I called Terminix and they were sending Josh over to my house to look at the bugs I found. The man that showed up had an Erlich uniform on not Terminix. He looked at the bugs and said I had termites and it would be $1500 to treat. He then wanted the password to my WiFi be he said he couldn't get into his app. I felt very uncomfortable during the entire visit. I had another reputable company come out the next day and confirmed that the bugs had three body parts not two and after a thorough inspection confirmed I had carpenter ants not termites. Terminex pest control service was extremely disappointing. Not only were they unresponsive to our needs, but the individual employees we dealt with showed a lack of integrity. Additionally, there seemed to be a lack of safeguards in place to prevent negligence from employees. We asked for the rodent exclusion service and convinced into getting rodent exclusion service + insulation for our attic due to a current promotion. Now 6 months later we need a follow up for the rodent exclusion but can't have one because we have "no record" of a rodent exclusion to begin with. So we paid for the rodent exclusion service but cannot reap the benefits of the service because they only have record of attic insulation. So employee benefited from our attic insulation service purchase and we lose out on the full benefit of rodent exclusion service. How's that for the type of BS that can happen due to a company with loose protocol. Been told for weeks now I would reccieve a call from "our terminex branch". That's right, if u call terminex they can't help, they have to refer you to your branch. Will they or won't they? I'm STILL waiting. How's that for effenciency. I could never recommend a service that can be ruined by individual employees. Has ORKIN's recruitment survived the pandemic? We'll see cuz I'm getting crap tier service from Terminex, anything would be an improvement. read more

Terminix came out and said we had mouse feces in our attic insulation. We could become sick from that and they saw were the mice could get in the house. So we purchased the new attic insulation treated with arsenic. They took out the old insulation and blew in the new. Then treated around the house for bugs, set termite monitors, and sealed where the mice could get in the house. Well when they did the insulation they said they needed to come back and finish. They never did. A service supervisor checked and said it looked ok to him. Well the house used to be warmer in winter. Since they supposedly put adequate new insulation it is colder. We paid over $6000 for this privilege. Still had bugs coming in the house. Every time a tech came to check the mouse and bug traps they would ask where they were. The never recorded where they placed them. The tech that came out, I watched. He sloppily sprayed around the house, on the siding 3 feet high, near the ground, just all over the place. After a year I cancelled the service. For months the tech would call to schedule a visit and each time I had to say we cancelled you months ago. Total waste of money and we feel we were screwed with the attic insulation. They never came to collect any of the stuff they left behind and it has been 9 months. Buyer beware! read more

If I could rate 0 I would. We noticed a dead mouse and quickly called to make sure we didn't have a problem. The "sales person" Greg that came to assess our issue played off of our lack of knowledge and used deceptive practices to sign us up for the largest package available bc he diagnosed us with a supposed "infestation". After the workers came to mitigate our issue it turns out that we did not have an infestation at all. Maybe 2-4 mice. shame on us for trusting the so called "experts" but now we are 10k in with them. I called and tried to escalate due to the deceptive tactics of our sales person, and their manager Mark was rude and condescending and refused to take accountability. I asked to escalate and no one ever called. They never came out for their 2 week inspection, we had to call ourselves and we are still waiting for part of the job to be done from Nov. Beware of predatory practices and price gouging from this company. They lack integrity and sound customer services practices. read more

Their scheduling department is totally unresponsive to my calls and ended up sending a technician to my home at 8am on a Monday morning for a 4 hour spray without checking with me and i had to send them away because I work from home and couldn't leave for that length of time. I contacted Greg a Manager and Robert a Regional Manager for a refund since they had not completed their obligation and I never received a call back from either. Save your money and go with another vendor. If it sounds too good to be true, it is, and Terminix sounded too good to be true. read more

I regret ever signing up They send advertising to buy all there products literally every other day. They send in the regular mail and by email and there's no way to unsubscribe. I even spoke with customer service about the harassment and they're still sending their mail to me. I wish I could give negative stars. Please stop harassing me. We hired Terminix to get rid of bed bugs in March. After 5 months, 3 different technicians and 7 treatments we are still finding them alive and well. We know that we're not tracking them in from anywhere because we have been quarantined since this started. We have not travelled and nobody has stayed at our house so there is no way for them to have come in from somewhere else My kids continue to get bit constantly and are starting to develop scars from scratching at their skin for months on end. The manager is condescending and whenever we call it feels like we're being a nuisance. I want my money back so that I can hire a competent exterminator. We won't be hiring Terminix ever again. read more

At first everything was going great.. than I realized they only did one inside spray all season. They sprayed for mosquitos, but my granddaughter and myself still got ate up by their bites. Than on the last visit the man told me he'd be spraying both inside and out. I was helping my granddaughter at her virtual school work waiting for him to get finished outside to come inside when I looked out he was pulling off. Never came inside to spray. The only inside spray I received the entire season was the first time he came out. Well needless to say yesterday I found a American cockroach coming up from my sink drain. I was devastated, I canceled next seasons spray and will contact another company. I would give them no stars but it won't allow me. If I see anymore roach I will be calling the office and asking why I never received any more inside spraying besides the first initial visit they made. MAD AS HECK!!! read more

If I could give a 0 review I would . Prompt in 1 st visit and taking the money but they could have sprayed water for the effect it had . Called back 2 consecutive days to schedule a retreatment and never got a call back. The calls always go to the main Terminex line and they say they left multiple messages for the local office and there is nothing more they can do. Go with someone else . read more

Horrible - company does not stand by their work, and gives you the run around all the way from the initial inspection appointment to every extermination appointment .We selected Terminix for our bug problem. After our first treatment it was impossible to make additional appointments the New castle Delaware office was horrible never returning calls. After several bug treatments we did not see an improvement, it seemed to be getting worse which we brought to the technicians attention and eventually calling corporate about the job. We went to make an appointment and again could not get a call back so went higher which was the division service coordinator and was told our 90 days was up for the treatment, I told her that the bugs were not gone and she said we would have to set up a new inspection and they will give me a new quote, after initially paying over 1,000 for the first contract I had with Terminix. I feel this corporation is irresponsible and don't stand by there jobs, now we are stuck with a worse case of bugs , after searching my furniture, I found an infestation of bugs in my $3,000 couch, which we threw away , after a 90day extermination job that didn't work. Over the past several months I had issues with squirrels and other critters. I live in an end unit townhouse. Literally there have been several professional pest companies and roofing contractors inspecting any possible entry points and their proposal to eliminate the issue. It still continues, although reducing in hearing the noise in the attic. The proposals have been similar in price. I had Terminix come out and their proposal was $7100.00!!!!! I am a senior citizen however not a senile senior citizen. I point blanked asked if they offered other alternatives. Their response was a flat out NO. I have been trying to reach the local franchise owner to discuss again no response. DO NOT EVER CALL THEM FOR HELP. Based on all the information I have gathered from others I have made progress. You or someone has to inspect any possible entry points into your attic. Then you need to set up traps and cages baited with peanut butter or "Bait Block" from Home Depot or on line. After a long while the issue will disappear and you will save $7000.00! Go on vacation and enjoy! read more

When we first signed up for Terminix everything was great. The next year not so. Two weeks ago I called their central number. I assume it's a non-US call center. The person was very nice and the representative came to our home as stated. However, they had no idea about the issue. When my wife explained...he stated that he does not have a ladder to help and would call the main office for a follow up appointment and they would call me with a date. No call...two days ago I get a voicemail..."I am at your home and was told something about a wasp nest...please call me". I called and left a detailed message, no one knew that you were coming and we are now on trip number two with no service. I called the local number and I am routed to the central number. Today...I have to schedule another appointment via a remote call center. I understand the need to cut cost and outsource, but if I cannot explain the issue, get that relayed to the technician we are wasting more money with our gaps in the information exchange. So now we are waiting for the third appointment almost two weeks from now. read more

Soooo, about a year later they started calling to have someone come out in sales. Me being gullible, I agreed to re-establish services. WELL WELL TOO many times I've scheduled an appointment and NO ONE showed up or even called to say no one was coming In the fall of 2018. A couple months later they started calling again to set up an appt. I told them DO NOT CALL OR SEND ANYONE! I WILL CALL "YOU" when "I'M READY"." U know what's next... a RUDE @#$% TECH shows up and I told him I DID NOT CALL 4 AN APPT. I told him I'd call and 4 them to check their notes. The tech kept saying it wasnt him being EXTREMELY rude. I told him then you do whatever you want but I'm calling. While im on the phone he does it anyway. And when he's done he has me the pad to sign for services. I told him I'M NOT SIGINING ANYTHING BECUASE I TOLD TERMINIX DO NOT SEND ANYONE TO MY HOUSE. OF COURSE TECH WAS 100% MAD SO I PUT TERMINIX rep on speaker so I could hear their conversation. Well, they took money out of my checking account UNAUTHORIZED and wiil not return it. I've been calling them again for about a month now, District Mgr, Local Mgr, Consumer advocate on their Corp # with no responses.
