I called on the phone to place an order of spicy chicken and beef teriyaki. I showed up about 10 minutes later to the female behind the counter with a confused look on her face. The male employee also working had forgotten to write the order down. I have to explain what happened to someone who barely speaks English and then try and explain what I actually wanted to order, again. I get home and eat the food and she must've gotten the order wrong as it wasn't spicy, even though I was charged extra for it. In terms of the food itself... I'm not sure why there any good reviews of this place. The chicken and beef were both very dry, chewy, burned and overcooked, gristly and neither had any flavor to them at all. I am very picky when it comes to teriyaki, especially when it comes to the sauce and salad dressing because I like to drench my food in both. Decided to try this place out because it's super close to my house & was amazed by the food & how much of it you get. Next time I will be making sure they give me enough lettuce because I was a little disappointed on how little salad I got (there was maybe 7 pieces of lettuce). This is THE BEST teriyaki that I have had, aside from my mom's ;), If I am driving by I almost always give in and get some. This place is on my boyfriend's house road. Omg this is the worst teriyaki I've ever had. Very sad. I got the chicken breast( not spicy) and it was super salty, weirdly seasoned, and did not taste good. The chicken meat in the chicken and veggies was better, but everything was way too oily. We ordered (and paid for) brown rice, but got white rice. They never seem to disappoint. I drive all the way from Seattle for this teriyaki and I live 5 minutes away from the U District where there are tons of teriyaki joints, but nothing compares to this. If you are ever in the Everett area I 100% recommend you to try it. read more

I get the veggie fried rice every time. Good price, good food and MASSIVE portions. Like if I can manage to finish half, it still looks like I haven't made a dent. This is just a little restaurant on the shady side of an average looking strip mall, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The place was very clean and tidy, and the people working there were very friendly, and explained menu items clearly and patiently (I'm not well versed on Asian foods)! They had a large and varied menu for a small place, and offered their house chicken soup (egg drop soup?) as a complimentary appetizer for anyone waiting to pick up their meal--and the soup was so, so good!! Hot and very tasty, well seasoned, but not overdone, it warmed my insides and my mood! And then-- I tried what is the best beef teriyaki I've ever tasted!! I ordered mine with white rice. The beef was well-cooked, but not dry, and the sauce was amazing!! Sweet at one moment and a little tangy the next, a rich, lovely melange of deliciousness! The portion size is enough for two good meals for a fat girl who loves her food! It reheated fairly well in my little hotel-room microwave, and was better if I remembered to sprinkle the rice with a little water before reheating! Best teriyaki! We don't live close, but I make my husband stop on his way home from work once in awhile. We love their chicken and spicy pork. I like how its not too sweet and the meats aren't dry or charred. The portions are big and it's always consistent. The gyozas are yummy too. Wonderful owners and great food. read more

This is a typical teriyaki restaurant with a decent menu selection, nice dining area and okay prices. I had a teriyaki chicken meal and it was pretty good. The plus side is that you get a free drink with your meal, something I haven't seen at any other teriyaki place. And wait time isn't too long. We used to go there all the time when we lived close, but we just stopped and had really bad service. We had to wait for a big family to decide what they wanted while our food was sitting on the counter. Also, my wife got shrimp tempura which she has had in the past and it used to be good, but this time the batter was really chewy. I mean really really bad. We called to tell them what happened and the guy said that the water in the batter was probably off. He did not offer to replace it or give a refund. We will not be back. read more

Oh my goodness, I am so full and so happy! This place is as great as others have said. Very friendly and patient, as I was having trouble choosing from all the tasty offerings.
