VENT TIME!!!! I have bought 4 vehicles off of Terre Haute Chevrolet and for the most part been treated well and have gotten good deals......UNTIL TWO YEARS AGO. I bought a 2009 Chevy AVALANCHE, good trucks. I know this cause it's the second one I bought from them. The check engine light came on before I even got it home. So I called them and they said bring it back "WE'LL TAKE CARE OF IT " right, for $300 they took care of it. And actually they didn't replace the sensor. Said I re-tested it and it was fine. Said he was glad he checked it again because to replace sensor he'd have to drop the gas tank. So 7 months later other messages started showing up on my dash. They said as long as they weren't blinking it should be fine. So a few months later they started blinking. I took it in for them to check it out. THANK GOD I BOUGHT THE WARRANTY!! They gave me a list $13,000 long that needed fixed. Hell I only paid $12,000 for the truck. The warranty covered $8,300 of the repairs, thank God or I'd would have had a piece of junk to pay for. The warranty didn't cover the brakes and they wanted too much to replace them, so I went elsewhere cause it was only $300 per axle and included rotors, (theirs didn't). The phone call I got made me soooo angry, it's going to be a bit more, he said due to the lines and master cylinder were RUSTED BAD!! I said okay, I needed to be able to stop! So now I have a new front end and new front brakes, rotors, master cylinders and brake lines. Now two weeks ago I find out.....IT'S AGAINST THE LAW TO SELL A VEHICLE WITH A RUSTED FRAME!!!! Why would I have found this out????? Because my strap that holds my gas tank on has rusted and the frame to hook it to is RUSTED!!!! I took it to 3 mechanics that said this truck has sat in water for a long period of time, like a hurricane or tornado or flood. They said it had to be like that when they sold it to me. THAT WAS THE REASON THE GUY AT CHEVROLET DIDN'T WANT TO DROP THE GAS TANK!!! There was nothing to reattach the strap to. As soon as I find a lawyer to take this case I'm going to sue their asses. Soooo WHEN YOU BUY A VEHICLE PLEASE TAKE IT TO YOUR MECHANIC FOR AN INSPECTION ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN AND DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT VEHICLES. RANT OVER!!!!! Would not recommend Terre Haute Chevrolet | New & Used Cars, Trucks & SUVs Specifically Chris, Hollie, and James from the Service Garage Caleb's car sat in their service garage for 3 days with an issue with absolutely no communication from the service team whatsoever. Caleb would have to call for updates and typically they would say they would return his call and never did. Charged us to tell us about a problem that we already knew about even though it was a miscommunication on their part. Then was promised 20% off "for our troubles" and didn't even get that. When I called back to try and get the problem solved they had conveniently already left for the day. One of the worst experiences with a service garage. This business is an absolute joke. I was stranded 4 hrs from home with a blown head gasket. They did what they could to help me. Most dealerships would have capitalized on that opportunity. Not this one. First and foremost, I would like to preface with I am not a 'bad review writer'. I've let the issue marinate and decided if mine detours one person from going here- it's a win. Brian was my rep...and I will say HE, himself was great, but one good apple cant save the whole rotten tree. I bought my car at the beginning of April. Mind you the market for used cars right now, is ABSURD. But I commute to and from work, was just in an accident and needed something NOW. My car is a 2017 Buick Encore, with a hundred thousand miles...I still paid and arm and leg for it, but I've learned past lessons and know if I take care of it- it will last. With past lessons, I decided to do their warranty (just in case). Not even two weeks after having the car i started having air conditioning issues. Called, took it in, they "fixed it" and sent me on my way. Not even five days later, creeping into the dog days of summer..BOOM again no air. Mind you I am almost four months pregnant, we don't do well in heat. I call more frustrated this time, they get it in and then quote me $800 for repair.... My warranty, which blatantly states air conditioning with NO MENTION of air conditioning hoses as an exclusion "does not cover". Again keep in mind, not even 30 days post purchase. They 'head' of the company, Jay calls to "cut me a deal" stating they will only charge me a little over $400 for the repair. I called a few days later to get more information (mind you I leave messages all the time with NO call backs) and they rep told me that the part is ONLY $72 dollars. Meaning they were going to charge me over $700 labor. I was fuming; called and got three quotes from other car shops and had two mechanics look at it..all of which giving me a quote for the repair of $350 OR LESS. i conveyed this information over and was blown off. I am disappointed and angry beyond belief that I gave this company my money as apart of my car purchase in times like these, a company who could give a rats ass about their customers. read more

This is the worst run car dealership I have been to. Made an appointment this morning and the receptionists gave us a time to bring the car in and forgot to ask out name. I called her back and she said she hadnt had her coffee yet. I take my car at the time the receptionist told and the service manager said we didnt have an appointment. This is just of a few bad dealings with this dealer. Not going back again . read more

I went in to look at a truck and the one I was interested in had a deposit on it but the salesman let me sit in it to see if I liked the way that year sat. I told him I was looking or a 2500 or a 3500, he said we get them in but they go really quickly. He never asked me for my name or number just told me to watch the website. I left and thought that was odd and called to talk to the sales manager, left my name and number. Guess what not a return call. Here's the thing fellas NEVER judge a book by the cover, I have bought 5 new vehicles in the last 5 years. You lost a potential repeat customer. read more

I bought a used car there in May 2018. I'm very pleased with the car and the transaction. Kim, their title administrator, spent 3 weeks working to get the lien release from an uncooperative bank that held the lien for the previous owner. She was diligent and communicated well. I think that bank could take a lesson from her. I would buy from them again. read more

Worst experience ever!! Bought a used Jeep from them right after Christmas 2017 for my daughter. I got there mid morning due to weather and they had me there till after 5pm. I was talked into buying and extended warranty. After having the Jeep for less than two years the throw out bearing and transmission is out. I have contacted Chevrolet and Century to get my Jeep fix but no will return my calls and I get the run around. Do Not Buy the extended warranty from Century Services from them. They are a scam and I think the dealership is right with them. Needless to say I've been out of a car for 2 1\2 weeks plus the cost of a rental car. read more

After another local dealership screwed up a repair, I brought it to TH instead. They identified that the problem was indeed the shoddy work at the last place and took care of it in a timely manner. Not only that, but Tammy called me several times throughout the day to give me updates because I was so nervous that I would have to repair or replace the engine right before Christmas. Outstanding customer service! Jack and Ken are top notch! We have been Ford owners for about 16 years. We had no problem with our Ford products, in fact we loved them, but there is no longer a dealership in Terre Haute that provides quality customer and auto service. Bob Bowen is the closest (and we love them too) but we need someone here at home. We have found our new home dealership at Terre Haute Chevrolet! read more
