I came in unannounced and it was great. In and out, no appointments needed or required. The barbers have lots of experience and you can tell they have been there for a bit. I forgot the name of the person who cut my hair but did a great job. I showed him a picture and he gave me what I was looking for. I was hoping to experience or the shop to be like the Movie The Barbershop but it was not to my disappointment . They are very professional but easy going. I could not find the store and I realized that are next to the Insurance company and the Mediterranean food. read more

Great haircut. Nice people. They will wear a mask if you ask, but not all barbers had one on, and no other customers. I think they are trying to balance their good ol' boy clientele who are anti-mask with those who are taking precautions re: Covid-19. I felt respected by the staff but did not feel safe with multiple people talking indoors without masks. Guess we are back to home haircuts for now. read more

I was in Atlanta for a month for training and needed a hair cut before I left town. This looked like some good ol' boys from the outside and it really was. Oddly I got my haircut from a lady with dark hair and eyes and she is better than the place i go to in my hometown! I'm ready to move to the A just for this barber shop. The one bad thing I have to say is I paid $25 for a cut, beard trim, neck shave, and tip. I guess that's why they have two $$ on yelp. Highly recommend! read more

This level of attention and service is all but a myth in most cases, a page ripped from a story of days gone by. Dean takes the helm at Chair 1, doling out your requests in meticulous detail. One feels more like a member of an extended family, rather than a head of cattle being rushed out the door to make way for the next side of beef. Best way to describe this place is this is your dads barber shop. For $20 a cut you will get a better cut than say great clips, but they can't do today's men's styles very well. They will tell you they are the best at fading and that no other barber does a good job, but that's definitely not true. I came in and asked for a tight fade and I got a normal fade. When I asked him if he could fade it shorter, the guy said he has to charge me for a 2nd cut instead of fixing what he didn't do correctly in the first place. Also, he cut over an inch off the top of my head when I asked him not to cut it short. If you are looking for a basic white men's haircut for $20 then you will be ok here, but if you want a true barber to style you then this isn't it. 3 stars bc it's just average. read more

These guys are real barbers and seasoned pros - not fresh out of school like the cheap supercuts places. No appointment necessary and usually no wait. Wow. So I joined yelp just to post a review here. I'm not a big "hair" guy, and barbers usually avoid me... I have ton of it. But I searched "haircut" in my area and found this place. Walked in, was seated right away, and received the best haircut of my life. The lady who cut my hair had an accent and I didn't get her name, but she had the gentlest touch ever, I almost forgot I was having my hair cut while I was in there. The service was fast, fantastic, and the price was right. I've been to a few different hair places in the area, and now I will go to no other. Wow, I just realized I hadn't finished my review for this place back from 2012. I got my hair cut here (next to Fuddruckers, Schlotzsky's, and Subway) when I was sportin' a buzz and was extremely satisfied with the service. As a female, I felt a little hesitant walking into a barber catered (mostly) to men, but once inside my concerns were alleviated. My husband and I both have both been getting our hair cut by Dean for just over a decade now. As a female, I don't feel the slightest bit uncomfortable when I walk in the door. I'm almost 6' tall, and my hair is practically to my bum -- it's also very thick and is naturally wavy. I trust Dean with my hair, and I ALWAYS walk out with a straight trim! Always does a great job and the place feels like a throwback to the days when you got caught up on the town's news with Floyd. For years I have wanted to find a place to get my hair cut that I would go back to and not have to worry about what was going to happen. I have been here about five times, and each time they do a great job. I get a simple buzz cut that cost $17. They have a good attention to detail when it comes to cutting hair, I don't get all the random long hairs like I would if i went to a cheaper place.
