I won't spoil the story, but there are plenty of things to find with the Q-Pass and by exploring the various "worlds", but even without experiencing the story, it's incredibly fun to just walk around and see what all you can find, and they're constantly updating and adding instillations, which is sure to keep you coming back! Do note that Meow Wolf is an art instillation, don't come expecting an Arcade with games to play and countless things to do, instead think of it as an adult-sized version of those interactive sections at the museums, slightly mixed with a playground, all wrapped in a weird, fun, artsy package, so if that isn't your thing, be warned. Overall, Meow Wolf is an amazing experience that you should definitely try if you're in the area!

What exactly is this thing?…read more I don't think anyone really knows. I came during the daytime and could see a bunch of shiny red things in a huge pile. There doesn't seem to be any organization to their placements except to heap them up in a tapered manner. It is 20 feet tall. The red fiberglass sculpture sits on an aluminum base. This sculpture was installed in 2008. John McEnroe is the artist & sculptor. All these little bags were made using nylons filled with sand, then coated with resin. The sand was then drained out of the nylons and this is what you are left with, a "candy" shell. A hollowed sculpture. This process reminds me of Papier-mâché, in a way. Inside there are fluorescent lights. I should have gone at night to see what it looks like when it is lit up! You can see this from I-25 or walk across the Highland Street Bridge. I saw this thing twice, first time was intentional, the second time, I was going to the nearby doughnut shop. I walked on both parts of the Highland Bridge. I came to see it and left not knowing what I saw! Art is often abstract and thought provoking. I'm sure I'll inadvertently pass by this again in my ventures around Denver.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clever, risqué, and funny this show was. We attended the Alice in Wonderland show and it was the perfect mix of sexiness and comedy. We got the VIP seats right up next to the stage, but from looking around, it appears there are very few "bad" seats in the house, maybe a seat or two behind some columns. My friends and I laughed and clapped and cheered. The performances were top notch. The drinks weren't gourmet cocktails, but that's not expected. I got a pretty good sized mule and dark n stormy and my friend's husband enjoyed his many martinis. The performers were kind enough take photos with us at the end of the evening. So down to earth. I also had a great experience with their staff. Early in the year I purchased two tickets in hopes of getting a good table. Then months later, they introduced the VIP tickets right next to the stage. I purchased three of those (I had added two friends by then) and the company was kind enough to refund my two regular tickets. They were very prompt and professional in emails. Regular tickets were 50-ish, VIP tickets were 70-ish. Worth every penny. No photos or videos during the production, but they allow for some photos and video at the end. Also close to many restaurants and bars, essentially in a pedestrian district. We walked to a close by mediterranean place (reviewed separately) that was fantastic.

Love the body positivity and the diversity amongst all their dancers (male dancers were included!). They provide fun little noisemakers to use during the dances to cheer them on. They have lots of drink options too and come around to take your order. I got the non-alcoholic Aperol spritz which was a little strange but that's ok haha. Other girls seemed to like their cocktails and wine. The music, the costumes, the dancers, everything was so much better than we expected! So fun!

The costuming is frightful and at times they misguided us on purpose. We had a great time!

We learned they have new ownership and they changed the format from pay as you go to a flat fee per person ($20) and allow you come and go all day with a wristband. Which is cool since they don't have food or adult drinks (but they do sell snacks and pop) so you could hop over to the Oskar Blue next door and come back. And probably a nice change for parents who want to entertain kids and not be both with them coming back looking for more quarters. We were just stopping in for a couple games so the $20/person was way too much for us. When we turned to leave the person working (maybe the owner) asked us how much we thought we were going to play and let us play on our honor for $5/5 games total between the both of us. We had fun and the games seemed well maintained. We will check back in the future, but don't think we would ever pay $20/person.
