I have used Terminix for over 15 years in four different states. I've always had reliable and friendly communication with my technicians and service people. Terminix has eradicated rats, mosquitoes, spiders and cockroaches in my homes as we moved from the north to the south and west coasts. It's not foolproof, but their system has always worked for us. I get phone calls before services and follow-up overviews afterwards. I've been very happy with them for a very long time, which is why I'm setting them up for our new home in Kailua. Today I worked with Tishown Cage, who was polite and answered all of my questions. She worked quickly, even though her computer was sluggish. She took her time to insure all of my information was correct and extended her assistance to help me reach out to the branch manager for further assistance. Thank you. read more

A Terminix inspector entered our property without our knowledge or permission. Terminix did not contact us in advance of this inspection so we had no way of knowing someone would be coming. We have video of him arriving, doing a partial inspection of the exterior of our house, and departing in the span of just 5 minutes. There is no possible way that he could have done a proper inspection of the full exterior of our house in this time span, especially given his obesity and resulting limited mobility. He then proceeded to falsify the customer signature block of the inspection report with the entry "customer home - no signature taken." To add insult to injury, our last name was also incorrectly spelled. This is completely unsatisfactory and reflects a total lack of integrity on the part of Terminix. We will find a different pest control company that does not have horrible customer service like Terminix does. read more

We scheduled a spraying for today at My parents's home. They have dementia and are not mobile. We had to be out of the home for several hours, so we rented a hotel room for the night, rather than Keeping them out all day and returning home late at night. When they didn't show up, my sister called them and asked for their ETA. She was told that they rescheduled and would get back to us with a time next week. My sister explained that this was unacceptable. However she was told that there was nothing that they could do about it. This is unacceptable! We had already paid for the hotel room and could not be refunded. My parents are old and it took a lot of coordination to pack them up for the hotel. My sister said that yesterday, they called to confirm the appointment. They showed no empathy for our situation and didn't even have the courtesy to call us and let us know they changed the appointment. read more

I read the other comments and thought I should put more of my input in.The inspector came to check my place and said that he was going to schedule a date that was soon. But he told me that I was going to be charged $2,116 for a one bedroom apartment. And not the whole place was sprayed. Some places weren't wet. I called and asked how a job could be done in 20 minutes. But got no response after leaving numerous messages. Not sure if the electrical outlets were sprayed either. There were still cobwebs on the outside. By the second and last spray on December 4, I questioned the technician if he sprays the outlets and he said yes. And he said if I don't see anything within the next 2 weeks it should be fine. So I opened all my bags of clothes and everything else I bagged up.I talked to someone who I think has some authority who told me very nonchalantly that if I see the bugs coming out of the outlets or anywhere that they can treat again. That doesn't make me feel so confident. How does that help my paranoia? I had to call a handy man to change my outlets and I need to caulk the holes in my walls and floors just to give me piece of mind. It was a hell of work to prepare for the spraying. And no one came to reinspect after the last treatment. My contract ends on February 18. But I'm not planning on packing and moving everything again soon. read more

No signs of forced entry, and mainly small jewlery stolen (for now, who knows what they're gonna do later, assholes). Absolutely terrible phone/customer service. You can never get ANYONE to answer the phone, any day, morning or afternoon. Unless you wait an extraordinary amount of time on their system (30-45 minutes) I've set up appointments To move stations and - no show- try call, no answer- on and on FOR DAYS...but you better believe that when it is getting close to renewal time. They will call you - repeatedly- 5 times in a week period to "advise my contract was expiring " please renew- all by different people! I'd like to speak to the "Kay Scott" that intros their voice message and leaves you hanging endlessly on their response to a customer. Pilau ! read more

My grandmother had Terminix for years. When she passed away a couple years ago I took over the contract since I was still living in her old house. I am not sure what they do for the service we pay. I was helping her with things around the house for about 7 years before she passed away. I noticed they would come out once a year for an inspection and that's it. Then every 15 years or so they want to tent your house, which is the most time consuming, longest process for the home owner. Everything needs to be bagged and sealed, things need to be unplugged and good luck finding a place to house your animals. They would come out if we saw droppings, but they never really ever found a source. So the dropping would come back. After a while you just kind of live with it. I was thinking about switching to a company that uses orange oil as an alternative to tenting for a while. Then Terminix helped me make that decision and it was an easy one. Almost a month before my annual payment was due I started getting weird phone calls from different numbers with our area code. I'm at work so I didn't answer. Sometimes there would be a recording about contacting them so they could help me with my payment. Every other day or so I would get a text with basically the same information. About 2 weeks in I get a paper bill showing my payment date was not for another 2 weeks. I cannot understand why they were harassing me so much before my bill was even due. I understand if I was late, I was not. As the days went by the calls and texts increased. Try calling them, it's impossible. Even though there is a local contact number it transfers you to the call center where there is always at least a 10 minute wait, sometimes you get disconnected and I have NEVER been able to speak with someone. You can ask them to call you back, it doesn't happen and even though they have a text option every time I try it (no matter the time) no one is available. So, I was done. There is NO option to cancel your account online in account management (go figure). They want you to call (no one answers, smart). Or you can email. I tried that, my email went unanswered for 2 weeks as the harassment increased! Finally I emailed them again and threatened legal action if they do not cancel my account and stop contacting me. They responded to that one and said they would cancel my account. Good. Done. Except not really, this was in October. Today I had a total of 16 missed calls from various local numbers, no voicemails. Doesn't mean they were all Terminix, but the timing was suspect. I did get 1 text letting me know about some special for "valued customers." Last I checked I was NOT a customer. Last I checked we have NO business with each other anymore. Last I checked I threatened legal action if they keep on contacting me. (sigh) I did try calling them (same results I complained about above), tried texting as an option (same results), tried calling local number (right back to call center). I replied STOP to the text, no response. I expect at least 1 more tomorrow. I will try emailing them through the website, am not expecting an answer. So, I guess I will contact the BBB sometime next week and make a complaint if this continues. There are class action lawsuits against Terminix nation wide for this exact thing, I'm not surprised. read more

Very impressed with this company! Jon Cabreza was more than punctual. As he sprayed down each crevice and corner of our home, it was lovely getting to know him as he was a very easy-going individual and made us feel very comfortable. He listened to us as we told him where the cockroaches have been appearing and made sure he took his time. We will absolutely be using Terminix again. Thank you Jon! read more

Awful service and higher price. They charged $40 for small studio (320sqft) with no kitchen. They put several gels and charged $40. It was within a few minutes work. I will not use Terminix any more and one star shows that other people feel same. read more

I had to have my house tented for termites again because I found the dreaded termite droppings. I usually go to the same business over and over again, but this time it wasn't possible because the other company was shut down for a variety of reasons. I've heard that Terminix is really hard to get ahold of because you have to dig and look for the local phone numbers. But I decided to give Terminix a go. They only got a 4 rating because of this. The people that I've dealt with were extremely helpful. I guess you would call the guy I dealt with most of the time, a sales consultant, he gave me various options on what I should do now and maybe upgrading in the future. The crew on the termite team (mostly young guys in their twenties and early thirties . . . I guess you gotta be to climb up the roof with the tenting material on your shoulders) laughed at my jokes although it may have taken them a split second to get the punch line. And when we went back to the house, I called the number on the sign that was posted on the door. The lady said she would call an inspector to make sure it was safe to go inside. The inspector showed up within 15 minutes or so. The gas company came by and turned on the gas so we're good to shower and cook! I took pictures but accidentally deleted them before downloading them to the computer (I know, rookie mistake). But in any event, the business will always have people who love them to death and people who would never do business with them. read more

Hmmmm...seems to be an ongoing pattern here...I'm a long-time realtor here and now a Broker-In-Charge. I called your company to get an existing Sentricon service contract transferred to my buyer client for a property they are purchasing that closes tomorrow. I called twice and both times, got disconnected from the customer service person, after waiting on hold for a few minutes. I called a third and fourth time and waited on hold for 10 mins the first time and a little over 15 mins the second time and just gave up. It's really frustrating having to work with your company. It's sad when I find out that properties are serviced by your company because you've consistently been disappointing. Where's the customer service? read more

This incident started September 20, 2019. It started off a technician checking my place for bedbugs. He quoted one bedroom about $300. He gave me his card to call later to set up an appointment for my place to be sprayed. I called the 1- 800 number to set up an appointment. My appointment was for September 27 between 1-3pm. I asked about what needs to be done to prepare for the spray. They emailed me a list of things that needs to be done prior to spraying. September 27 came it was 2 o'clock I called the 1-800 number to ask where their technicians are. They were looking in their computer system and couldn't find my name anywhere. They asked me for my cell number and home address. I was on the phone for maybe a half hour or so. So what I did was set up another appointment for the next day Saturday, 28 Sept between 8-10am asked them to make sure I'm in the system and if I call what do I give them, they said my cell number. 9am came around, I called to see where there technicians were and again the same shit. They can't find me in the system again!! I called their customer service to file a complaint on that same day. It's October 3, 2019 and I have yet to hear from anybody from that company. I always thought they were a good big name company. But I was wrong. You really have to do your research. Monday I called at 700am Oahu Termite & Pest Control and the technician was here by 8am. read more

I have experienced the same issue that others have suffered through, that is, I sold my house that was under contract with Terminix's termite protection and inspection plan. I had paid the premium to cover up to the end of the year and wanted to pass on the coverage to the buyer of my house. After speaking to Terminix's representative over the phone requesting a copy of the contract, plan and certificate, ther representative assured me it would be emailed to me within 24-48 hours. I received nothing. I called a second time and had to speak to a different representative because they didn't "know the 1st representative" despite me providing her with his name. Well, I had to go through the whole request all over from the beginning. To cut to the chase, because I didn't receive the requested documents, I was forced to repeat this process by having to call them 5 times...each time being forced to speak to a different representative and repeat everything over again and again and again...After the 5th call over a period of over a week, I was given the same reply. I gave up at that point. It is useless to try to get documentation from Terminix. You will get passed from one representative to the next each time you call to follow up. There is no continuity and you cannot speak to the same representative each time you call back since they "don't know who that is" when you ask for a specific representative. TERRIBLE customer service protocol. Amazing that Terminix is unable to provide you with a copy of your service plan or certificate of coverage when asked. Should be a simple thing to do. Either that, or they simply do not care. read more
