First time in and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken Lo Mein very spicy and it was really good and not super spicy but got my nose running. We also shared a California roll, well made and delicious. My lunch partner had the chicken fried rice, also delicious, I wish there was a little more sauce to flavor the rice. I'm baffled as to why I haven't reviewed Nhinja when it's our go to staple whenever we're happy or just want to get out the house and away from cooking. We also head here when in need of a celebration of some kind. We love this place so much we even stopped here for lunch after we got hitched down at the City Hall. Lots of fond memories here because of that :) But, hey, don't expect Nhinja to be a "sushi" bar kind of place. It is an affordable "fast food sushi" eatery. We've sworn allegiance to the beef lomein and the samurai roll and to also never fight over them, we'll just order a second one if we're still not satiated. Generally though, a lomein and two rolls stuff us to the gills every time as their portions are generous. But what can I say about the lomein, it just glistens with savoury goodness with the most perfect umaminess every single time we order it. Their flavour is highly consistent and that's what we love about this place. There's never been a queue here so you're always served promptly, with the food brought out pretty quickly to your table, but that doesn't mean there place is quiet. There is always traffic going in and out. Staff are always cheerful. And the fact that you can see wok action happening in their kitchen adds to the fun of the place. I had a super craving for sushi. Unfortunately, it hit in Yukon, and after the decent place was closed. Sigh. So, I went to this location at around 3pm. I figured the OKC location had fair reviews, so this should be great. I figured wrong. First impression: I walk in and thought the place was closed. No greeting, no staff walking around, nothing. The layout is odd; you have to walk around a wall to even see the place to order. I go up to the counter and start looking at the menu. Still, no greeting, although a staff member came up to the counter. Rough start already. I'm perusing the menu, and I was shocked at how little there was for sushi. So, I decided on a California roll, spicy, with a side of eel sauce. I figure I'll just mix some flavors and make it pretty good. I was impressed by the soda machine (which was the only aspect of this visit I did like), which offered real sugar sodas. Woohoo, real root beer! I sit at the table and glance around. Sports on all the TVs, which is fine, but the restaurant in whole is in desperate need of repair. Paint chipping, seats cracked, you name it. I think this place caters to carryout, to be honest. My rolls come fast. Like, way too fast. Hey, I like quick food as much as the rest, but not sushi in maybe 2 minutes?? Hmmm, not cool. The rolls...oh those poor, pitiful rolls. To make my cali roll spicy, they just drizzled spicy mayo on top. Ok, not ideal, but workable. I pick up the first piece; it falls apart. The second stayed together pretty well. However, the taste was not good. First off, it honestly tasted previously rolled. The rice was dry and cold, which it shouldn't be. Also, the serious lack of crab, and everything just as bland as can be. The spicy mayo was decent, but that's literally all you could taste. The avocado was decent in some pieces and mush in others. The cucumber still had the skin, which made it, well, snappy. I was so disappointed today. Instead of decent sushi, I would have been better off grabbing store-bought sushi at Walmart. For cheap, fast sushi, it's pretty good. Customer service Barrie's by location. I've found that more often than not, something in our order is missing or messed up. I've once had to return to a location two times to get my food order corrected after receiving someone else's order, and then not receiving my complete order upon return. Not the best sushi I have had but the WOC menu items were tasty! I dint think they have any fried sushi rolls but they do offer a cooked and fresh option. I picked the crispy honey chicken with white rice. The breaded chicken was crispy and it was sauced perfectly. It was the star of the show! We ate in the restaurant so the freshness was on point. The white rice was a basic white rice I will say that was not a sticky white rice. My hubby had the same crispy chicken with lo mein. The noodles were yummy with good flavor. We also ordered a firefly and firecracker roll. Again , not the best I've had but both were okay. I had to add some spicy mayo to it for extra flavor! Drinks are ordered separate they are not included. Total dinner was $42. Not bad. We came on a Monday so the restaurant was slow and quiet. You can take your order on a kiosk or with a cashier. We opted for the cashier and probably should have went to the kiosk. He wasn't rude or anything just not a friendly person lol. All food items came out quickly which was a plus! The same cashier brought our food to our table and we thought he brought the wrong sushi rolls. We asked and he said oh I don't know I don't remember. We gave him our order and he still said I don't know. So we left it alone. We'll definitely come back bc the food was pretty good. read more

I ordered the Cowboy Roll and I received a tempura roll which is fine, no big fuss. I've worked in food before and I know the struggle of going through a rush. I walked to the counter and asked if i could get my cowboy roll that i ordered. The employee who was helping me was very kind and offered to grab her manager to help. As the manager approached, I noticed a strong smell of marijuana (which is fine, i also indulge in cannabis occasionally lol but others may not think the same as i do) but what had bothered me was the lack of customer support. I understood that they were busy at the time but it was no excuse for how i was treated. She told me that that was i ordered and i wasn't going to get a refund. I never asked for a refund. I then showed her my receipt for the cowboy roll next to the tempura roll and she just sighed and rolled her eyes, asked one of the other employees to make it, and stormed off to the back. I wasn't sure what i did wrong as i thought i was kind. After a while she came back in and kept flashing me dirty looks. Maybe i'm thinking about it too much but it was quite unsettling. Maybe about a month later i return because i'm not going to hold a grudge, (she may just had been having a bad day) and i order my cowboy roll as usual. While i do receive my cowboy roll on the first try, as i'm looking over from my booth i watch the manager sneeze(in the direction of the food), wipe her nose on her sleeve and then continuing handling the customers food without washing her hands. I don't think I'll return to this location again. If there's one thing i won't tolerate, it's germs. I felt sick and threw the rest of my food away. after looking at other reviews, i realized that this wasn't uncommon and others have also witnessed similar things. I honestly feel sick just thinking about it. That is extremely hazardous especially in this cold weather with all of this sickness spreading around. I will be warning others of this location and i will not be returning until it's fixed or under new management. thank you for your time in reading this. The food here is AMAZING. I really like their lo mein (it has so much) and also the thunder and geisha sushi rolls. The service is great. They do get pretty busy but the workers try their best and they're always nice. I had an item missing once when I ordered food to go but the workers and manager took the time to fix the problem and I appreciate that from them and for being so nice. The ambiance is great. The lowest effort sushi I've ever come across. It's served in gas station roller grill tubs, the pieces literally hold on to each other for dear life as you try and grab one because the rice is prepared to a gummy consistency. It's fast food sushi without a drive thru window. When you want sushi but don't have the time or cash for a sit down restaurant but have higher standards than the cold display at Sprouts. Cheap sushi places are one of my favs because you get your fish fix and don't have to spend and arm and a leg for food. The rice balls were actually my least favorites out of what I ordered. They were supposed to have salmon inside but I barely had any salmon. The rolls I ordered were the nhinja, catch and one more. I recently moved out to the burbs, and went to grab some quick sushi. Nhinja is the fast food of sushi, so I wasn't prepared for the long wait. At the okc location, most people just eat the sushi. I guess out here people go for the stir fry dishes. Because there were so many families getting take out entrees, it took forever to get two rolls. I ordered the samurai roll and a California roll. The samurai was topped with eel. I'm not sure what was up with the eel, but something seemed weird about it. Update: I tried out Nhinja again more recently to see if my one time experience was a fluke. It was not. This time, I went with the California roll and a dynamite roll. My boyfriend got the Hunan Garden Beef. He ended up getting sick later that night. I just ended up eating the California roll because the tuna on the dynamite roll had a weird taste. I'm not sure why the location in Yukon has such poor quality of fish and the one in OKC is fine. read more

We love this place! My son loves the kids fried rice with beef. It's so clean and modern

I love this place! It's family-owned; the food is delicious; the menu is diverse; the atmosphere is pleasant and hip; the staff is friendly and helpful; and the prices are great! My wife and I come here about once a week to get their wok'd tofu, but it never gets old because they have so many different sauces from which to choose. As the weather cools, I'll incorporate more miso soup to stay warm. I'm not a sushi kind of guy, so I can't comment on that. But everything else here has been great! The only negatives that I can cite--because this wouldn't be an honest review unless I gave the good and the bad--are related to vehicle use. The parking is in high demand and low supply, and it can be a little tight and difficult to maneuver in and out at times, depending upon the size and turn radius of your vehicle. And don't even think about turning left out of the parking lot. But those are more problems with our car-centric development than Nhinja. All in all, this place is one of my favorites. read more

I always love coming here. My family cant seem to get enough of it. Everyone here is always so nice and helpful. I have never had any issues with getting incorrect items and the food always comes out top notch. The only issue I have it that they can give you a bit too much to eat if you don't know the portions. like the tuna sashimi for instance, at any other sushi place it would be three to five 2 inch long strips, but here the tuna sashimi is like six 4 inch long 1/4 in thick strips that would be too big even for nigiri. Am I mad? No, of course not, I love sashimi! I may have to take bites off the sushi to not get too much of a mouthful but hey that just means more for me. Though for $10 I would say literally half the amount of sashimi would be optimal. Smaller, easier to eat bites would make for a better experience and not fill you up too quickly so you can also order more. If folks really want that much sashimi, like I do just smaller bites, then offering a $16 nine piece (2 inch long pieces) option would be close enough to the same bulk weight, if not probably less, as what is currently offered but in easier to eat pieces. That ends my rant on wanting to pay more for sashimi. Finally, Koral, the manager there, is wonderful she is always a joy to see, so kind and helpful. hopefully she sticks around for a long time. and when she gets promoted to some corporate role, because she deserves it, I hope we will still get to see her from time to time at the restaurant. read more

Not a big fan. Where I'm from Sushi comes all you can eat and the nigiri selection is vastly larger than this restaurant! The rolls were ok and but a bit pricey for what I got! I had the Geisha and Tempura rolls and I'm like 90% sure there was no shrimp in that tempura! All I got was tempura and rice and sauce :-( The restaurant was cute and clean and staff were well not attentive at all. The only person who spoke to us was the cashier. I wont be visiting this place again and I wont recommend! 3 stars is for cleanliness and the cuteness of the place! read more

I've tried Nhinja once before, but it was at a different location. I was hoping that it was that specific location that left me disappointed, but now I've realized that it's just Nhinja in general. I tried both the Geisha and the Firecracker roll, and they were both very...meh. While the Firecracker roll was fine, the Geisha roll was a bit more disappointing. I know there's cream cheese in it, but that was all I could taste. Every once in a while, I'd taste a little bit of tempura from the shrimp, but nothing substantial. Though the food was pretty disappointing, the staff was very friendly. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, they were there to help! Unfortunately, I don't think I'm going to go back to Nhinja anytime soon. Their wok stuff seems to be decent based off of the other reviews, so I might give it one more shot sometime in the future. Don't bother with the sushi though, it's just not very good. read more

I've been craving sushi for a while now but the last few restaurants I've tried tasted like the same mediocre stuff you can get from a grocery store. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on food that would be sub par but atlas, my tastebuds won and I decided to try Nhinja since it is less than 5 minutes from my house. Best. Decision. Ever! Before I knew it, we annihilated $75 worth of food and were content and happy with very full bellies. I ordered spring rolls, egg rolls, egg drop soup, crispy honey chicken with noodles, sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice, chicken lo mein and for sushi, I ordered a California roll, firefly roll, Geisha roll, tempura roll and a Philly roll. I used the online ordering; it said about 25 minutes to prepare it and it was ready when I got there about 20 minutes later. I didn't know the sweet and sour shrimp came with the sauce on it. Each place does it differently and I would have preferred to be able to dip it in the sauce, but it was still delicious. I do wish there was a way to order the fried rice without egg an onion in it online but there are no modifications for that. I'm not sure if you can order it without that stuff if you call it in either. The crispy honey chicken was amazing but I will get it with fried rice next time. Turns out we don't like plain noodles, who knew? My sons said the spring and egg rolls were the best they have ever had and I have to agree with them. I almost didn't get one because they wanted more. The egg drop soup was thick and full of flavor. I'm not sure which sushi I liked the best, it was all so good! Even my oldest son whom normally doesn't like sushi ate some and enjoyed it. I think that the sushi was sliced slightly thinner than most places helped him like it more. I also like that the food wasn't too greasy or salty like a lot of other places. Nhinja just gained several new repeat customers. read more

50% of this "chicken" is breading. Its actually so much breading i can hardly eat it. Tastes awful. Also, my meal came with "honey chicken and rice", so i paid $2.50 extra for an additional side of lo mein. When order came there was no rice and I was told my $2.50 for side of lo mein substituted the rice... But if i bought them seperately they would have given me both a side of lo mein and my full meal. The king pao chicken was amazing. I am a huge pei wei and P.F. Chang's fan and I have to say it was just as good if not better than them. The gyoza was actually really good too. I've also had their honey chicken before which was good but the breading was thicker on that than on the king pao. Would definitely suggest Nhinja for their wok. Not sure about their sushi bc I am not a fan of sushi. read more
