I paid Terminix a hefty sum to come out and block outside holes from allowing mice in after an infestation. They told me that, in addition to paying for this service, I also needed a quarterly payment for pest control services. initially, everything went well. they came out, plugged up the holes, and my mice problem slowly evaporated. If you're looking at just doing the initial service, then it was well worth it. The issue is two-fold: 1) I started having mice in my home again within the 3 year period I had gotten for doing the exclusion service. the first few techs who came out walked around the perimeter, said "well, everything's in tact," and went home - completely ignoring that I was having issues with rodents in my house again. Daniel was the only helpful person who listened to my needs, checked a couple places, and found where they could be coming in at. He put in a request in March (never got contacted by the exclusion team) and again in September (we're now at a month out and no contact again). Nathan, the manager who should have been setting this up, does not care about customers or their issues. 2) I was told the pest control services were necessary. This was a $125 a quarter charge (that increased to $175) for them to come out once every 3 months, spray outside, and go home without any interaction. When I went to cancel due to the poor service I received, I was informed these were two separate services. Glad that Terminix is ok with taking advantage of people struggling to squeeze as much money out of them as they can. I would not recommend the Indianapolis branch. I'm sure there's other places in the city who can perform the same exclusion services and actually show up. the reason for 2 stars is because the initial exclusion worked and because Daniel was great to work with. read more

I used the online scheduling system For a pest control appointment as I had a squirrel in my attic. The technician showed up 1/2 hour for an 3:00pm to 4:30pm window. He was unprepared and did not have a ladder long enough to access my attic. He said he would send a technician the next day and would give me a call. The next day came and went with no call. I called the next morning to the number on his card and two days latter still no call. I decided to use a different company and they have already confirmed and communicated. I would not recommend Terminix if this is their idea of customer service. read more

They NEVER show up on time, come on dates not scheduled, and even sent me a full inspection report when I wasn't home and they couldn't get in the back yard to look at half our stations. Had two appointments scheduled for today--full house inspection and termite stations. No show this morning and I called twice to confirm, only to find out on the second call that yes, the appointment was made, but no one at Terminix put it on THEIR service calendar. These people were called to check out a problem of raccoons in the attic. They gave a price that I considered extremely high. After they were told that their service were not requested, they called the Health Department, apparently under the assumption that I had no intention of solving the problem by using someone else. This call to the Health Department was unnecessary, unhelpful and not rational. I am not surprised to see that their overall ratings are extremely low. read more

This is the second time I am writing a review, as I deleted my first when I thought our issue was finally being resolved. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, if anything it's worse than before. We started working with Terminix back in November 2024 for an attic restoration due to a mice infestation. Despite their work, we continued (and still continue) to catch mice in the attic. When we complained, they told us squirrels were now getting in one attic and birds in the other. Initially, Terminix claimed both vents were sealed. However, after further inspection, both vents were still open. Eventually, they placed bait traps and a one-way door in July, but to this day: -The gaping hole in our trim has not been fixed. They left the one way door there too. -The attic vents have not been sealed, and birds are still flying in and out. -And we are still catching mice. The most frustrating part of this entire process is the lack of communication and accountability. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone, and I have texts documenting empty promises, no follow-through, and no follow-up. At this point, I can confidently say I would never recommend Terminix to anyone. I've already told friends and family to stay away, and I hope this review helps others avoid the stress, wasted time, and ongoing issues we've experienced. read more

I have been a Terminix customer for over 15 years. I have a mole in my yard tearing up my yard. I called to make an inspection appointment & to get treatment started to get rid of the mole(s). I was scheduled for today between 3 & 4 p.m. After4:00 p.m. no one showed up or called me. I called Terminix to ask about the appointment. The customer service person told me the tech had cancelled the appointment. What??? No phone call from the tech to me saying he/she needed to cancel......I am totally disgusted. What a way to show your customers that they matter. What a way to run a business...... read more

There are four condos in our building which we all paid our part to rid any termites. We have a yearly contract and had an appointment with an open window of 2 hrs. No one called, set it up again and the same guy was supposedly sick. I was giving another message by someone at an 800# and was told it would be another 24/48 for someone to get in touch with me. I was having an issues with bedbugs in my couch at first, didn't think much to it until it was getting to be too much. Finally I was getting bed bugs in my office where I work. I finally got hold a Terminix exterminator who did a good job but he didn't inspect any nests where bed bugs are. Finally a manager did inspect the nests and found a wicker footstool and found a nest and I had throw that away in the trash. Shawn the branch manager at terminx in Indianapolis is a person that is not of his word. It has been a month of hell with this company they give you a 2 hour window and after that 2 hours you call and can't get the branch manager on the phone. So I called the 800 number they tell me the service tech is enrolled and 30 minutes out I have looked up there reviews and they suck. I appreciate the manager, Nathan Ridgeway coming out and explaining the work done. Although what I thought I was getting was not what was done, but what I had paid for, was done. Although I thought I was getting an encapsulated crawl, I did not pay for that. I should have asked more questions, making sure of what was to be done. Nathan explained to me what should have occurred if I indeed had signed up for an encapsulation. The person who sold me the vapor barrier is no longer with the company and as far as I'm concerned that is for the best. We have had a terrible experience so far and a technician hasn't even been out. There is no communication when it comes to scheduling. The person who did the initial inspection told us we would hear from the area manager in less than 48 hours to schedule. Never heard anything, a week goes by and I receive a text at 10:30 at night that someone will be at my house the next day, which I can't do because of work schedules. He said someone would show up on Saturday instead, cancelled plans to make sure I was home and no one ever showed. No communication from them and then someone shows up today randomly when I'm not home. An extremely frustrating experience so far and I do not recommend. we will be cancelling after our first month is up. read more

We have been customers for over a year now, in that time frame they have only came out 2 times, the second time was over 4 months late, after calling and talking to multiple different people. Since September 2023, Hawx Pest Control has not come out to our house. Mind you, we do have cameras all outside the home. They have continued to charge me since a year, and no one has come put. I have called and told them several times, and each time I call they say they have no record of me calling except for last September 2023. my phone records say otherwise. Now I just got an email saying I owe almost $600.00 for what?????????? Services tou never provided as stated in our contract??? I'd like to give ZERO stars but that's not an option! Do yourself a favor and call a new company before spending a dime. Communication is TERRIBLE. Customer service SUCKS. and trying to make an appointment is impossible. we were told by technician we would need a follow up appointment in 2 weeks... it's been a month and called office to set up an appointment when we never heard from them. Gave them 3 dates (per their request) and now all dates have come and gone with no appointment set in stone, mind you it has been a month from date of service. I've reach out to the technician who came, no answer. THE MANAGER no answer and I'm pretty well done with this company it is an absolute JOKE! A house I was trying to buy turned up evidence of carpenter bees, carpenter ants, and possible termites during inspection.  Made an appointment to get someone out to further assess and provide a quote.  The tech called me earlier in the day to confirm the appointment time.  I drove 30 minutes out to the house and stayed there an hour and a half waiting for him and he never showed.  I tried to call him 3 times and he didn't answer. I called the main number the next day to complain and all they offered to do was EMAIL the local office and someone would get back to me in 2 days.  I explained I am trying to buy the house and I'm on a tight timetable to get this done and they screwed up so I needed more urgency then that.  The rep outright refused to make a phone call or do anything other than send the email.  That was over 3 days ago and still no call from anyone. I don't know where to even begin...scheduled appointment 4 weeks ago, called the week before appointment to verify, and still no show. Not the first time. Had issues all last summer with scheduling and billing and when they came to spray, didn't even go in the backyard. I wasn't home but come on, everyone has cameras on their homes these days, we watched you not even walk into the backyard which was where the main issue was. I tried to give them a second chance this summer because we have to use them for our termite treatments. But I'm done. I was promised a call which I never got today. On top of all this, we have scheduled a rep to come out and give us an estimate to add our pole barn to our current treatment plan for termites, and someone has been out both times and never heard anything from them again. It's just completely unprofessional. This has been an ongoing issue for almost two years with talking to customer service reps and not a single thing has changed. Get it together!!!! Horrible experience! My son and I moved into a home infested with fleas. Signed up for Terminix and they were out next day to spray. Unfortunately, they only sprayed the inside and never touched the yard with spray as they said they would. I have never seen animals in such misery. All they did was cling to the aniamls the second they went outside. When calling to address this, I was told they could come back out a week and a half later to spray the yard and they agreed it should have been sprayed when they were out. I was billed the full amount and given an invoice for half that price for the partial service completed. I tried getting them to move up the spray and was told they could not. I then contacted other companies who were able to complete the job right away. I called and canceled my terminix agreement and asked for a refund for the difference in what service was delivered vs what was completed. I was told they would not give a refund. I asked them to come complete the service that was paid for and they said they could not because we no longer had a service agreement. I would need to sign another service agreement to receive what I paid for the first time. Stay far away from this place! read more

Andrew has been our primary service tech for approximately 2 years when we relocated to the indy community. On every visit Andrew calls prior to arriving at our home, touches base with my wife or I and communicates with both of us in a written report and verbally communication any issues which he has observed since his last visit. in past seasons Andrew has immediately addressed an issue with carpenter bees. Called last week to schedule a one time service. Was told they would "put in a request" for today between 8-12. I didn't hear anything so I made arrangements to work from home today. Didn't hear anything by 11 am so I called to get an update and was told that the request was denied and was rescheduled - WITHOUT CONSULTING ME- for Saturday between 3 and 5. That day/time didn't work for me, and the next available was NEXT Friday. When I expressed frustration I was told "Nothing I can do!" I decided to go with a competitor who could get me scheduled next day. read more

What a joke, initially it was all great. Sales guy did his thing and the service that was provided did the job. We had an Exclusion done to the house due to birds and squirrels in the attic. The Exclusion was astronomically expensive but at the end of the day it worked. I was told by the snake salesman that I would get 3 years of service that a guy would come out and check to make sure the job they did was still intact and keeping animals out. I was told this would be free and included in contract. 3 years later I find out that this was not a free service and it was added onto the back end of my bill and has just renewed for $180... Yet when I asked where was my notice that this charge was going to happen and if I wanted to continue service? Oh you should have received something in the mail or maybe an email. Neither one of these things happened. When I asked for a refund on the $180 they said there was nothing they could do because it's a valid charge.... As happy as I was about the expensive initial work this is not a company I will be utilizing in the future. What a scummy company. read more

Today is the second time I have scheduled a terminix service and no one has shown up. On both occasions I have received a confirmation text the day before the service stating the day and timeframe a technician should arrive. When no one has shown up and I call customer service I have been told I was not on the schedule. I don't understand how this can be if I am receiving a confirmation text. The first time I was understanding that mistakes can happen but the second time is unacceptable. I have missed several hours of work on each occasion. I wish we could give a zero rating. They were that bad. "Not good" is too kind. We had someone out to do a "free inspection"; they took payment, then we couldn't get a service appointment scheduled. We called and called and were continually put on hold. Our requests for call backs were ignored or sent to a loop of waiting on the phone. This isn't hyperbole. Over a two day period I must have spent 2 hours on hold. My problem still isn't resolved. They got our money and then ignored us. I am not someone to give negative reviews. DO NOT use this company. Scheduled an appointment online 5 days in advance for what sounded like a rodent living in our attic. I received an automated prompt that a technician would reach out to confirm appointment within 24 hours, which did not happen. I called to confirm the appointment the day before the appointment was set to take place and a noticeably agitated customer service representative let me know it was already confirmed and the technician would call the morning of to let me know when they were on their way. The 2 hour window of service time came and went with still no phone call, I reached out to see what the issue was and was informed they would need to reschedule...as if that was their call? No, I'm not going to be using your services and we will not be rescheduling at all. I had to take time off work to make this appointment happen in the first place and did everything on my end to ensure that time would be utilized. It's disrespectful to casually dismiss an appointment someone else took the time and effort to set, let alone the type of services needed. I'm not trying to delay or put off pest control, especially when it can cause potential damage to my home. Thank you for your lack of urgency and professionalism, I will look elsewhere. read more

Guess I should have consulted Yelp prior to contacting Terminix. All the reviews are poor. I shall now add mine. We had used Terminix previously and had a really good experience with technician Howie. We had some dusting on a window sill,called Terminix to come out, take a look, and provide a quote if service was required. The technician came out, pointed out some issues (most unrelated to my issue) then went to his vehicle to prepare a quote. While he worked, I worked to remove rot above a window which was the reason for our issue. The technician returned some time later and presented a quote. I asked that the quote be emailed to my wife. Done, he left. We then get a bill of $269 for "service." NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE!! I had DECLINED SERVICE!!! I had asked for an assessment and estimate. I contacted Terminix. After several back and forths with Terminix (they do not allow a phone conversation) they determined that the service had been done and the charges would NOT be reversed. This judgement was without the benefit of anyone at Terminix asking for my side of the story. Terrible discovery on their part. I had my credit card company investigate the charge which withdrew payment from the Terminix account. Terminix notified me that my case was now being sent to COLLECTIONS. WOW. Terrible misrepresentation, terrible investigation by Terminix and absolute abysmal customer service. Looks like a company in trouble and a technician who was paid on service and was so hard up he had to lie about service to receive some compensation. This is a HARD... Absolutely terrible in all aspects. Showed up late, or didn't show up at all. Canceled my service a year ago and they had a "glitch" that caused them to start billing me again. $225 came out of my account immediately, but they can't reimburse me immediately?? Also just found traps in my yard that they never removed when the service was canceled. Don't waste your time or money. Call someone local. Update: after several weeks of back and forth with them saying I'd get my money back, I finally have my money. Terminix, however didn't respond to my complaint. I had to file an affidavit with my bank for improper and unauthorized transfer of funds. So a big thank you to my bank. Terminix, you still suck. read more

Had an appointment today, 6/01/21, between 3:00-5:00. No one showed. No phone call. Nothing. Tried to call this open-24-hour operation. Got a recording. All representatives busy. Really? After 5:15? Recording said to either call back later or Press 1 to receive a call back and they would try to call back ONCE. So far, no call back. Will visit in person tomorrow to get a refund if I don't hear back this evening before 7:00. Will NEVER contact them again - except to make sure that I get the refund. read more

The worst company I have ever worked with by far! This company only cares about making sales, not actually helping with the serious issues you may have in your home. I was charged for a service they have not even provided and I can't even get ahold of someone to dispute it or cancel my service with them. I originally called for a mouse problem in my home. I agreed to have someone come out and set bait traps in the places the technician saw the most traffic. The only thing they have done for me is set up termite traps outside of my house.
