Absolutely delicious drinks & great atmosphere. My husband & I shared a few appetizers & they were all so good. The bada bang was my absolute favorite! I wish I could remember the server's name but she as very attentive even though she was clearly very busy. Plenty of lot parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. I came her for a baby shower which was in the outside area. Very nice set up with perfect seating (plenty of room). I could not recommend the happy hour enough! We had the lemoncelli martini and margaritas, both were very delicious. Their wood fired pizza is also a must, it's a great deal for $8. We topped it off with their green goddess salad, I've also had the winter Waldorf salad, which is equally great. The perogies were unremarkable, however and a bit soggy. Finally made it to the Cinder Bar on a sunny Memorial Day and came away pleased with the experience. It was a perfect day to sit outside to enjoy an early dinner (Happy hour prices were in place so that a bonus!). Service was good and we were made to feel welcome as we walked in. The outdoor patio was ideal for our "late lunch/early dinner." The pierogi's were fluffy perfection enhanced by the caramelized onions. My LEMON PEPPER CHICKEN SANDWICH was delicious and the chicken cooked perfectly. My partner's 'Summer Dew' salad was really good. This is our go to place when visiting back home! It's always super busy so you have to make sure you go at a good time. There's always a game playing and the place gets a bit loud but it's such a fun atmosphere! The menu is pretty big so you definitely have to take some time to look it over! Also, the dishes come out as they are ready so don't expect to get your food all at once. Over the past few times we've went we have ordered the Philly Dilly pizza, chilaquiles borrachos, cannoli stuffed French toast and the Nutella crepes. The Philly Dilly is our MUST every time we visit! We love the crust on the pizza because it's cooked in the wood burning oven which gives it a unique taste. The flavors of the pickles and the sauce go so good! The Chilaquiles is HUGE! We shared it and still couldn't finish it! The flavors all melted together so well! The salsa was delicious! The cannoli French toast and the crepes were also very good but we prefer the chilaquiles over both of them. If you like a sweeter brunch then definitely go for the French toast and the crepes! We've tried other small plates as well such as the pierogies, the bada bang shrimp, ricotta meatballs, and steamed edamame; all of those were excellent too! Have been here a few times and each visit I see a dish going to another table I have to come back for. Tried the short rib poutine, chicken and waffles, some wild seasonal grilled cheese(definitely miss that place in collingswood)... well last night I finally tried the wood fired pizza. Roast pork Italiano wood fired pizza. Unbelievable. Actually had to do eeny meany miney mo to figure out which one to get. It was frikkin amaze-balls. I'm a Delco native so I thought I had made a mistake getting a roast pork anything on this side of the river, but my mistake was waiting this long to try it. No shortage of sports on like 18 big tee-vees. Sat in the heated tent outside cause the place is slammed all the time. Definitely get on the wait list before you go. Once you have a table they take great care of you and with the quickness, though. Already can't wait to try the pizzas I didn't land on, this trip. read more

Me and my 2 other friends went out to eat tonight. Immediately didn't feel welcome. Our server didn't bother to check on us until 20 minutes after our drinks came out. We were there for 45 minutes before we even got our food and the food was pretty bad. She didn't ask us how the food was or if we needed anything. I had to go up to the hostess stand twice to ask for napkins and silverware since the server was gone for 10 minutes when I asked for them the first time. The second time was when we waited 20 minutes for 2 boxes and the check so I went up once again and asked for our server because she was nowhere to be found. So not only was the food not good, the service was even worse. Please do better as a restaurant. read more

Made the mistake of giving this location another chance by doing a To-Go order... haven't gone since I had some negative experiences. My friend used to work at the Sickerville one so she picked Cinder Bar and volunteered to pick it up. Then they messed up our order twice at one pick up. Second time our order was handed to my friend, we didn't get the truffle fries that are extra $$. Vegan cheesesteak had less "meat" than normally. Waited about 30 minutes after our pick up order window for it to still be incorrect. I ordered the regular cheesesteak with no onion and there are bits of red and green on the sandwich.. Had to leave due to a time constraint instead of waiting for them to fix it again. Go somewhere else... and apparently the other location is better but take that with a grain of salt. read more

We were in town and met friends at Cinder Bar for dinner. They have a great Happy Hour so I definitely suggest popping in early to catch some of it! Drink and food specials! We ordered some drinks and small bites from the HH menu and ordered dinner as well. Our table got pizza, salad, a sandwich and the salmon dish. Everything looked and tasted wonderful and the portions were large. I'm not sure any of us finished our plates! They also had live music which was great, it thankfully didn't make it too loud inside either and were sitting pretty close to the music. I wish I lived closer so I could visit again! read more

The blood orange margarita is consistently great. The margherita pizza is a staple, along with the cheesesteak egg rolls. This time, I tried the short rib poutine and I absolutely loved it. Ok so Cinder Bar gives me mixed feeling. We dined in and the pizza and calzone are brick oven, and delicious! The pierogi are house made, and mushy, no crisp edges just blah. The decor and service were great. I enjoyed the pizza and calzone so much, we ordered take out a couple days later. Now here is the issue, we picked up our food and drove the 5 minutes home and everything was cold. The pizza was limp and the calzone cold all the way through. I sent an email, as I ordered through their website. A manager contacted me immediately and arranged to have the order remade free of charge the following day. I provided her a time and I went ten minutes early, to my surprise and disappointment the food was ready and we had the same experience as the day before. Everything was cold. I appreciate the restaurant trying again, but I would avoid take out here and stick to dine in. read more

After being contacted by Cinder Bars management team, I decided to give them another shot. We went again, and this time it was better, but only slightly. I don't know man, I really want Cinder Bar to succeed, but it just seems to not be able to get out of it's own way. There are just a few things out of whack here that stop it from being a go-to spot. First, even though the last time I came, it was Monday at 6pm, and pretty dead, this time, on a Monday at 6pm, it was PACKED. Not a spot to park. After circling the lot a few times, we caught someone leaving and took their spot and headed inside. We were sat fast actually though, and got to looking over the menu. The first thing that needs to change, IMHO, is the menu. This is, for all intents and purposes, a bar and grill, yet there is ONE, count it, ONE burger on the entire menu. I even asked the waitress, and she confirmed. (More on her later.) The menu is just weird. It seems like Cinder Bar is trying to punch above it's weight class. It is a nice sports bar with aspirations of being a fine dining establishment. It's odd that the same place with cheesesteak eggrolls and woodfire pizzas, also has heirloom carrot crostinis and tom yum mussels. Although, this probably explains why there is only one burger option. And again, a pane & ricotta is "ricotta cheese, orange-vanilla honey, fresh herbs, crostini," but a chicken tenders meal doesn't even come with dipping sauce. AND, according to the MENU, there is a childrens chicken tender meal, but not an ADULT chicken tender meal, except THERE IS, and the difference is ONE additional tender at the cost of FOUR ADDITIONAL DOLLARS! A single chicken tender will raise your meal from $7 to $11. The second thing is the service. It's not BAD by any stretch, but it seems that the waitresses think that being really pretty is enough. Our waitress was very nice, but wasn't really present or helpful. Again, not bad service, just very superficial service. For the most part, we had to chase down our server when we needed something. The food was brought out by runners, so we were halfway done before our first check in. I'm just confused as to why Cinder Bar just won't lean in to the "slightly upscale pub" kind of thing it's got going. You wood fire your pizzas....go with that. Do BAR FOOD, WELL, and get away from the "umami tuna poke bowls" dotting the menu. I thank the management for inviting me back, and I'm sure I'll find myself at Cinder Bar at SOME point in the future, but I just don't see it ever cracking my Top Recommended list any time soon. read more

So I've been here twice now and I'm digging it. The inside is set up really well. I like the large bar in the middle. The servers are all very attentive. It's annoying they don't do reservations but whatever. The food is pretty good but some of their stuff is straight up over priced. The cheese pizza is like $18 and it's JUST CHEESE like no sauce. Big fan of CB on Cross-Keys- tried this one out, get sat in the "heated porch" (big mistake- freezing) and then- nothing. No one comes to the table for maybe 15 minutes. Other couples were sat and had food before we even got water. Twice I went to the hostess station and pointed out the table, and asked what gives, and twice they assured me that someone was on it and would be right over. 15 actual minutes elapsed before I was able to place a drink order. After that it wasn't so bad but I am definitely sticking with Cross-Keys. The food is always great though, comeon. read more

This place is super fun inside, great place to go and watch sports. Ive gone twice and the first time was during the week and it was dead, our service sucked. The second time was a busy Friday night and the service was way better. First time I went I got the short rib poutine fries which I recommend, they were sooo good! We also got the truffled short rib pizza which was also good, I dont eat pizza a lot so I wouldn't be the best judge. My boyfriend loves pizza and thought it was good. Also got an order of the Korean bbq wings and the flavor was strange, but the wings themself were cooked great though. Second time I went I got the poutine fries again and an order of the wood fired brussels sprouts, they had great flavor and the portion size was big! Time for an update! It's now post Covid and there have been changes. Daily specials and a decent happy hour have become a convenient option for dinner. There is now a permanent burger on the menu and it's pretty decent. Generally speaking, the menu has improved enough that I can recommend for an occasional visit. The small plates on the happy hour are a good value. I recently had the pizza turnover and it was pretty great. The pizzas are good, but I prefer lower moisture crusts with less of a flop. The poutine is great and fries that come with several menu options are decent. I wish there were some better daily drink specials for every day of the week, so there can always be a good value on a beer if you can't make it there during happy hour. Service is always fine. Attention observers and friendly bartenders. The atmosphere is always decent also. Nicely decorated seasonally and a modern look/feel. Just beware of the crazy parking in that shopping centers. Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised by both the food & service at this hopping SJ restaurant with full bar and reasonable prices (given 2022). It's almost in the middle of nowhere but this place was packed at 7m on a Saturday night with a waitlist. I used the Yelp app to join waitlist from home & the time they estimated before seating was pretty accurate. We left home 15 minutes ahead of of time, checked in and only waited another 10 mins tops before being seated. It was really useful and a good start. We ordered the deviled eggs, beet salad, mussels and the chicken breast entree. It was all tasty. No complaints and fast, friendly service. I wouldn't recommend for an intimate romantic type dinner since it was a large open space and very busy. But for a fun night out or quick snacks at the bar, definitely would go again. read more
