Solidly ok. Not anything to write home about, but it's a cute area and it was a nice place to sit after a day of traipsing through the tulips. We had two beers, two root beers, three pizzas, and baba ganoush. Don't be surprised, it's not the cheapest place on the block, since all of that came to $110. But the pizza was decent and the baba ganoush was fine. The beers....well, we did an experimental thing, where two pale ales were brewed exactly the same, just with different hops. While it was a fun thing to try, the beers themselves didn't blow me away. The pizza had some funky combos, and my meat one was definitely the best of the three, though not the best I've ever had. I've never seen a margherita with cherry tomatoes, and that was probably the least good one. The First Date was interesting, but we should have added some protein. Again, it was a fine go-to after walking miles in the fields. They have really cute branding and good to-go options. Parking was fine (we were on the street a block or two up) but it was also a Friday and we were playing hooky. It's not something I'd make it a point to go to again, but if I were in the area it would not be the worst choice to make. read more

Tried the speakeasy yesterday and it was very well received. The atmosphere was so nice with comfy couches and chairs. We were a fairly big part so we had to jimmy rig a table to accommodate but it was well worth it. The service was stellar and very tentative. The drinks were amazing and the offerings were plenty!! I stopped here after hiking Oyster Dome to grab a drink and was generally pleased with the place. It was a little hard to find because GPS thought it was located somewhere else and the streets are a little confusing if you're not familiar. However, when we found it, there was plenty of parking which is always a good thing. Upon entry, there is a touch less hand sanitizer station and single use menus and all employees are wearing masks. You order at the counter, grab your drinks at the bar and then any food is brought to you. The interior of the restaurant is pretty open and allows for social distancing, but the patio is pretty limited. If you're looking for outdoor seating (which we were), you may end up sitting a little closer to other patrons than you might want to. I can't comment on the food since I didn't eat here, but I saw other people eating pizzas that looked delicious. Pricing is reasonable and they have a good variety of beers and ciders. read more

This was an incredible place to visit while we were in the area! Their address of Edison/Bow seems to be barely a smudge on the map, but it was well worth the visit. When we entered we were immediately greeted with a wide array of our options. They have multiple bartops, one of which is a full bar, and some really fun food options. We didn't end up getting food during our stop, but our friends did, and the pizzas looked great. We had a few of the beer options, and they were delicious. I especially enjoyed trying the tripple. It's a very laid-back establishment with large, open spaces and is welcoming to families. It's a great visit whenever you are in the area. read more

What a great find this was in the small town of Edison! In fact there's quite a bit packed into this little town. There are several restaurants here all with impressive Yelp averages but that was not something we factored into on this trip so we just spent time at Terramar. The location for this brewery is just a bit too far to come up in Yelp proximity searches for Mount Vernon so I kept missing it to bookmark but someone that Steve worked with mentioned the town, he researched it and found out there was a brewery in Edison. Terramar isn't just a brewery but it's also a distillery too! We got several beers here and we really enjoyed it very much! I got the Hefeweizen, Harry and the Hefeweizen was the name of the beer and it was excellent! I also got a great chili beer here as well! It was a perfect blending of heat and breadiness. We also purchased some of the spirits that they make which we really liked the bottle because it looked like a light bulb! We enjoyed that at home to give us frequent reminders of just how much we loved Terramar! read more

This place was great! All the food and drinks were awesome. We got in at the right time because about 20-30 minutes after we sat down the place never stopped having a consistent stream of newcomers. They have a flight with 6 4oz tasters and that was just perfect. We loved the Oslo beer! Great atmosphere, music, etc. We talked about all of the people we need to bring back there. Good beer, cool property and layout. But the liquor our party had (we had both vodka and gin) was some of the most bitter foul tasting any of our livers had ever come across. There was 6 of us, we all passed our drinks around just to verify how comically bad it was. We watched our friend try to choke down the remainder of his gin and tonic and he had to throw in the towel, a remorseful act that hung a dark cloud over our otherwise sunshiny Sunday funday. I just loved Terramar for the first couple of years. Beautiful marshland views, relaxing comfy vibe, outdoor and indoor seating, and intriguingly different pizzas, packed with friendly customers, often with cute big dogs. And while I don't eat meat or gluten, I'm SO easy to please and understanding of service bottlenecks. But while the views and seating are the same, I don't think we will come back again. Third time with a bad experience, they struck out. Unwisely ordered the vegan pizza because, well, I'm vegan, but it was unfortunately a slimy, acidic mess which made me feel like a slimy, acidic mess myself all night - little sleep. I've been told brusquely in the past that they don't/can't do menu substitutes, so if you can't eat something, your range may be extremely, extremely limited. (On a previous visit, my daughter was limited, seriously, to a small cup of fried radishes.) This evening I asked about their hot drinks (hot toddy, maybe?) and gamely tried what the bartender first mentioned - a hot apple whiskey butter type drink. It wasn't a success. I had to let it separate over time, and suck up the whiskey from the bottom, as the top was so acidic and overly sweet at once. Husband's potato wedges were good (but accompanying aioli was smoked and not at all appealing). Worse, not one person called in to check on whether our food was okay. The restaurant was nearly empty, so no excuse. So when I tried some helpful advice on checkout, the bartender brusquely cut me short, literally on the second word, and said "yeah everyone loves pizza every night" and promptly disappeared. Sigh. It's a pity, as this started out to be such a great place. They need a food menu overhaul and someone who actually cares about customers and a dining experience. Sorry guys. I hesitate writing this review and potentially spoiling such a great place so close to Bellingham. But considering I'm a nobody, I might as well let a few people on Yelp know about my experience. No matter where you're coming from, getting to Terramar is going to be a treat for you. All areas pointing to Edison are beautiful. They're lined with farms, orchards, schools, cheese-maker-people (cheese-aries?), and many other interesting places that dot your path to the way of Terramar. Once you arrive, the service is consistently warm and welcoming. They also have a nice menu with a focus on pizza and apps that are locally sourced. The pizza is a little on the garlicky side, but not enough to dissuade my kids from enjoying it. I also appreciated the occasional crunch of baked garlic between bites. I recently visited and was impressed by their fresh hop this year, which was a great expression of the style with an oat backbone. Very good beer. There's a speakeasy attached to the building, with more limited hours and requiring attendance from those 21+. It looks impressive from the outside and one day I'm likely to hang out here for hours. Lastly, their branding is awesome which makes for nice souvenirs to bring home, I like their shirts and interesting glasses. read more

Impressed by one of their bottled beers, the space quadity, we visited on a late summer evening. Location is spectacular, right against a dike with glorious cloudplay and views of the skagit delta and the sound. Unfortunately its a concrete blockhouse with no view windows. Food was meh, draught beer was meh. Ceilings reflected the sound and make for an angry environment. After we ate we walked out onto the dike and listened to the wind, which was terrific. read more

We talked with Katie several times before the event and she was so helpful with answering all of our questions. I met Matt a month before our event when I went to Terramar for the first time to check out the venue. He took the time to show me around and explained some things that we could do with the space to make it more personalized for our guests. On the day of the event, Morgan went above and beyond to help set up and even climbed a ladder to decorate the vintage farm truck. Our guests had the most incredible night - and Morgan, Katie & Matt were all there making it perfect with positive attitudes & helpful hearts. The food, drinks, ambiance & service was THE BEST. Bow Edison is a cute one block town. I find it crazy that I never discovered it after growing up in Bellingham. I was shocked by it! We decided to try it here after going to the restaurant up the street the night before. We knew we had to stop in before we headed out back to Seattle. They have a huge outdoor area and they allow dogs if they are on a leash. The have two indoor areas. One is a speakeasy which I thought was fabulous and had a great vibe. Even a piano in there but not sure if people play at night. We didn't try their specialty cocktails but the menu looked promising. The other side was a bar to order beer and alcohol. It was pretty big in there so you could have large groups. We got their flight and a couple of beers. The flight included vodka, gin and American. The vodka was the best and even bought two bottles of it. Their bottles were so cute and shaped like light bulbs! Another brilliant idea. They have wood burning pizza so of course we had to try that and it was spot on. Crust was perfect with melting cheese and delicious sauce. We only got the margarita pizza but the other toppings looked good as well when they brought the other tables their pizza. Decided to head out to Bow/Edison last night to check out Terramar Brewing. I have to admit that it's tough to find a beer at most breweries that I want to drink. I really prefer stouts and porters, and the higher the ABV, the better. There are breweries like Founders and New Holland (both in Michigan) that are setting the bar really high for those types of beers. And when I have a Double Stack Imperial Breakfast stout brewed with maple syrup and coffee (Great Notion Brewing, Portland) in the fridge at home, it's tough to drink a lesser stout or porter. Anyway, the wife and I were really there for the food. We'd heard about Terramar, and the menu on their web site was intriguing. We ordered the wood-fired sweet corn, the wood-fired beet salad, an acorn squash appetizer and the fuzzy piggy pizza. The squash appetizer was our least favorite of the four items. Don't get me wrong - everything we had at Terramar was really fresh - but it just wasn't that great. The beet salad had plenty of beets, goat cheese (chèvre) and kale. A lot of kale. Never thought I'd miss arugula until confronted with all that kale. The wood-fired sweet corn was really good, and we'd definitely order it again! My wife and I were split on the fuzzy piggy pizza, which consists of washington peach, prosciutto, Samish Bay vache, ferndale farmstead caciotta, walnuts, oaxacan chili puree, local honey and arugula. She didn't really care for the crust, which was a mixture of sourdough and wheat. I really enjoyed that pizza, though. The atmosphere is fun, and service was great. Very personable and friendly. If you're out in that area, Terramar is worth a visit. read more

I am not even sure how to get started reviewing this place. Magical seems like a silly word for a pizza and beer place, but there you go. I have said it. Edison/bow - or is it Bow / Edison is a place that seems like it lives by its own rules. Pay a bit more for "farm to table" freshness? Yes, that is a thing. Drive to a place that exists because it is so beautiful for no particular reason but you will know when your get there? Yup. That is the place. Beer good? Yes and more. Cider menu for those that would rather? The best and most curated selection. Salads instead of pizza for those that are not carnivores? The beet salads and other non meat Options are something I drive for miles for. (I am not a vegan but i watch people as a hobby - and I see smiles from those that choose the option to abstain.) If you have not been to Bow / Edison, go. If you go, go to this brewery and pizza joint. I'm not sure what else to say. If you see an old guy with a basset hound, perhaps give the dog a pat and maybe a nod of the head. read more

First impressions: Great friendly counter service. Restaurant and restrooms were super clean. Our take out order got out to us fairly quickly considering how busy it was. A nice person brought our pie out to us and I appreciated their positive attitude. The pizza itself: The sauce and toppings were tasty. It was a bit pricey but not overly. The Margherita came in at $16 before tax and had 6 slices. The crust was okay but it was too burnt to eat all of it. Which was disappointing considering we were splurging a bit.
