My fault in the first place for ever thinking that ordering a steak from an Italian restaurant was smart. 40 dollars for this... absolutely embarrassing, no sear at all, no flavor. I just think it's disappointing and insane to 1 charge that price and 1 not cook it properly at all. I asked for medium rare, some parts were close to medium rare others weren't. Yes I cut it right away to see how it was cooked. Overall for a restaurant with 4.4 reviews this is very disappointing to say the least. The broccoli rabe was very lackluster as well. I don't like putting places down, but to charge 40 bucks for something like that is just a RIP OFF.

Delicious food. They also have entertainment on Saturday nights . The wait staff are very helpful and pleasant. Will be going here again

First time to Tuscan Bistro, it was highly recommended to go with a larger group. Called ahead and made reservations, they were great - they called to confirm same day. We arrived and our reservation was set and ready for us. Our waitress was very attentive. We order appetizers and a few entrees to share. Food was delicious! The entrees come with soup AND salad. You get basket of bread. We started off with calamari & clams. We had chicken noodle soup, chicken escaroles and Pasta fagioli. Salads were typical side salad. We ordered the pork chop rice and asparagus special, chicken parm (selection of pasta) & shrimp scampi and a kids meatball & penne.

Went to Tuscan Bistro for the first time. We ordered the calamari and small house special pizza. I give the pizza a 5 star, it was very tasty and a nice crunchy crust! The calamari were tender and good as well. We ordered the pasta bolognese and pasta carbonara. They were both ok compared to the pizza. The bolognese sauce was a bit sweet for me and the pasta was over done, not Al dente. It did come with complimentary toasted bread. The lobster ravioli was also just ok. The steak Stromboli was good. The desserts were also just ok. The service was very poor. The waitress did not remember anything. I specifically asked her to remove the green peppers from the pizza and she didn't do it. She seemed a bit spacey if you ask me. Something was not right with her. Nevertheless, I will definitely go back for their pizza!

Went for lunch and had the whole place to ourselves. Noticed that they did do a fair share of pickup/delivery. Started with the Italian chicken soup. Which was okay. Thought the potatoes were a different touch The crispy chicken was done perfectly thin, crunchy and yet still moist inside. The Buffalo sauce was sweeter then I like it but still good. The salad itself was made up of all iceberg lettuce. Would have liked it with some other lettuce options or additions. The veal francese had a nice flavor but was overly breaded, the flour breading was twice as think as the veal cutlet.

100% will definitely return and recommend. Carbonara - the best carbonara I have has in South Jersey. Zuppa de Pescatore - it was good, but needed a bit more seasoning for my taste. Tiramisu - one of the best I've had. Cappuccino - my only complaint is that it was a little cold Ambiance - very elegant, and it's a nice place to have a quiet meal. Service - our server was very nice and cordial, but service was a little slow. The owner was very hands-on. We appreciated the very personal approach. The owner was very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately this was a working lunch so had to have raspberry tea. It wasn't bad. May have had two. Yep I did. I ordered us a candied bacon to start and then I had the tuna poke salad. The bacon was delicious but some was a bit charred. I still ate it cause it was delicious just a bit charred on the ends . Now the Tuna poke salad was interesting. Not a typical poke bowl. Very tasty and yes it and the bacon filled me up. The rice said it was a coconut rice. Well it is. I tasted in the first bite and it was pleasantly different. Service was great just soft spoken. Too many years around construction equipment other things that don't help hear in a restaurant. I would love to come back in the evening so I could enjoy one of their list of adult beverages. Next time I will try and not stay away so long.

We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

I stuck with my usual two eggs, which were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My fiancée ordered the Pretty Toast, their take on French toast, topped with cream cheese, pecans, and sweetened peaches. It honestly reminded me of peach cobbler! It's one of those dishes you could enjoy for breakfast, brunch, or even as a sweet snack. The food was a solid 10/10. Our server, Ben, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. He took the time to tell us a little about the menu and even suggested we try something different. Looking back... I probably should have listened! The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and inviting. Title: A 32-Year Legacy Tarnished by Toxic Leadership, Saved by Bella"…read more My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Italian Affair since its debut in July 1988 near the college apartments. For 32 years, we have admired the kind and attentive family-led atmosphere established by former owner Bruno, his sister Laura, and now her son Giuseppe, the current owner. However, our visit on May 30, 2026, was deeply distressing due to a host named Pinot, who represents the complete opposite of this community staple's values. From the start, Pinot was dismissive and rude. We were horrified to witness him openly berating and criticizing Caucasian employees in front of guests. This toxicity directly impacted our meal when Pinot instructed our server, BELLA, to hurry us along. When I mentioned feeling rushed, Bella nervously reassured us to take our time, but was reprimanded immediately after for doing so. We were told she had a 'family emergency,' but it was clear she had quit on the spot due to Pinot's unjustified actions. Furthermore, Pinot assigned busboys to watch us throughout our dinner as if we were a risk to 'skip out' on the bill, making us feel unwelcome in an establishment we've called home for decades. It was only after speaking with Giuseppe about Pinot's blatant ignorance that Bella was called back to complete our service. Despite the hostile environment created by the host stand, BELLA was EXTRAORDINARY AND ULTIMATELY SPECTACULAR. Her professionalism from start to finish truly saved our evening.
