and the inside. It was not overcooked it was perfect. Having lived near Seattle for 15 years and being introduced to fantastic teriyaki there, I was anxious to try this new place out. I have missed good teriyaki in the past twelve years. Tried many places in many cities and towns, but they always fall short. Ordered the two protein plate of chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. Added the yakisoba noodles and veggies. This food is very close to what I used to eat in Seattle. Freshly grilled chicken, with good sauces. The noodles were cooked right and the veggies were done just perfect-not too crisp but also not soggy. I think they have found a great combination here.
