It was a long wait in line despite many open tables. The host and waitress were friendly and answered questions we had. It took about 40 minutes to receive our food. I had the Seafood Combo Platter and it tasted ok. The seafood tasted dry and bland. This meal used to be good in the past but they changed a lot over the years. The shrimp etouffee tasted really really delicious! It has Cajun flavor with a little spice and cream melted on my tongue. The rice could've been softer, it tasted a little hard. Even though we had the nonsmoking table area, we could still cigarette smoke smell was still pretty strong. If you do eat here, I recommend the Ribeye Steak. The Ribeye Steak is the most expensive meal on the menu but it's worth it. It also comes with 3 free side items. We were really full and the price is not bad for the amount of food you get. I give them five stars because on the date that we were there they were the only place open that had a decent breakfast due to Covid and recent storms several other places that I have eaten at in the area were not available to us and this place was the highlight of our trip as we were there for my husband's birthday because he wanted to go there to play golf however the trip was a bust the golf course was not up to par and this was the only place available to eat. had there been someplace else that actually had a cooked breakfast that consisted of something more than a breakfast taco or a sandwich I would've preferred to go someplace else because this place unfortunately is attached to the casino and the casino smells like a big nasty ashtray so the restaurant smells like a big nasty ashtray however the food was absolutely wonderful so if you don't mind the cigarette smoke and you happen to be inside that casino it is an awesome place to eat at least it is for breakfast . My husband and I had the fried pork chops and eggs they were absolutely wonderful and I didn't even have to send my eggs back they were cooked correctly the first time . We finished it off with the beignets. ( why would you ever go to Louisiana and not get beignets) Also our waitress was awesome. read more

This place is usually my go to when at the casino. Although this is one of the cheaper eats in the casino, prepare for snail like service. The food quality is decent, but if you wish to have an adult beverage with your meal expect a wait as they have to find someone of age to walk to the middle of the casino to get your drink due to being mostly staffed with under aged wait staff and they do not stock alcohol in the cafe. But overall, this cafe is ok and I will continue to eat here when in town. read more

I thought the price (around $15 with tip) was fair for the amount of food you got. I ordered a pork chop with sweet potato fries and the vegetable of the day. The pork chops were nice-sized and very tender. The sweet potato fries were quite better than I expected; However, I had asked about the vegetable of the day and they had told me it was a mixed vegetable medley and it actually turned out to be black-eyed peas. The hostess did a great job of managing the super long line of people that were coming out of the restaurant to pay (along with to-go orders like mine), although they clearly have multiple stations setup there and should be using them because the foot traffic in and out of this place is pretty steady and at times the line exceeded 15 people with only one person working the register. The host stand was equally under-staffed, but servers would pitch in and greet/seat customers to alleviate the line. read more

When we sat down, the first thing that my husband and I noticed is that they had new menus and the prices were higher. While the some of the food is not awful, it is not worth the prices currently being charged. Also, the tea tasted rather strange .... definitely not fresh brewed. My daughter stated that the macaroni & cheese and the black-eyed peas that came with her chicken fried steak tasted rather weird. She said the chicken fried steak and the fried okra (although rather bland) were fairly good. My husband had chicken fried steak, dirty rice, green beans, and fried okra. He stated that it was okay. The waitress, Seri, was very nice and very willing to please. Requested pickles and onions for the hamburger in addition to the tomato, lettuce, and cheddar cheese. She also asked if I wanted mayonnaise and that was affirmative, so she brought mayonnaise to our table. The hamburger was decent, but the fries appeared to have been sitting under a heat lamp for a bit ... not the best. The waitress was excellent. She waited on us immediately after we were seated. (We waited a few minutes for a table which was fine, because it was lunchtime ... close to noon). We waited a while for our food to come out of the kitchen ... seemed a little on the slow side. The best part of our lunch was the waitress. Seri was very pleasant and did everything she could to serve us (and other customers) well. When we went to the cashier to pay, there was a couple in front of us attempting to pay for their lunch and there seemed to be some type of technical/software problem. Sort of felt bad for the couple as they stood there and waited while the cashier and one of the managers discussed the problem. But, then, I had to hide my annoyance because we were also waiting ... and we wanted to beat the 5 o'clock traffic. I did not want to add to the cashier's upset (because I have been on the other side of the counter before myself). All in all, we decided that we will not be eating at the Terrace Café again. We just were not impressed. (But, yes, we left Seri a $10.25 tip. The bill was $51.00 (not including the tip). read more

This cafe does serve packaged institutional food. For ex: the chicken fried steak was a neatly formed circle. The mashed potatoes was a neatly formed circle as well.
