Enjoyed a night of karaoke with DJ U Know after seeing so many posts and videos about it on social media. Hadn't intended on ordering any food, but did grab some catfish for me and ordered fries but they never came. The catfish, however was top notch and delicious and made for a great sandwich for next day lunch. Lol My Washington apple had an odd taste, but the maker's on the rocks was great! The Good: Ample parking, nice ambiance, and pleasant customer service. Ordered wings which were very good and flavorful. Lobster Mac and cheese was okay. It's definitely different from your regular Mac and cheese. There wasn't much cheese but more of a buttery/oily and garlic base. It was good but it's not your typical Mac and cheese. The crab cakes were very good. Plenty of crab meat with little if any filler. Lastly the crab fries were okay. I'm not much of a steak fries person so that's why I personally cannot co-sign for this one. There was plenty of crab and these cheese that comes with it is more of queso cheese; very thick. The two drinks ordered, the sangria was decent. As described in the menu it tasted exactly like red wine mixed with some juice blends. The henny punch was okay. Needed to let the server know that there wasn't much of a Hennessy taste in the drink however that was rectified without any issue. Definitely worth a try. My cousin found this restaurant on Yelp's website so we decided to try it out. Everything we ordered was great! The Sweet potato muffins were so moist and delicious...never heard of them before! The catfish, oysters, shrimp and grits and the drinks were amazing! Small establishment but worth the wait, if you have to. I really like the vibe here, the customer service was cool it's a small restaurant/bar. I've been there once to eat in and I've taken out three times. Great food in a great atmosphere! Tuesday was Taco Tuesday, and they had karaoke going on. Our server, Lala, was so sweet. The bartenders were definitely not stingy with the alcohol in the mojitos. We tried sweet potato cornbread, which was served with icing. Tasted like a cinnamon roll and very moist on the inside. The star of the show was definitely the seafood with pasta. Fettuccine topped with a bunch of crab legs, clams, and shrimp. I'm typically not a seafood person, but everything was so well seasoned and had so much flavor I couldn't resist. My friend had her birthday get together in February at the Sea Bar new location. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing music playing in the background. At the bar you can see two large size televisions showing sports. Our food came out hot. I ordered the salmon meal and stuffin muffins. What a great place! If you're in the area and want a cozy, romantic setting, Sea Bar II is perfect. It's dark and on the quieter side earlier in the evening. They had a DJ setting up as we were leaving, so they have live music as well. We ordered shrimp cocktail, surf and turf, and stuffed salmon and all were cooked to perfection with beautiful presentation. Travel with me down south to Black-owned restaurant, Sea Bar 2 Grill & Spirits located in Sicklerville, New Jersey for fresh catches of seafood cuisine. I met up with Michelle, a friend who's just as obsessed with food and beauty as me! We stepped into a marnie dream with blue lights and oceanic decor. The host warmly greeted us and led us to a reserved table in a cozy corner. A few moments later, Lala, our server came over with owner Kalieb Bey. Kalieb is an entrepreneur and chef, plus a hairstylist! He insisted he whip up something special for Michelle and I to eat, so we ordered drinks and soaked in the atmosphere. There was karaoke that night, and we watched guests go up belting their hearts out to soulful jams. A few minutes into our conversation about recent travels, our cocktails arrived! I ordered a Coconut Mojito and Michelle the Peach Mojito. The Coconut Mojito was robust in flavor: creamy, sweet, with a minty hint. I should have been sipping it, poolside, with my sunnies on! The Peach Mojito was fresh and juicy, reminiscent of Georgia summers by the lake house. These cocktails packed a punch and I started to feel the rum instantly. Thankfully, our food came out to remedy this. And remedy it did, the Sweet Potato Corn Muffins. At first glance, they appear unsuspecting. Small and dusted with powdered sugar, innocent enough. When I bit into the muffin, it reminded me of an upscale cinnamon roll but with sweet potato! The decadent muffin glistened with butter, blessing my mouth with warm spices and a smile. The glaze on top sealed the deal, I licked my fingers as Michelle commented how she was excited to see what was next. If this appetizer lured us under a foodie spell, what else was in store? Shrimp & Jumbo Lump Crab Scampi was on the dinner table and oh my, what a sight to behold. The aroma of spices, butter, and a whole lotta love circled our noses. I could have sworn, we were transported to New Orleans with the amount of seafood on the plate. The shrimps had a seasoned, slightly spicy, and smoky flavor from being grilled. Plus they were huge, which is always a win in my seafood scoresheet. I'm not a huge fan of mussels but when I took a bite into these, I became a convert. Like with the shrimp, these mussels were seasoned to the heavens. For the star of the show: the crab legs. Michelle and I had a blast cracking the shells for the meat, and my god, the meat was sweet! Never before had I had sweet crab legs and I need more ASAP. Lastly the pasta was delicious and gave a little carb vibe between our seafood feast. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we, of course, ordered some Shrimp Tacos. These tacos came with seasoned rice (yummmmmm) and of course the tacos. Soft shelled, seasoned shrimp with a hint of spice that made my mouth water. What's not to love about a good taco? I took some to-go and ate it the next day. I am honestly very disappointed. I especially try to support small businesses and definitely Black owned businesses. Well, what went wrong? The food is overpriced in my opinion however beyond the price, it was oily/greasy and very salty. The customer service was sarcastic and dismissive. I ordered take out and over the phone they said it would be ready in 25 minutes if not sooner. Upon arriving I noticed balloons and dance music playing. As I attempted to approach the door to pay for my food, a man outside put his hands up and asked if he could help me. I said yes Im picking up my food. he pointed telling me to go to another door because there was a private party happening. I said okay no problem thanks. I go to the other door and its locked. I look at the same man who is talking to people outside. He notices and says whats wrong and I say the doors locked. He responds saying whats the name on the order and I say Rhonda. He says okay they will be right out. Now Im annoyed as I purposely waited 35 minutes before arriving & I still had to wait . I guess he notices that Im annoyed and says whats the problem. I respond the problem is Id like to pay for my food and leave. He says, " Well, they're bagging it up do you want them to bring it out without bags?" What? The young man finally comes out I pay for my food which is shrimp scampi, salad and banana pudding cheesecake. All in brown paper bags. I pay for the food and Walk away already annoyed at the fact that I had to wait outside after being told it would be ready. I get to my car and notice grease all over my hand and the bag. Now Im really annoyed. Why is there grease all over the bottom of the bag which got in my car?Why was my food not already correctly bagged and ready? Why was I not informed when I placed my order , that I would have to wait outside upon arrival? My food was so greasy and salty that I couldn't eat it. I do not care about the private party. This was an excellent surprise. We decided to try something new and went here on a Friday night. Didn't realize they had music and Rich was amazing. He can sing any genre of music. This place is a hidden gem, the service was good and the waiter was very helpful. The ambiance was very low lit with a romantic kinda vibe. I had the flounder and grits, the fish was fried to perfection, crunchy on the outside but very moist in the inside. The grits were a little too runny in my opinion but that's a personal preference, I like mine a little more on the stiffer side. The grits were cheesy and kings sweet but still good. Went in for date night The vibe was cool. Customer service was great. Food was great ( that we got on time) Honestly, the biggest but most important was timing. We had reservations at 6. By 8 pm still didn't receive our food & was forced for it to be packed for takeout- our entree. We ordered 2apps and 3 entrees. Would have been nice if they offered a drink on the house or something. We went to try their seafood at this new seafood establishment in Williamstown NJ. We called and they were book but the owner squeezed a table for two at 2pm: he had my name reserved table when we arrived and he called me out by name to welcome me. Very friendly. The place is very small with a few tables. Mostly delivery and Togo: everything on the menu is seafood with the exception of chicken wings. We had the seafood bisque and hock was very good. We also like the fresh French fries. The whiting fried fish was good but mushy. I would have like the batter crispier. The bang Shrimp was nice size and tasty: I was not a fan of their freaking clams. They were not fresh and were very chewy. The calamari was nice and soft and tasty but I was expecting more of a marinara sauce which is wasn't. The service was not the best. Even though they were friendly we had to ask them for silverware, napkins and plates. They also never came back to ask us for more refills on our water. You could get full off of the appetizers alone. Although it's hard to choose which was my favorite...that sweet potato muffin with that glaze was EVERYTHING! We had a wonderful dining experience at Sea Bar and would recommend. My only issue was the service was not the best and the timing of our food was off - I received my main entree, 5 mins later we received our appetizer, 10 mins later my mom received her main entree and 15 mins after that my sister finally received her main entree. My mom and I were both finished our meals before my sister even received hers. Not sure if the kitchen serves food on a rolling basis as it's prepared but I would have preferred to have known so I could have requested they all be brought out together. Regardless the food was EXCELLENT- my sisters was actually the best - her crab cake sliders were to die for!!! We also got the real crab fries for an appetizer and they were amazing. The seafood is fresh and the crabcakes were ALL jumbo lump crabmeat - no filler - and huge even though they were smaller sliders. We had the Banging Shrimp (appetizer) & the Stuffed Salmon (main course). For us, the serving size was more than enough. Janice our server was great.
