My neighbor paid for these guys services. The technician was outside making loud noises such as drilling, slamming ladders around and (Whistling the same tune over and over again.) all before 8am. The thing that pissed me off was the "locker room talk". Talking about "getting some last night". Talking about their "situationships". It was a hot night last night so all our windows are open. So this is how we were woken up this morning. Don't know if the service is good. But that guy was a douche. We live in an apartment complex and there were more than just our windows open. Hopefully in the future he conducts himself with respect and represents the company better. read more

I called Jack Russell Wildlife Control to get rid of a skunk in my garage. Jack was able schedule an emergency appointment with me the same day I called him. He arrived on time, inspected the perimeter of my house to make sure no other skunks or rodents could get into my house, and was able to get the skunk to run out of my garage without it spraying on anything. He also gave me a few tips to what I could do to reinforce areas around the house to prevent pests and rodents from entering in the future. I thought I might have a racoon in the crawl space. Called Jack Russell Wildlife Control who sent someone out. For a non-refundable fee of $250, I still don't know if a racoon is in there. What my $250 got me was an estimate to do $9350 of work to clean and seal up my crawlspace. Checking with two other companies who specialize in this kind of work, I got quotes for the same work at $2400 and $ 3500. These two companies came out, crawled under the house, and gave me a free detailed estimate. I feel that this company makes money by #1 charging $250 for a 30 minute inspection (no critter removal) and #2 by offering work at three times the going rate, hoping that you will not go out and get a second or third estimate. read more

We started hearing rats or squirrels in attic, could not find where they were getting in. Got estimates from two other exterminator services who wanted to get us on a contract and keep setting poison boxes forever. My wife found Jack who was up on the roof right away, found the spot the rats were getting in, gave us a full itemized list of recommendations (some of which we ended up doing ourselves like trimming shrubs, some of which we had him do), secured that corner of the roof with flashing and did a couple other things, and said let's see if we keep hearing rats. We did keep hearing rats, so Jack returns and finds one more place where rats were coming in and secures that location. Both places he placed a one way exit door so they could get out but not back in, and placed traps where we heard them. I was really impressed by Jack's knowledge of animals and construction, his philosophy to secure the house and get the pests out of the house because you can never get them out of the area, rather than just keeping poisoning them, He also has a great can-do attitude. I'm hoping not to have to use his services again, but if I ever have a pest problem I'll call him right away. Oh yeah, his prices were very reasonable too, less than the other quotes I got plus his was a one time deal rather than ongoing expense forever. read more

When I arrived to visit my daughter in Auburn she was concerned about a bad smell in her house. It seemed that an animal had gotten into the walls, vents, or heater and died. I called a variety of businesses (HVAC, Duct Cleaners etc) Each of them told me I needed Pest Control. Several I called were not a satisfying experience and then I found Jack. He was professional, explained what they would do when they came to the house and gave me realistic expectations of what they might find. He sent a young man named Vern out who was excellent. He left "no stone unturned" and checked every part of the house that was available to him. Also left me with a list of items that could/should be done to help secure the house. We could try to do some of them ourselves or have them come back and take care of it. His marking the mosts important ones was very helpful. We did not know it at the time but we had an invasion of river otters underneath our crawl space. We started noticing a horrible smell in our kitchen area. It was definitely a smell of death and we knew that something underneath the kitchen had died. A year earlie, my brother had had a huge problem with rats and he highly recommended that we call Jack Russell as he solved their infestation. Jack came out promptly. He went underneath the crawlspace and found the bodies of two dead baby river otters along with lots of their scat and the scat of the mother and other babies. Jack cleaned out the whole area, took the babies away, had all of the insulation taken out and had the whole area sanitized and sprayed. He then had the insulation put in again. The smell was gone and we were so pleased. It has been a year now and no river otter has returned to our crawlspace as Jack made sure it was secure from any more infestation. I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. He is thorough, diligent, hard working, and very intuitive about pest control. If you hire him, you will not be disappointed. WHAT CAN I SAY!!! Jack Russell is the BEST!!! He conquered my rat problems, came to my home almost immediately when I frantically contacted him about my rat problem, always kept me up to date on what he was doing and was very professional and nice to my two little dogs, Amico and Simba. I would recommend Mr. Russell for any of your home cleaning needs. He installed new vents around the foundation and on the roof, replaced my dryer vent leading to the outside, installed an access door by the crawl space of my home, and rebuilt the cover.
