I joined the membership knowing I was going to get multiple facials and massages every month. I'm also a pretty good tipper. The last massage I had when I brought my husband in was a little off putting at check-in. They asked my husband medical questions out loud in front of everyone, "have you ever been diagnosed with cancer" was one of them, clearly they don't need to follow HIPAA laws. But I let it go assuming they didn't have to follow these laws and I'm not one to cause a seen a make a fuss in public. This morning I woke up with an awful cough and didn't think it was appropriate to go to my massage appt and possibly get everyone sick. So I called to cancel my appt. Delilah answered and I explained the situation, and with zero empathy and zero concern she stated "ok, I'm going to charge your card on file half of the service" is that ok? My answer..."no", I assumed there would be a cancellation fee, but half?? Absolutely not, so I said I'll just come in sick then, and she responded ok we'll see you at noon. I hung up the phone in absolute shock. Did that really just happen? They want me to come in sick possibly infecting their employees and customers that might be there?
