Strong service, fantastic food, good ambiance, and more await at Terra Nova. It is on the pricier end relative to other restaurants but otherwise, Terra Nova offers great meals. The Chicken Parm was delicious and very filling in terms of portion and cost relative to the rest of the menu.

Came here for a graduation dinner and overall, it was a good time. The vibe of the place is super cute, and it's definitely a great spot for bigger groups. The staff was honestly amazing--really friendly and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Drinks were well-priced and pretty solid. Nothing wild, but they tasted good and didn't break the bank. As for the food... I'm a little torn. The rest of my party liked it more than I did. The Brussels sprouts were good--crispy with this tasty sauce. But then that same sauce showed up on the skewers, and it just didn't hit the same way. The mussels were interesting--definitely different--but not really my thing. One nice touch: each entrée came with a salad, which I didn't expect but appreciated. If you're coming here with a group, it's a solid choice. Just maybe stick with the more straightforward dishes if you want a more consistent experience

Valentines dinner went well. Wife got the feature drink which was some sort of raspberry martini it was delicious. I stuck with a draft beer for appetiser we had shrimp tempura was delicious them or Andres come with a salad we got the house salad but there was no goat cheese the server explained it only comes if you order the large salad not as the salad with the entree but she got a side of goat cheese anyway which was nice for dinner she got the seafood Faletti a handkerchief pasta with a blush sauce It was delicious. I got the chicken and shrimp pasta. Diablo I love hot food. I love spicy. That's one was a level up. I ended up pulling five peppers out of it. I went through five glasses of water and a couple beers. It was still good just a little too hot for my liking. We got the crème brûlée for dessert. It was good.

I had heard of Terra Nova but had never been. My friend Jenn frequents a-lot and suggested it for my birthday eve pre dinner dancing night. Fellow Yelpers got the onion soup reviews right! One of the best and heartiest versions Ive had to date- exceptional!! Wow! I kept my meal light because my son and I had a big homemade beef nacho lunch. I opted for the Ahi Tuna - very good! Jenn had a Greek salad - she loves it - so big that she took a good half home. Gorgeous and huge restaurant, with super service! A bit pricey for me, but YOLO!

Terra Nova, is a great place for dinner, or to pick up some tasty appetizers when you just want to nosh like the three of us did last night. French onion soup had a delicious intensely flavored broth that I really enjoyed, the Mez plate, steamed edamame, and mussels in white sauce were all very good and we were happy with our selections. We are definitely coming back for dinner next time.

We made a reservation for 7 for a birthday dinner around the holidays. Our waitress was great, and I liked the cozy atmosphere in the corner we were seated in. We all really liked the butter and pesto that came with the fresh bread. All of our entrees came with a house salad that was different but tasty - it had some grapes in it. I had the chicken Terra nova - it was good - and I'd say it was very similar to a chicken parm dish. I also had a glass of Prosecco. We had my 6 year old with us, and I wasn't sure if they had a kid menu after looking through their site and other reviews - but they did! He had chicken fingers and fries. They had quite a few options on their kids menu.

Really had a wonderful time here for my first experience! It looks like there are some mixed reviews on the food, but the chicken carbonara and sushi we had were absolutely excellent. For a small town, this a great place to hang with friends, a family party, or a dinner date. It can fit any theme you fancy haha.

Had a great time with great food and atmosphere. Ask for Tom as your server! He was very personable and got me extra fruit to put in my black walnut manhattan!

As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted. I had a reservation for 3:30 but arrived early to see if they could seat us sooner--and they graciously accommodated us. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The service throughout our visit was amazing. Tom, our server, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic, and the peach drink (I only needed one!) was delicious. Overall, everything was great. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

Title: A 32-Year Legacy Tarnished by Toxic Leadership, Saved by Bella"…read more My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Italian Affair since its debut in July 1988 near the college apartments. For 32 years, we have admired the kind and attentive family-led atmosphere established by former owner Bruno, his sister Laura, and now her son Giuseppe, the current owner. However, our visit on May 30, 2026, was deeply distressing due to a host named Pinot, who represents the complete opposite of this community staple's values. From the start, Pinot was dismissive and rude. We were horrified to witness him openly berating and criticizing Caucasian employees in front of guests. This toxicity directly impacted our meal when Pinot instructed our server, BELLA, to hurry us along. When I mentioned feeling rushed, Bella nervously reassured us to take our time, but was reprimanded immediately after for doing so. We were told she had a 'family emergency,' but it was clear she had quit on the spot due to Pinot's unjustified actions. Furthermore, Pinot assigned busboys to watch us throughout our dinner as if we were a risk to 'skip out' on the bill, making us feel unwelcome in an establishment we've called home for decades. It was only after speaking with Giuseppe about Pinot's blatant ignorance that Bella was called back to complete our service. Despite the hostile environment created by the host stand, BELLA was EXTRAORDINARY AND ULTIMATELY SPECTACULAR. Her professionalism from start to finish truly saved our evening. Giuseppe, your legacy is being damaged by Pinot; please recognize that it is dedicated professionals like Bella who uphold the high standards your family has built over the last 35 years."

The Barnsboro Inn has been doing just that--more like a quarter of a millennium in restaurant years--and it wears that history well. Most of the place feels original, and that's a compliment. There's real charm here, the kind you can't fake or renovate into existence. I actually planned my visit around seeing that charm before the crowd took over, which tells you how popular this spot is. I got there at 3:50 on a Monday. Doors opened at 4. I was the first customer through the door. By 4:38, the place was packed--shoulder to shoulder, people standing, the room buzzing. That kind of turnout doesn't happen by accident. Food-wise, I went with the roadhouse wings. They're half wings, which I don't usually love, but these were solid--meaty, well-cooked, and full of flavor. No gimmicks, just done right. That theme seems to run through the whole place. The Barnsboro Inn feels lived-in, loved, and very much alive. It knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. I'll definitely be back.

However, I was disappointed to find out there was no soup of the day just french onion and their matzah. Service was prompt and friendly, which you always want when you dine out. Well that was until we were encouraged to leave because reservations were coming in (We had finished dining And we're just conversing so it was not that troublesome that we were basically told we had a couple of minutes to get out of the restaurant.).
