Called and scheduled 3rd appointment. Inspector didnt show up again. no phone no text nothing. called again for 4th appointment and they want to schedule next week with no assurance Inspector will show up then. Beware when they do attic inspection, they fraudulently make up stuff like rat infestation, to upsell you their attic restoration and exclusion services. They quoted me $18,000, and created a sense of urgency. When I hired a second opinion pest service they said I had no issues in my attic other than normal standard activity with mice. And now when I cancelled their services after 25 years of being a customer they are not even willing to prorate my quarterly payment that was made early this month. read more

Terminix Subject: Unauthorized termination of pest services by branch office Brief description: My pest services were terminated by the branch office without my knowledge or permission. I have tried to contact them repeatedly for an explanation but have received no response. Service address: 1015 Chelsea Pl Washington, IL Narration: As far as I know, the issues with Terminix began in late September 2023. I was accustomed to getting a phone call from the pest technician a couple of days before scheduled service to verify the time was ok. By Friday Sep 22, I had not received a call and called the Terminix 800 number and asked if they knew when I was scheduled for pest control service. They said it would be on Tuesday Sep 26, between 1 and 3. He also mentioned I could have an inspection at no charge, which I interpreted as an annual termite inspection. This was normally performed in either October or November anyway, so I agreed. It was scheduled between 2 and 4. On Tuesday Sep 26, no pest technician ever showed up but the inspector did show up around 3. His name was Paul Matusik. It became apparent that there was a miscommunication as to what my understanding was as to why he was here. He was very helpful in trying to help figure out why no pest technician had showed up. He talked to 2 different people with Terminix and I even got on the phone at one point, although I had no idea who I was talking to. While he was here he tried to help by bringing up my service contract number to figure out what was going on. He couldn't get anything. The only thing that came back relative to my name or address was the termite contract. Seeing that the whole situation was making me extremely distraught, he offered to e-mail the office (not sure exactly who) and ask them to look into the situation. He said someone would be calling me. No one called by the end of the day. The next day, Wednesday Sep 27, I got an e-mail from Terminix confirming that my request to terminate service had been processed. I called Paul and asked him what was going on here. At no time while he was here on Tuesday had anything, even remotely, been discussed about terminating service. I was at a complete loss as to how Terminix could say I requested a termination of service. He said it was out of his hands at that point and could do nothing, but would e-mail the office again asking them to contact me. Again, no one from Terminix contacted me. I then called the Terminix 800 number to get an explanation of what was going on. They offered no help, only to say the request to terminate service had come from the branch office and any further information would have to come from them. At that point I called Bud in the office and left a message on his phone. He returned my call on Thursday morning at 8:07 but I was not home due to a required election judge meeting. When I got home from that, shortly after noon, I tried calling him again, and again left a message. I also got another e-mail from Terminix Thursday morning stating my service had been terminated. I do not understand how Terminix could end service without contacting me to confirm this was, in fact, my request. There can be no documentation anywhere of this request because I never requested it. As of Friday Sep 7 I had not received any response to my situation or questions. At this point, here is what I am asking: Reinstatement of the original service contract with no penalties. This means you still owe me for pest service for September. As before, payment if full for the next year qualifies for a 5% discount. I am also protesting changing my technician. I would like Rick Hedger to be assigned to service my account. This is not an issue of skill - I assume all of your technicians are skilled. Rick knows the property, but most of all, I have built up trust over the 20+ years he has taken care of this account. The issue here is trust. read more

The whole experience has been unpleasant. The inspector that showed up to my house, when we were finishing up told me to sign here never saying that it was a 12 month contract. Still have a mouse a spider problem. Had to go out and buy spray and traps of my own anyway. Still waiting for the Peoria manager to call me back. I've called to cancel 3 times. The first 2 times they talked me into having someone come out. The third time they told me I'm going to have to pay a fee to cancel. I will continue to tell everyone I meet to never use this company. I'm still paying for a service that isn't serving my family. read more

i would not reccomend anyone to use peoria il terminix manager zack and consulant johnny they are awful i paid in full one day after the job was complete and for over 2 months i got past due notice by phone - that i ended up blocking and by mail, i sent copys of my payment but still ending up with past due notices i called zack and johnny over and over and neither one would bother to call me back. i would call the peoria number and would get flordia or nevada or what ever state they said someone would call me back in 24 to 48 hours and that never happened. to make it even worse the job i paid them to do was recontimated. so it is just like it was before i hired them. so please do not use this branch it is awful. i am totally displeased after paying $$$$$ for this job and i am right back at start one. read more

My issue is not with the technicians. My service had been great for years. I trusted My technician Rick Hedger. He was very customer oriented. He would text me to set up a time for him to come perform the services. He earned my trust and I would have no issue allowing him in my house while I'm not home. Then all of a sudden they sent a new technician. I would no longer receive a text to set up an appointment. Instead I'd get a message stating when they would arrive. The technicians did their job fine but I still preferred Rick. I called Terminix and requested Rick. Rick came back a couple more times but then they started sending a different technician again. I received a phone number for the manager Zach Ferguson and called multiple times and sent text messages. I got no response. I finally called the business and they put me in contact with Zach. He told me he had spoken with another employee and thought they had taken care of getting back with me. I asked to get Rick back as my technician and he told me he couldn't accommodate that. I informed him that Rick told me he would be happy to come back and provide my service. Zach stated that he couldn't because Rick asks for time off. He said if he accommodated my request he would have to accommodate the 60 others that asked. Sounds like they are giving Rick new customers and pawning his existing customers off to someone else. Like I said Rick had been my technician for probably 8 years. He was great. I can't say enough good things about him. However I can't say the same about Zach Ferguson. He lost a customer today. When I told him he was losing an 8 year customer he just said ok. Didn't attempt to change my mind at all. Guess they have too many customers and are making too much money. read more

While I love the service that we receive from our technician, the billing department need to get their s__t together. We just received a past due billing for March 1, 2020 service that was paid months ago. If this keeps up it's more of a headache than its worth to maintain an account with this company. read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. My parents have used them for years. I had an issue that needed to be addressed immediately. They were out the next day to inspect, then treating it the following day. I can't stress how professional all the staff was when they would call or arrive. They were very helpful.
