So we had a different pest control service and it turns out he just wasn't a fit for us. I noticed some little holes in the basement wall and thanks to 2020, our cursed new home, and simply our luck... termites! Our original guy quoted us $1045 for the treatment which involves tearing up our brand new flooring!! Nope! I called Terminex (waited about 15 minutes to speak to someone but I assumed that was due to covid) and was told the estimate is free and that they could have someone out that following Monday so yeah, sign me up! Monday comes and I get a call from Ryan stating that he doesn't actually work on Monday's and that he had to reschedule with me for the following day. He was completely apologetic and I was totally understanding! Mistakes happen. Ryan shows up and confirms that sure enough, we have free loaders eating our house and not paying rent! Ryan gave me an estimate on the spot and had already told me all the benefits they offer when I contract with them. I believe it was $1245 but they didn't have to tear up the new flooring or do anything extremely invasive. They also cover the damage to the rest of the home if anything other than the affected 2 walls start to show trace of termites while under their care. While there Ryan gave me a quote for the quarterly service if I switch over to them for our usual service and it was only $9 more than our current service and clearly had more potential since I could call them every day for service if needed! The termite install happened just days later and was so fast and easy! They put plugs every 10 feet around my home that they will check on yearly. Easy peasy! So we signed up for their quarterly service and were told we would receive a call for scheduling. It was a Thursday afternoon so we assumed we'd hear from someone the following week but instead we received a text reminder on Sunday about our appointment on Monday.... nope, doesn't work for us. So I text back and didn't receive a response and didn't want to miss an appointment not knowing when the next might be so I proceeded to rearrange my day of meetings to make it work. At the end of the day, we received the service we paid for and are happy with the results. Based on the other reviews our takeaway is to call well in advance to schedule our upcoming service so we avoid being automatically scheduled at times that won't work for us and we'll try to call first thing in the morning to avoid long wait times. Terminix allows you to think - if you pay an exterminator a high price for their services your bug issues will be gone. I am disappointed to the extend that it hurt my feelings to deal with Terminix in Colorado Springs. Scheduling the appointment was a back and forth process that included them marking the wrong date (a week later than what I requested) making them miss the actual date, later they wouldn't send me and type of confirmation when my rescheduled appointment would be. They actually refused to send me any type of email (my online account on the website didn't show a date and time, just that I had an appointment) Worst of all, obviously after we waited so long for the appointment, my tenant sprayed some anti Ants spray from the supermarket which kept them away. When the technician came he saw there were no ants, so he didn't inspect anything, didn't do anything except for spraying some of his chemical around the kitchen and front yard. It was a one minute job, he then left saying "all of this was for free". Immediately after I got a bill to pay $266 dollars. I called and the branch manager said that the chemical spraying was the treatment and I must pay. I asked him to check with the technician why he said this service (not much of it I must say) was not going to be billed, he said he will check and call me back. He never did. I will pay the bill because I would hate to be dragged with this bad energy for a long time, rather cut my loses and be rid of this disappointment. Okay so here's the deal. I made an appointment online this week, no one showed up and even contacted me to let me know why they did not show up. So i called this time since i made the first appointment online. The lady said that it was too late, so i made another appointment which i had to change for Saturday. No one showed up either without any other explanation. I'm guess because it was a free pest inspection they didn't care. I could not recommend this branch less. Blake and Chris are massively incompetent. How did they ever make it to managers? We spent $1500 on exclusion services that were so poorly performed that it's silly to even say they tried. They plugged in two INSIDE holes (ones only accessed once the mice get into the house) with steel wool and did nothing for the outside or basement, which is where the mice are coming in. After they did this, we still had tons of mice getting into the areas where they supposedly put steel wool. Chris wasted our time on multiple occasions by being late to a meeting, not arriving with gear to actually do the remediation, and not communicating with us when supplies arrived or when a technician wasn't going to show up. I had to do his job for him by showing him where mice are coming in through the basement. We have called at least 5 times to get a refund but it hasn't happened because Blake has blocked our ability to get refunded for services not performed each time. The call center has escalated the issue at least 3 times with no luck. And we still have mice! They tried to remedy it by scheduling another person to come in November but that person never showed up and we weren't told they weren't coming so we wasted our afternoon waiting around for this guy to come. This is such a perfect example of what it is like trying to work with this branch. This level of incompetence is bad, even for Colorado Springs. Absolutely the worst! 0/10 never ever recommend! We have been dealing with this since July. The only person who is good and consistent is Brandon who does our general pest control. I'm not even sure if he works out of this branch but if he does he is a 10/10. Couldn't recommend him more highly. But no one else. Everyone else we have dealt with sucks. read more

It is hard for me to think of a company that has more negatively impacted my life. I have procrastinated on this review for months because the memories are so painful, but I want to warn other potential customers. We received a Terminix one-year package when we closed on our mountain home in Chaffee County. The home had rodents. Terminix never did a good job with the rodents, and we identified many holes the techs had missed which we patched ourselves, but that's just bad or incompetent business, not terrible business. A few days after we moved in, we discovered what looked like dead bed bugs in a semi-finished attic bedroom and throughout the house. Terminix came out, inspected the rooms, and took many dead bugs. Their "entomologist" confirmed some days later that they were indeed bed bugs. My husband and I had not been bitten yet or seen live bugs. This was a ~3300 square foot house, and Terminix wanted something like $500 per room for treatment. There were over four bedrooms scattered over different floors, and I had seen dead bugs all over. We opted to wait. We started seeing live bugs---which never bit us---and I ended up treating the whole house myself several times with multiple chemicals (Gentrol, Temprid, Cimexa), suspecting I would be more thorough. My husband and I barely slept, my mother delayed moving in with us until I could complete treatments, we threw out items we could no longer donate---an enormous toll on our mental health and several thousand dollars in extra rent and supplies, not to mention our time. I was already doing emergency work on COVID-19 that took all my capacity. It took me only brief poking around a few months later to discover that the house had had a bat problem, and we had bat bugs, not bed bugs. It was extraordinarily obvious in retrospect, and multiple Terminix technicians had misidentified the bat poop in the semi-conditioned attic as rodent poop, failed to see the fecal blood spots on the rafters near soffits, failed to check the unconditioned attic, etc. We called Terminix and begged them to come out and seal attic openings before the bats returned in spring. Terminix delayed our repeated urgent requests for over six weeks and would not arrange to visit before the bats arrived. Bats were covered in their one-year service contract. Although Colorado does not legally protect bats during the breeding season, it's pretty horrible (and smelly) to arrange exclusions that will leave baby bats to die in the attic, so we had to wait until late summer at this point. That meant we would have another round of bat bugs to contend with. We had been hoping to rent out our home that summer and fall, so this was a major financial loss. We also had to deal with the bats themselves: one flew into our bedroom at night, and I awoke with a rash on my arm. I drove to El Paso County to get a rabies vaccine, costing me two working days during a busy period and hundreds of dollars for the vaccine. Without the pre-exposure series, it could have cost me tens of thousands for emergency immunoglobulin injections and far more vaccinations. We set aside some vacation time in mid-August to meet with Terminix so they could do the bat exclusions. They had been to our house several times at this point and assured us they could do the exclusions. (Although they scheduled the first visit a few weeks in advance, they repeatedly refused to tell us when they could complete the second part of the exclusions, which is supposed to happen roughly a week later---the uncertainty greatly complicated our scheduling.) When they arrived for that first exclusion visit, they discovered their ladder wasn't tall enough. At this point they said we would get something of a refund. The money would have gone to the realtor who paid for it, and we don't know if Terminix followed through. We were hardly made whole. Our handyman, who likes roofs, did the exclusions easily. Aside from their gross incompetence identifying and dealing with bats and bat bugs, it is hard to overstate how difficult it was to get Terminix to return calls and commit to appointments. Fruitless painful hours. We discovered astounding, persistent communication gaps between their central customer service and CS office. Our lives would have been enormously better without them. read more

I don't even want to leave 1 star but have to click something. We set a virtual appt on Thursday night when we found a bed bug in our toddlers room. They came out Friday morning, confirmed bed bugs, took a deposit for treatments and said someone would reach out likely within the next hour. We heard nothing. Saturday morning my husband called and he was told someone would reach out to schedule in the next 24hrs. 26 hours later NOTHING. He called again and this time was told "I don't see any appointments scheduled or that you even called yesterday." We cancelled immediately. This is ridiculous when you have a pest problem!! I reached out to another company (JBB Pest Control) Sunday morning at 10 and they were at our house doing treatments at 1:30. They also charged 1/4 of what Terminix does. Go with family owned businesses!! The only plus is that we got our deposit back today (Monday) which I've seen some reviews saying they had to battle that. read more

I'd leave zero stars if I could, but the system won't allow it. I want to preface this by explaining that the gentleman who actually does our quarterly pest control treatments is professional, friendly, efficient, prompt and meticulous. This review has nothing to do with him since I'd give him 5+ stars! Rather, this review has to do with the virtually impossible process to schedule a re-treatment appointment. I've been a Terminix customer for 30 years in 4 different cities and I've never had this much difficulty scheduling an appointment. Last week, I was told that the rep who answered could not schedule an appointment, but that I could give my availability and the local branch would get back to me in 24-48 hours. That was SIX days ago! I finally got a text saying my appointment had been scheduled... on a day that I specifically told the rep I was unavailable! How hard would it have been for them to call and explain that my available dates didn't work and to help me get on the calendar? This is lazy and inept and, frankly, it shows a complete disregard for my time as well as my pest control needs. If someone doesn't make this right in a hurry, Terminix is about to lose a longtime and (until recently) loyal customer. read more

I would not even give them a half star if that was possible. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I have tried 5 times to schedule service on a yearly plan and nothing ever gets done. When I call the company's Customer Service I am told that the contract has been canceled. So after re-signing up 4 times for a yearly service I still get no call from the branch office and no local contact number to call. When I call back to the customer service number I am told that the contract has been canceled. I will not go through the pain of signing up for a yearly contract for the 5th time. When I asked for a local number to call that was denied. I liked the technicians that have visited our house but the branch office people are horrible. So if you like the frustration of signing and re-signing up for service that will not happen go ahead and use them other wise I would look elsewhere. read more

Phone conversations with Terminix is quite pleasant and quick. Rep that attended my home to service me was prompt, paid attention to detail and my needs for service. I will be honest though personal appearance doesn't seem to be needed here. I honestly though the rep was a homeless man looking for work when I first saw him. Terminix is probably the worst company we have ever dealt with. I just added up the length of times we have tried to contact them and the wait times and the times they are "with another customer"..how about more than 3 1/2 hours since May of '19. They quoted us a price, we paid them 500$'s on the spot (yes, stupid) and when we received their bill it was 500 more $'s than what the sales representative told us and the "bat droppings" continue after 3 short visits by a technician. Then they send a tech to come out and spray for "spiders" which was not requested and SURE, we still have lots of spiders. The tech spent 15 minutes at our house. Please look somewhere else for Pest Control if you don't want our dilemma. read more

Do I have to give them any stars for customer service? We had someone come to spray for ants, which he did a fabulous job. However, we told him that we will think about their semi annual and annual spraying. Apparently he booked us without us knowing and sprayed. Once we found out we cancelled everything, which shouldn't have been needed in the first place and we got the bill. Nothing on our phone records or phone, which we keep for 6 months. When calling customer service, they took no steps to help resolve the matter. No apology but instead put the blame on us for not paying attention. So apparently our cancelling and telling the guy we will call them if we want another spray meant nothing to the company. Customer service is one of the worse I've encountered and I hands down do not recommend. I would even go as far as not recommending this bug company. But sadly, it's only their customer service that likes to blame the homeowner. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. I found bed bugs in my home and the apartment complex contracts with Terminix. Not only did the do an awful job, when I call to schedule a follow-up, they acted like I had no reason to worry about finding live bugs still running around the home. Not only that, the idiot that was supposed to make my follow up appointment didn't make it. I work from home and my schedule only allows to have them come Saturday's. I was on the phone for three hours only to find out no one was coming. You can't reach ANYONE at the local office, it all routes through the 800 number. Several reps at the 800 number attempted to contact the local manager to schedule something same day, but NO ONE ever returned my call. I am beyond disgusted. This company is overpriced, they did a crap job, and their customer service is the worst. Pick the local guy! read more

Not at all impressed with them. Initially told me would do inside and outside when signed up for service. Came out once and said would be back in a couple weeks. Weeks- a couple months go by and nothing. Then keep trying to come out when I'm not at home. So I made several requests to please come after a certain time. Refused saying not in the area at that time. This goes back an forth for a few more weeks. So I cancel all services. Told all is squared away. I thought was over. Then dude comes out and sprays outside and im being charged for that service because no notes were ever put down. So now I'm stuck paying another $112 for horrible service that I canceled prior. Keep getting phone calls and mail demanding a payment. Talked to a woman today and went in circles again like did prior. Really seems like they don't truly listen to the customer. Never again and I do NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

We discovered subterranean termites 5 months ago and bought the entire house treatment package. We've had them back 3 times since as we've discovered new activity. Just found addition evidence in my garage that termites are active and called for a tech to come out and retreat the area ( the first treatment I was told within 2 weeks all would be dead). I have to wait 5 days for the tech to come out. I would not go with Terminix again as I do not believe they are capable of eradicating termites with the process they use. I am not at all happy with their results and have significant concerns that my house is suffering significant damage as a result of Terminixs' lack of results. Call another company. I would give them zero stars if I could. I am located in Colorado Springs no SF as indicated on the review intro. read more

It took a total of 8 phone calls to Terminex to finally get a response. Even then, it was only the service manager who called to tell me he would authorize the refund of 4 months of automatic payments that were being charged to our credit card. Every time I called, I was told that I would receive a phone call within 24-48 hours. In the end - the ONLY phone call I received was from their service manager in spite of being promised a call from the Branch Manager - NO CALL; District Manager-NO CALL; Regional Manager- NO CALL. Because of being sprayed on my head, face and shoulders with solution, I had 3 hospital admissions for pneumonia. Terminex never offered to help cover those expenses or even bothered to inquire about my health. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF You LIVE IN COLORADO SPRINGS. WORST COMPANY EVER! read more

I'm not too pleased with this company! Because I had to wait till 5 clock for the first person he pulled up to my driveway in his truck I need spray and spray and sprayed and he said in two days they should be gone. Next day I look in the morning and they're still there buzzing around and one stings me. So the second guy comes he has a ladder on top of his truck but he was prepared either he didn't have a suit so we wouldn't get stung so he had to go back to his Warehouse company and come at 7 clock. Then he came back at 7 clock and did what do you need to do going into the house going into the attic looking around making sure they're not inside the house then he on his ladder outside and use that white dust didn't do anything these wasp because they were still there the next morning and he told me to wait Saturday so I waited Saturday still buzzing around still right about to sting someone. I don't know what kind of company you're running but it seems like you're not doing what you need to be doing for the people they're paying you. So I expect these wasps to disappear tomorrow. So this is the third time today in September 20th and no results on exterminating the wasp. This company doesn't know what the hell they're doing they had no wasp suit. The guy that came here today said I sprayed. Of course I don't believe him. The owner that paid for this I'm pretty sure a is she doesn't get reimbursed for what's going on. After that probably going to go to a different company. Out today it's been two weeks and there's been no progress in one part of this problem. This company is a joke read more

We have had bedbugs and Terminix has been out to spray twice, and so far it seems the problem is only worse. We live in an apartment so we have no choice but to use them, but whatever they are using to exterminate bedbugs isn't working. I wouldn't recommend them, and if I had my own choice, would go with someone else. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Go somewhere else! This company is COMPLETELY dishonest. We used Terminix for FOUR years. Since both my husband and myself work outside of the home during the day, we trusted that Terminix was performing services as promised during the day while we were at work. This went on until one day I was home, and the technician NEVER came. I have now spoken with a local representative 3 times as well as 2 different representatives at the 800 number. A rep at the 800 number assured me she would take care of my account balance, but suddenly 2 months later, I received correspondence from a collection agency!! I called back the 800 number and was advised that a supervisor from the local office would call me back. I am STILL waiting for a call nearly a week later. read more

The technician was great. Knowledgeable. professional, and pleasant to deal with. He arrived on time and took care of the problem. The real problem was with the Terminix company. They have stupid and vague rules. They wouldn't allow the technician to spray a rock that was infested with Boxelder bugs because it was located five or six feet from the house. This company quoted me online. I called them and the customer service representative spoke to a supervisor and confirmed my online quoted price. I did not feel comfortable putting my credit card on file with them to automatically charge each quarter. They agreed to the discounted online price for my first visit. Needless to say he got here and he had an entirely different price and said he knew "NOTHING" about the price I was offered. He then offered to give me recommendations for another company or two. I sent him away prior to doing the services, which I'm glad I did. He offered to take my check for the price and then his boss would reduce it and to disregard the bill I got for the remaining balance. I don't think so...Pretty sad for a well known company to have to do business this way. read more

If I could give negative stars I would.  This is the worst company I've ever dealt with.  Every step of the way and with every employee I've dealt with in the company, from the technicians to the "customer service" on the phone have failed to do their job.  I first hired terminix four and half years ago and was never alerted to the fact that I had termite activity in my home.  It wasn't until I went to sell my home that the termite activity was discovered.  So you could imagine my surprise when I was alerted to this. After having terminix inspect and bid the mitigation service for my home, I called into the 1800# to schedule my service.  I had to call several times to set up the appointment because every time I called I would be placed on hold and no one would ever return to the line to answer. Finally, I scheduled a time that worked for my schedule and the scheduled timing for the contract on the sale of my home, only later to find out that the service never got scheduled.  So I then had to work with the technicians schedule and take time off of work, lose money, and push back my contract deadline ( again costing me more of my time and money). When the technician scheduled the time, they asked that I set aside time  window from 10a -4p!!!! The technicians left my home a mess with epoxy left all over my floors and front lawn.  They also left a half empty epoxy tube in my front lawn.  I paid the technician in cash and the payment was never credited to my account.  I am still trying to resolve the missing payment issue, and as you can imagine this is no easy task.  I've called several times and I get transfer and put on hold for over 30 min.  The issue was escalated to a manager twice and I was supposed to receive a call back within 24-48 hours and no big surprise here, I still haven't received a phone call back.  So I continue to call, get the run around and never receive a solution or call back.  All I can seem to get from terminix is excuses, poor customer service, wasting of my time and money and a big headache!!! Stay away from this company if you have bed bugs!!! We own rental units and discovered bed bugs. They sold us a one year policy telling us they would come out quartely and in addition, if the bed bugs returned we could call them again and they would schedule a technician to treat. They responded great the first time but when the bugs came back Terminex was no where to be found. It took them more than 2 weeks to respond. A month later, more bed bugs, when we called to schedule a tech, they accused us of not buying the right contract. We have records of our correspondences with the manager who assured us we bought the right policy to cover bed bugs. They finally honored the contract and sent someone out but only after 2 more weeks. Not only do they not treat bed bugs efficiently but their customer service is the worst! We have only had the contract 6 months but now the manager, Joel, who serviced us has left the company and they will not honor the contract again. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs! read more

They get 1 star because the spiders are gone. However, they told us one price at our front door, had us sign a handheld device telling us we were agreeing to that price for the year, then came/called later saying we owed them twice the amount they had told us at the door. We have owned homes for 40 years and are very cautious and thoughtful about the contracts we get into, but it's hard to dispute them when they say we signed up to pay X when the salesman told us we were signing up to pay Y when there is no paper contract in hand. Don't trust them. Don't do it. It is too easy for them to play bait and switch under those circumstances. We will never work with Terminix again. read more

For starters we were told the initial visit would include screening the entire attic and crawlspace. That never happened. The Tech sprayed around the house and the windows. A few weeks later all the same bugs were back. Ants were all over the driveway and entry sidewalks. I called them to make a follow up visit (part of their guarantee) which they did. This worked for another few weeks but all the bugs were back. There were spider webs in all the windows and hornet nests in the outdoor light fixtures. By this time we were due for a regularly scheduled visit. The automated service called and told me it was on a Saturday from 3-5. The Tech never showed up and there was not a call from them to explain. I had lost a weekend afternoon. That Monday I called to report the situation. Terminix customer care had no idea what had happened but were sympathetic and promised to schedule another. The next automated call came in for the next Saturday between10 a.m. and Noon. Once again the Tech never showed up. This time I called immediately. Customer care told me that the Tech had reported having been to our house and performed the service. This was a total lie. I contacted the service, canceled my account and insisted that a manager call me. The operator put me on hold and called the Tech, his boss and another manager as well. All 3 did not answer. Later that afternoon while running errands I saw the Teminix vehicle driving up 115. I would highly NOT recommend this service. They do not perform as promised, do not show up for scheduled calls and then try to get away with charging for services that were never performed. Do NOT give them your debit/credit card information or sign any contracts with them. Their pesticides are basically ineffective and the manner in which they apply their solutions is no more that what the average person could do themselves. read more

If I could give no stars I would- I'm very unhappy with the service I received. I was told when I signed up on the phone (b/c the online site makes you call to start service) that the price would be $60 a quarter (they come every quarter to spray). Which ended up being $60 a month- WTF... I would of never have signed up for $60 a month/ $720 a year. In August I called b/c my bill showed I owed $240 the second month I signed up (which I had to call them to come out a second time in same month b/c the 1st time didn't cover well) for service and the lady at Terminix said no that is your price for the year- which $60 a quarter would equal that. Looking at my bank statements I've been charged $60 every month. This place is a scam, cons or whatever you want to call it. I've tried getting in touch with someone regarding these issues and of course no response back. If I'm getting charged monthly than I expect service monthly. I will be reporting this to the BBB, as well as my bank. I've never been so unhappy with a service, nor have I ever written badly about a place. But when you start scamming/stealing my money than I will have words to say. read more

Worst service ever....DO NOT USE......We paid a year in advance and they do not show up. Called last night and they said they would refund our money. We paid $433 for the year in advance, had one service and she said she could refund only $107 and would have to ask the local branch if they would approve to refund us more. The rep then came back on the line and said she couldn't refund anything because we received a 5% discount for paying in advance....makes no sense at all. If we paid $433 divided by four services they were supposed to perform the refund for the three they didn't show up for should be $324.75. This company is a scam! read more
