Terminix was hired to do a crawl space remediation at our house. They tried to sell us pest control maintenance plans. We told them we were not interested in pest control plans. They added a pest control plan anyway. When they said they were done with our crawl space job. We hired a certified home inspector to inspect our crawl space. The job failed the inspection- substandard work. They charged for work that never existed in the crawl space. When Terminix came out to fix the incomplete crawlspace work, they charged us a pest control visit fee of $363.14. (This happened twice.) We have asked numerous times to be taken off the pest control plan, but the Terminix manager said," Well you signed it". We don't know what we signed because we never received any kind of explanation or itemized slip-even though the sales rep said he would email one. Don't sign their I-pads read more

If I could give less than 1-stars I would!! Called for an initial service, and really liked the salesperson. We set up an appointment for 2 days out between 3-5pm, as that fit my schedule. The technician sent a text the day before the appointment time saying he'd be there between 1-3pm. No, that time is not what I'd set, nor does it work for me, and he basically told me off. I called Customer Service and they assured me, my schedule time is 3-5pm, could I work with the guy for 1-3 or explain why that time does not work? Sure. Nope, it's still 1-3pm, doesn't work for me. So we rescheduled for the upcoming Monday with a different technician, for 3-5pm. Sunday before my service the guy says he'll be there at 8am. I explain, that time doesn't work, he says he'll do an outside walk around and leave traps for the ants. That's all? I paid for quarterly service, with spray and traps. February 14, 2025 I called Terminex scheduled service at the $38.88 per month for quarterly service. I advised that I'd review documents with technician on site. February 17, 2025, a technician performed inspection and treatment and then left. No documents were reviewed or signed. On March 17, 2025, I received notice $61.06 had been charged to my card. I immediately called Terminex regarding the incorrect charge. I was told that the price for my service was $54.00. I had a copy oof the wbsite advertisement regarding package price of $38.88 and $99.00 special for initial service. The agent refused to recognize the price agreed to for service. I had paid the $99.00 for initial service at the time of the first visit. I talked to 16+ agents: 3/17; 3/19; 3/20 (a manager would call within 24 to 72 hours); 3/26 at 6:52 am (manager could not determine time difference) (3/26 was 5 calls and a voice mail); 3/31; 4/2 (3 calls to main)(2 calls to complaint line; disconnected after 22 minutes); 4/4 (Michael said he would send me a copy of signed paperwork - told him to send nonexistent paperwork)(Michael asked if I wanted to cancel contract - he transferred me to James)(James canceled my contract - but would not give me a confirmation number; cancelation confirmation to be emailed). On April 19, 2025 I got a Sorry To See You Go. And on April 21, 2025, email statement for $104.94 and mailed statement received. 3 calls to Terminex - manager would call 24 to 72 hours. Called 5/5 and was told that I owed nothing and to ignore the statement received. I asked for email confirmation but received nothing. And to make matters worse - initial treatment made a dent in ant problem and sure could have used the follow up quarterly treatment. But I don't deal with dishonest businesses. read more

Wish I could give them -0- stars. Contacted them to help out an elder who has roaches, 2.5 weeks ago and they were going to get out there. No communication at all so another week goes by, still no word and I get another call from the elder. Call them again. "Ok will get someone out" and scheduled a day and time - never showed up, never called. We're now going on almost 3 weeks and they have left this elder in a home with roaches. I'm LIVID. Paid for a service and when the technician showed up he was there for 25 Minutes and did not perform the services we paid 1000.00 for This report is incorrect! #1 there was a dead rodent in the crawl that was removed. #2 There is no mention that the entry point was taken care of #3 The technician left muddy footprints on our white carpet. #4 he was there for about 25 minutes. #5 he told my husband that he was not going to clean up the past waste left behind by the rodents that were previously there. We were told that all entry points would be mitigated, the waste would be cleaned up and the dead rodent removed. None of this detail is in the report and a mess was left behind on our freshly shampooed carpet that we had to clean up. read more

We are told that the technician must not seen the appointment and were apologized to. We reschedule again for tonight,again between 5 -7pm, get off work early to make our appointment. 7:30 pm rolls around and again no technician! I had an appointment but the technician never showed up. Ended up spending 50 minutes on the phone, being transfered 2 times and having to reexplain the situation each time. At the end, I was told communication was being sent to the branch manager and 2 other managers and that I would receive communication from them no later than noon the next day. Again, there was no communication. I recommend using a different pest control company and spending a little more to make sure the company A) shows up when they are supposed to, and B) cares about their customers. Three weeks ago I had to take a wall down because there was termites damage. I called to get an inspector out to see my property and do a treatment. They scheduled me for two days after the first call, my appointment was from 8am-10am, no one ever called or showed up. I called and they rescheduled me for a week later, same thing happened, no call no show. I called again and got rescheduled and once again no call no show. Three weeks of no call no show! Terminix NEVER SHOWED up on the day of the scheduled appointment. Terminix didn't even BOTHER TO CALL me to advise of a new date, cancellation, or tardiness. I have been very pleased with the service from Terminix. We have had a lot of problems with critters getting into our house and especially into our attic. The people of Terminex have been very friendly and capable. So far so good and we have not had any further problem. They always there on time and have done a great job in reducing and or eliminating or critter problem. I hired Terminix to kill all the insects/spiders in my crawlspace. The technician barely went in the crawl. He merely squeezed some powder in the entry and through a few vent screens around the foundation. It was the most pathetic fumigation I have ever seen, and I paid $200 for this nonsense. A week later there were still big spiders in my crawlspace. Orkin was going to use a fogging machine to do the crawl, which seems to make perfect sense. Terminix, "we don't do that". read more

I must be the rare exception. Unliked other reviewers I had a very positive experience with this Terminex office. I contacted Terminex via the national web site and received a call back within an hour. The scheduler was unable to find a time slot and passed my request to the Lakewood office to coordinate directly. I got an appointment with an inspector the same day. The inspector, Christina, and her assistant were prompt and professional with their inspection and assessment. I was not charged for their service because the solution was simply removal of the damaged and infested wood. I contacted Terminex based on recommendation of a friend who used them for a termite infestation problem. He told me they did a good job for him. So far this office seemed to be a solid business. Was told "the technician is enroute, so they'll call you when they can stop safely and do so". I called again at 1045 hrs. to see WTF. Was told "your appointment is TOMORROW". This is a lie. The Gilbert, AZ branch of Terminix is a bait and switch operation pure and simple. They send an individual out to inspect the job, give you a price, sign a contract with you, give you a service date and you think you are good to go. The service tech comes out to your home, in this case the "boss" as he referred to himself, gives the place a quick look around, and then the fun begins. Turns out the job was priced too low and "we" need to start over with another inspection. For the sake of brevity, the "boss" says he can't get in touch with the inspector, who turns out to be a family member, to find out what he was thinking and goes on to contradict himself 3 times on price, that he is concerned about my satisfaction, that money isn't the issue, and the contract wasn't done properly. We were an "acquired" customer in the purchase of Green Pest Services. First, Terminix let the guy we knew and liked go, then we've had a different bug guy every time since. I don't know if they're using the same chemicals and, when I called to ask, waited on hold for more than 10 minutes before somebody answered. The person who answered didn't know, so transferred me...at which point I was disconnected. I then called and contracted with another, environmentally-friendly pest service (we have pets), and signed with them. I called back to cancel and, after another ten minute wait, spoke with a "Tiffany" who had to transfer me to another group. After a brief 3 minute wait, I spoke with "Victor" who was actually pleasant, and took my cancellation request. Had they provided the same level of service that Green previously did (same person out to spray for bugs, explain their bug chemical regimen, made me aware of their safer chemicals, etc.), I probably would have still been with them. But they didn't, so I am not. read more

Zero stars for Terminix really, especially this branch. Hands down this is by far THE WORST customer service I've EVER received from any company. We signed a contract for quarterly services and our first one was December 2016. It's now a few days from July 2017 and we have not been able to get into contact with anyone other than the 800 number who always says "they'll contact you in 24 hours", but they never do. This branch does a real good job of making appointments and not contacting you about them, only to cancel them without telling you. The only "answers" (I say that loosely because the 800 # doesn't usually have answers for you) you get are when you call the 800#. They'll tell you, " oh I see here they cancelled your appointment, without any notes. Someone from the branch will contact you in 24 hours." AWFUL. Be forewarned. Look for a reputable exterminator, cause Terminix is not it. read more

For those people thinking about using this company at least in the Tacoma Washington area. Don't bother!!. My family had called them last Saturday and set up an appointment for them to come to our home on Wednesday between 3 and 5pm. My wife had to miss her company picnic to be here for this but it was something we wanted done so we accepted that. My wife and kids sat at home till 5:10 with no one showing up. I was on my way home from work at this time so I called them. The number you get when you call is some kind of national operator. The lady I talked to was very polite and offered 2 options. Either reschedule or she can contact the branch manager to find out an eta and have the manager call me back. I choose for her to contact the manager to make the wait we've already done not to be for nothing. So now another hour goes by and still nothing. So it's now a quarter after 6 and I call them again. I talk to another lady who is real polite and she attempts to call the inspector while I am on the line. Unfortunately he does not answer and oh by the way his voice mail is full so a message can't even be left. She also trys to call the manager and surprisingly can't get ahold of him either. So now we've wasted about 3 and a half hours of our day with no response from the branch so I told the lady if they come and we're here great, if we're not too bad we've got other stuff to do. It has now been five days since my scheduled appointment, 8 days since the appointment was made. Still no call. Not really expecting one though now. I run a business too and I know if we are running behind, which I understand happens, you still need to at least call and update your customer. But hey maybe business is good for them right now and they don't need any new customers. My recommendation is to go to the next company that comes up on your search, they obviously don't need or want your business. read more

So this continues to be a major issue. We called the Tacoma Terminix office a couple weeks ago to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and give us an assessment on some carpenter ants eating away at the side of our house. The appointment window was scheduled with the representative, and we arranged to put our rowdy dog in daycare to make the visit more pleasant for the Terminix rep when he came. Waited ALL DAY, no phone call, no representative. We called the office again the next day, no answer. We called the national office instead; they called the Tacoma office: no answer. The national Terminix representative told us he'd left a voicemail for the office staff in Tacoma, letting them know that we'd been stood up and needed to reschedule. The next day, we received an automated phone call asking us to choose a time window for a rep to come to our house. We chose, and it confirmed. And hour later, the same automated call, asking us to choose a time window for a rep to come to our house. We called the Tacoma office again, no one picked up. We waited again hours before the appointed time, and were still waiting hours later. No one showed up, no one called. This business obviously could care less about our business, which seems to be the pattern after reading other reviews here. Save yourself a week of phone tag and call someone else. We then called Whitworth Pest Solutions Inc. in Puyallup, and a person picked up on the second ring, scheduled a time, and SHOWED UP ON TIME. Then, he let us know that it wasn't carpenter ants, and he would love to have our business, but the problem would resolve itself so he couldn't charge us anything. Just sayin'. read more

I asked her they can't use their phones to let customers know they are running behind or they are on their way....she said they have a no phone policy while they are in their cars...She tried to call the tech and he never picked up so she said call back in a half hour if he isn't there. So I called again and the guy called the tech again and still didn't pick up!!! The Senior customer agent called the manager of the location and he didn't pick up either. That call was at 3:35pm 4 o'clock rolls around and I called the senior customer service line again he tried to call the tech 4 more times and couldn't get him to answer!! By time I get off the phone with him it's now 4:38pm!!!!! I kept hearing from these senior customer service employees to wait around!! So by 5:30 I'm extremely pissed!!! I was getting no answers... They kept saying someone will give you a call back to get this resolved.... So 6 o'clock rolls around and get a call back saying the tech didn't get my work order for my house!!! I don't understand when their techs are out in the "field" they have no way of contacting them!!! For all I know the tech was at 711 buying a slurpee or getting a hair cut LOL.... I think they should have a way to get a hold of them when they are out there!!! I had to cancel my appointment (dentist) I had scheduled a few weeks ago because we had no clue what was going on.... I get on Yelp and look up the review & seen how horrible their service is!!! I looked on Yelp for other companies & came across one that stood out to me because they had wonderful reviews!!! I called the 800# about the no show and they told me my appointment was next week--a time that I was at work and couldn't be home--I don't know who made it. They no showed 2 days ago and now they no showed this morning. Haven't heard from local terminex branch about running behind or rescheduling.
