From my first call to Terminix I've been impressed by the great costumer service. I have continued to be impressed with the service and have recommended Terminix to anyone that needs pest control. Unbelievable poor communications and lack of mailing with national billing and rude call-center communications.

If I could give zero stars I would. Called three times- for three appointments that were no shows. Each time the person politely apologized saying didn't know what happened; but will call the service rep. The first time the rep left his card in the door -they said he came 7 hours before the scheduled appointment. Gave the benefit of the doubt - anything can get lost in translation - but proved me wrong 3 times-Don't bother. read more

We were ok with their service until our dog got sick and the vet said it might be rodent poison. My husband canceled services online. A few weeks later, we left the country for 3 weeks and our service person came anyway and sprayed our perimeter. We had already moved the bait boxes into our shed so they weren't available to refill. We received a couple of bills for service, and my husband called the company. They said it was not possible to cancel online (there sure WAS an option to do that!) and they pretty much called him a liar and refused to zero out the bill. After he insisted, they transferred him to someone else who said they would take it under consideration but were not able at that time to tell him if they would remove the charges. So we're still not sure if it's been taken care of. We have near-perfect credit scores and don't want this company to ruin that, but we certainly did cancel them and they showed up after cancellation. Their service is ok, we liked the service rep, but beware - you may have their services till hell freezes over because you can't cancel. STAY AWAY from this company. read more

Have a problem currently with mice. Have been using Terminix for over 10 years. Call on Monday, tell them we need house treated for mice. Technician will be there Thursday between 10-12. Tech shows up, thinks he's there to treat backyard because on last scheduled treatment day we weren't home and he couldn't treat because pet was out. Wife says, we need the house treated for mice, tech says that's not the msg he got. Says will have to come back Saturday morning with traps. I sit around until past noon, no Terminix tech shows up. No call, no text. Several hours later I get an email that says treatment is complete. Look at invoice, tech was there 2 minutes, placed one mouse trap. Noted no mouse or rat activity. Never called/texted he was on the way or at the house. I was 20 minutes away and would have come home. Thursday, he asked about crawl space access. Today he placed one black mouse contraption in the back yard (is it safe for pets? No clue, nothing in email says). I wanted him to come in the house, inspect the crawl space, advise on cleanup...because, trust me there are or have been mice in the house. Got nine of that. Will be calling local owned business on Monday and dumping Terminix as soon as I can get new company out to the house. read more

My first experience wasn't as great, but I was impressed that they cared enough to follow up and provide the best experience for me. My 2nd service, our technician Steven was extremely nice, professional, and apologetic regarding the scheduling issue we had received a few days prior. Through an email I was notified of their date and approximate arrival time. Through a text message I was notified when Steven was in my area and his approximate arrival time. EXTREMELY helpful considering I have dogs and a toddler to ensure are inside and out of their way. I had to reschedule one of the visits because I hadn't been sent an email/call to notify me of their arrival. With dogs in the yard, I needed to be home for them to service our yard. Steven was very flexible and accommodating to work with. After my first experience a few months ago I wasn't going to renew (no call, no notice of arrival time, etc), but they made the effort and were very professional so I am keeping their service. They definitely stepped up and showed me they care about our experience and a job well done. I am not giving the last star because of the first couple issues I had, but I am super impressed with the last service I received. I may update my review after the next service to see if they are consistent and continue to improve the customer experience. read more

Terminex. Got this service as a new homeowner. The technician who came to the house the first time was pretty good. He is the only reason for the one star. Two of the next 3 visits was the same technician who appears to enjoy chain smoking with the windows up in the truck. He reeked so strongly of cigarettes that the house stank for 2 hours after he walked 20 feet from front to back door. His paperwork layed on the carpet for 10 minutes and was removed from the house but the area it was in still stinks of cigarettes 40 minutes later. Called the office and waited on hold for 16 minutes so that i could request a smoke-free technician the next time only to be told by the supervisor that he could not guarantee that because it is the technician's personal habit and would be like "not sending him into a house because the catbox wasn't cleaned". He was not willing to try to understand allergies nor willing to attempt to arrange a technician to help. I can only assume that Terminex only hires smokers to work for them and do not care about the health and wellbeing of their customers. Avoid this company at all cost if you have a loved one who has allergies or lung problems as your home will smell worse than the smoking area in a casino when they leave. read more

After 10 years of using their service, I am suddenly being refused my request to have ant hotels left behind by the tech. I am now required to request an additional service which requires a whole hour hour of my time on hold waiting for their less than competent phone system and phone reps! Annoying to put it mildly. read more

I would give Terminix a 0 star if I could. I scheduled an appointment asap because we found pest activities. The estimator was to call before they came out as we have a two hour window. Needless to say, no call, no show. I called to reschedule (what can I say, I believe in second chances) and again a no show but at least they called to cancel. Guess they are too busy (doubtful) or are not interested in growing their business, either way I spent my $800 with a company that answered my call. In a way I should thank Terminix since I had to go elsewhere I found a company I can count on today, tomorrow and next year! read more

I cannot even give 1 star for a rating. I called yesterday 3/7/18 and scheduled for them to come out to a home. I scheduled for 8-10am. I called there office 2 times this morning and the reps were not able to get a hold of the Tech that was to be at the house both times. At 10:25 I called and they were then able to tell me they could not get a hold of the Tech however the Supervisor was able to and he was 45 MILES away after being 25mins late. I then spoke to a supervisor who has 0 compassion for the clients. All they could say to me was, "Yea the Tech isn't going to make it there today." I cannot recommend this company to anyone especially if it is time sensitive. The supervisor could do absolutely nothing but blame the person who made the appointment. read more

this was a joke of a service, they came out and give me a price, and they wont go under the house... All guy did was set up sticky traps at the entrance of the crawl spaces. ( rats have to run over them to work) But they in no way attract rats to them. Then 3 times they said they where coming but never showed and never called saying they wont make it. and each time they made a appointments without calling us to ask if the day or time was even ok with us. So after the 3rd time of this happening I canceled the contract and got someone else to come out who did a wonderful job. So yeah never use Terminix. read more

Made an appt & left work early to meet the tech. The tech never showed up! Called the corporate CS # twice. Talked to 2 CSR's - both said no idea why the tech didn't show. Asked for a supervisor, was on hold for almost 15 minutes before a woman came on the line. She said the same thing but called & emailed the local manager (Kent, WA) to call me and she would call me in 2 days to follow up. Didn't hear from the supervisor or manager. I did get a call 10 days later from the manager to set up an appt? Told him the appt was 10 days ago & the tech didn't show up or call! He didn't care, just wanted to know if I wanted to make an appt. For a service company, their service is awful. DON'T USE THEM! Better off finding a small local company. read more

This company totally forgets about you once you pay any money. I had them do some termite work for me. First, they missed the two appointments they made and didn't bother to call to reschedule. Of course, they collected their money "up front." That's two lost days of work, which they don't care about, but I do. I had to call them!! After three missed appointments the branch manager finally came out and dug the termite traps and said he'd return in two months to check them. No show as of today. Two emails and 3 phone calls to the Branch manager (Adam) and zero return calls. If you get termites, you're better off to let them eat the house than deal with this office. read more

I had an appointment for someone to come from 1-3pm. After 3 he still had not shown up, so I called the main office & they put me on hold to call the service man. They said that he wasn't picking up his phone & to keep waiting. After waiting until 4, he still had not shown up. I called again & they tried calling him again but he still wasn't picking up his phone. They told me I had to reschedule. This is totally unacceptable. How can a company not have constant communication with their employee. What a waste of my day. I will never use them again. read more

The tech was very nice and very professional and new his product. I was extremely happy that I called for ants and as he was looking at the exterior he removed wasp nest and spiders eggs and I was extremely happy he removed the nests and eggs. I felt bad because I was running late for my appointment time of 1-3 and I called the main office to let them know that I was running late and the message went to the original tech that was suppose to come and not the tech that was waiting for me. Squeek squeek is all I heard. These guys didn't do what they said they would do. They were supposed to go under the house and remove the dead rats/mice. They didn't. For years. Update....the day after i wrote this review the manager Alex called me to apologize and make things right. I told him under no circumstances would my husband allow them back on our property but then he explained things about the company. The schedulers are not from Washington and no idea about the distance between appointments or the traffic in the area. I did allow them to come back out and the guy was professional and really cool. Make sure when you make the appointment you make the instructions clear then follow up with the local office. ---------I could give a zero I would. My husband sent a request for an appointment and they called within 2 minutes, said they would be out the next day between 5-7pm and would call 45 minutes before they arrived...oh and made sure to get our credit card number. We sat at home no call nobody showed. At 6:30 I called and was told the guy came out between 8-10am today...i don't think so. No notice that he was here and no proof he sprayed anything. They say they go over things with you so how is that if I am not home AND how did you get in my backyard. This seems to be a problem with this local office. So now that I have wasted my evening waiting I will get a call from a supervisor within 24-48 hours....waiting. Maybe someone in corporate needs to take control. read more

If I could give them a zero I would. I've been a quarterly customer now for 8 years and I can say with certainty that the customer service this particular office provides has been declining greatly. At my last quarterly appointment I made sure to be home for interior service. The technician informed me he forgot a ladder or step stool so he couldn't go in my crawl space. When I provided one he said at my next appointment he would go in the crawl space if I noted that specifically in the "notes" section of the scheduling. Well today I had service scheduled from 8am-10am with specific instructions in the notes. After receiving confirmation calls last week telling me of my scheduled appointment it is now 5:25pm and no technician has come and I have received no information from Terminix. When I called the 1800 number the person helping me couldn't get a hold of the scheduled technician or the branch manager. My next step is to cancel the year of service I prepaid with Terminix and find a new pest company. Today's experience has confirmed my desire to cancel after my last service call. read more

Wish I could give them zero stars are we are so unsatisfied. We hired and paid Terminix $200 to spray outside and inside of our house for moths. The first visit the technician convinced us no need to spray and left these "traps" (sticky paper) to trap the moths. That did NOTHING. A week later second visit the technician again said no need to spray and left new hanging things that stop reproduction of moths. WRONG we found new larva! I called back and asked if someone could come out and they scheduled a technician to come out and they never showed up. I called to find out why and the first representative said that she could not reach the technician but would have them contact me. 2 hours later I called back and this rep told me that my service expired and they will not come out unless I pay another $200 for another service. UNBELIEVABLE! Guarenteed satisifaction?!? Yeah right! Not at all. Completely unsatified customer and absolutely shocked at their lack of customer service. Absolutely do not care about their customers. I will never ever use them or recommend to anyone. Don't get sucked into their scam that they will solve your bug issues. They don't do anything other than waste your valuable time. read more

I just had my 2nd service from Terminex and I'm very happy with the service. I received an email reminder about a week before the scheduled service. I needed to reschedule which was very easy to do - all electronic. I received a verification email that the service time had been changed. My service technician, Jeremy, is great! He does the walk around, looks for problems, remembered I have a couple frogs that live in certain area and I didn't want them sprayed. He checked in with me after the service was complete and told me about mosquito prevention I can get next year. SOLD! My entire experience from signing up for the service, receiving notifications, to changing service dates, and working with my technician Jeremy, have all been extremely positive, and I can be quite particular. Looking forward to a mosquito free summer next year! read more

James is excellent. Always on time, always friendly and courteous and does a great job. We've typically had an issue with ants and James always checks and asks us if we've had any issues. We've been with Terminix for several years and never had an issue. They always show up on time and take care of business. read more

I first became a customer in 1995 and started with pest control and have great service and very friendly and professional Techs whom serviced us well for many years. We then moved to another location and continued the pest control and added Termite inspections in 2009. All the while have nothing but a great experience. In 2015 they asked us about Mosquito service that would run from the spring to the fall and we were excited but skeptical because we are in a more rural location but we were assured they would come out once a month and that if we ever needed additional service in a month they would come out for free. The service would be 79 plus fees. This was true the first year and we loved it. 2016 we started the service and all the consistency went away. We got assigned a new Tech whom could do our pest control but wasn't certified to do the Mosquito treatments. They would schedule him for it and it would not get done and they wouldn't tell us it would get rescheduled and it would get put off for weeks . We would not get a call from anyone about this and when we would call we would get the home office whom was always sorry and would get someone out at once and have a manager from the local office call. That never happens. I got a call from a tech whom occasionally trying to reschedule but was not constant about coming out either. All of that is what made the disconnect with the Home office and the local franchise even worse because the applications were done further and further apart and forget about getting additional services. I would be patient because their service had been so good prior. I had on many occasions monthly call in and explain the situation and the Home office would be extremely sorry and take notes and emails the local office and promise someone would call. This would not happen even if I asked for it. I had even given them the ideal that I am not picky about what day or time they come just assign me a Tech to do my Mosquito service whom would be the same one every time to come at his convenience. A Tech whom had serviced us prior to our move called me and he would come and get me caught up but the company had been short of Certified Techs for the Mosquito treatments, but that I should be getting one soon. 2017 we call to start the service in May because we had company coming over for a family event and with scheduling issues it was June 2nd before they showed. We felt the mosquitoes were still bad so we requested additional service and dates were set up an missed for the next 45 days again cause us to deal with heavy Mosquito for another Family gathering. The Home office was called several times and were aware of the need for service with these events we had planned. The home office would always be sorry and say all the right things but never deliver. I would get a text or call when they were on there way from a tech but never a notice when they weren't going to make it. I would call when I realize that it to late and they weren't making it and they would already have me schedule for weeks later and still never show. I would ask again to have a Local manager or owner call me so we could figure out the disconnect but it would never happen. After a year of being mislead I called to cancel my other services because I felt unimportant and unwanted, the Home office offered a half price service for an apology and again promise some one from the local office would call. I am still waiting for the call and the service the scheduled and didn't show for. I would with out hesitation tell everyone about my experience and suggest going elsewhere for any and all of what they offer from this location in Lakewood. I think I gave them more opportunity and more stars than deserved. I am not one to do surveys but felt compelled to do so read more

If you want your pest removed, DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I had appointments set up all day on Saturday (8-12)(1-3)(5-7) and not a damn person showed up. Every Time I would call them, they would set up the next appointment and say the person would show and yet they never did. They even told me that they had me scheduled for a Sunday appointment which was weird to the lady on the phone seeing as they ARENT FUCKING OPENED ON SUNDAY. This is a terrible company. I've wasted my entire day fucking around with these people. Save your time and go with a different company. If not, you'll be waiting for them forever and STILL living with your pest. read more

I just received a copy of a letter from the Department of Agriculture to Terminix (See my profile picture) stating "As a result of this investigation it was found that you were not in compliance with state regulations as stated in the enclosed notice of correction." WOW and all I get is afacebook response saying sorry for the INCONVENIENCE, the manager telling me he finds it is usually all psychological with people and them continuing to go on about how no one has gotten sick especially an entire family and their dog. Listen, it was MYSELF and our DOG which is why WE are the only ones named in the report! I am so upset over this, their lack of empathy and constant barrage of excuses even in the reports Dept Of Ag sent me. I plan to pursue it. This was a huge inconvenience to me being confined to my home over a long period of time when I have kids to tend to, on Benadryl 24/7, phone calls, investigation, hives all over, etc. read more

They told me its hard to get to an appointment so late at night (7-9) so I changed to a morning appointment and surprise, another no show. I am so sorry I ignored the bad reviews. They did come out, but not on time, The result from January Appt was that they would put out glue traps and keep coming back for free. Then in the spring we would sign on to do the maintenance program. In the mean time she would come back and check and replace the traps for free. Well, we got what we paid for! She never came back and no one could get a hold of her after Jan 25th, by phone or email ( using the information on her business card) When I spoke to her ( before Jan 25th) she claimed the Tenants never called her to set up a time and she was going to go there that day and email me the treatment plan and the steps she is doing. She didn't go and she never emailed me. I called their main corporate number and all they could say was that is not usually how that happens and we needed a contract. Pest inspector never offered one, should I have provided my own contract? So corporates suggestion was to go head and set one up with them. I explained I lost all confidence in their service, so they suggested they patch me through to Branch manager. While waiting on hold for Branch Manager, I was disconnected, and no one called me back. I give up Terminex, Ill just have to give my money to someone who wants it! I have been attempting to use them since Jan 5th 2016 its now Feb 19th 2016 . In fairness it could be the tenants not scheduling appts but that does not explain the inability ( myself or property manager) to get a hold of her, or have information emailed or snail mail. I would just like to say how disappointed I am in the service that WASN'T provided to me. The day before yesterday, we called to have someone come out to check for mice in the attic. We were told someone would be here between 5 & 7. Well, 7 came around & no one was here. We called and were apologized to and told someone would be out the next evening between 5 & 7. I even left work an hour early to make sure I was home. But what do ya know! No one showed up! AGAIN! We tried calling a few times & were transferred multiple times, finally connecting to someone after a few calling attempts, to a woman who was rude & didn't apologize or empathize with our situation, even though my husband apologized multiple times throughout the conversation for sounding potentially unpleasant. They have now lost a customer. I will not only not recommend then, but i will advise against them. I know if something like this happened at my work, it would NOT be tolerated or accepted by any sense of the word. read more

absolutely horrible customer service. it took four phone calls over two days to make an appointment, and then no one showed up. we called to find out where the tech was, and no one knew. we made another appointment. again, no one showed. we called to find out what was up, and they said he'd be there in a different two-hour window that same day. those two hours passed. we called. they said, "today? no. your appointment is two days from now." unbelievable. i tried to get in touch with our local tech rather than the national line you get routed to, and that's next to impossible. i was getting no help from the national folks, so i asked them to connect me to my local office. they said they had no way to do that. after 12 days, i finally got a call back from my local office. i demanded they cancel our contract, which they did, and they're allegedly refunding our quarterly payment. we'll see. but here's the kicker. two days after we canceled, we *finally* got a call back from the national office. so if you're okay waiting two weeks for a service provider to call you back after you make at least ten phone calls to them, this might be your company. otherwise, find anyone else. read more
