Lunch with Jan at Fung's Kitchen. We have talked about going to Fung's Kitchen for years and just…read morenever made it happen until today. The building reminds me of an old Pizza Hut. The inside has been decorated with Asian appointments. The table spacing of four tops around the perimeter of the dining room is comfortable. The round tables in the center are graciously spaced. A couple of the round tables have large lazy susans to faciliate sharing family style dishes. Both the exterior and interior are uninspiring. The vibe is tired, but the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Their menu is grouped by offering and price. Lunch combination plates comes with a variety of set offerings. Lunch combination "A" ($10.95) comes with the Soup of the Day, an Egg Roll, Rice and crab ragoon. Then you select from another list of items such as sweet and sour pork to complte your order. We ordered from combination plate "B" ($11,95). It comes with soup of the day, rice, egg roll and fried shrimp. I then selected black peppered chicken. Jan went with brocoli beef and sweet and sour pork. It did take me a moment to figure out the menu. At first glance, the menu seemed convoluted and difficult. They offer combination plate "C" ($9.50) that is set with crab ragoon and rice. Then the lunch menu continues. We were both pleased. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. The dishes were tasteful, and the volume was more than adequate.

The shrimp in the rice was a little cold but it didn't detract from the meal. Service was agreeable and friendly. Although the interior is a little antiquated, the food was top tier. Looking forward to next visit.

Their food selection is impressive for the Online -- To Go Menu. At first, thought, the prices are…read morethe higher-end Market Rate, so I knew upfront that either they are actually very good for their menu prices to sustain it, or it's a clever Entrepreneurial approach for hitting the road running at fast pace. I looked at the reviews and everything told me they are as good as they claim, without being "Breaking The Bank Account." The online services are good. Ordered meals for a robust two person dinner for home, because we just wanted to eat at home after a long busy day at work. Nothing fancy, just a comfort meal in bed while watching a Rom-com Movie and enjoying our beautiful dinner. I for one absolutely LOVE Curry Chicken over white rice. The recipe and portions are perfect. So anything you order should be a "Home Run" meal from Grand China! I grew up being able to eat The Original "Jackson Street" San Francisco China Town Center Chinese Food Restaurants. History: San Francisco China Town is the original destination for Millions of Chinese Immigrants who came to America directly from China to work on The Trans-Continental Railroad in the early 19th Century. If you ever watched Bruce Lee's Movies, he shows you a lot about SF China Town's history. Point being, SF China Town set the food quality benchmark ever since they arrived to provide labor for the railroads buildup across America in the early 19th Century. Grand China exceeds that SF China Town Benchmark and you won't be disappointed. Good Day
