My favorite part of this establishment is the speciality drinks named after characters (Kirby, etc.). It makes it so fun! I also feel like the drinks are reasonably priced. They're very loud and colorful. If you're new, they have tutorials which is nice (also makes gameplay a little longer). Most games are like $1 for 4-5 rounds - except for Mario kart which was kind of a scam. Overall, it's a lot of fun for dates or hangouts or to play something different than pinball machines. I did see a lot of toddlers and it's not a place for toddlers. Most toddlers would ask their parents to play a game but they would get bored or confused and leave after the parent inserted the coins to play said game. Take them to Chuck E. Cheese instead or like Malibu jacks nearby.

It still has that signature Meow Wolf chaos and "what am I even looking at" energy, but it feels like the artists came together with a really clear shared vision. Instead of just exploring random cool rooms (which I also love), this one felt more curated - like every space is part of a larger, connected world you're slowly uncovering as you go. It's immersive in a way that kept pulling me deeper in the longer I stayed. I've loved all the Meow Wolf locations for different reasons, but Denver is the one that felt the most complete as an experience. If you're only going to pick one, this is the one I'd recommend!

If you've seen one, you understand the basic experience, though to really get what's going on, you have to see them all and do a lot of wandering and research. Denver's Convergence Station is the largest of the Meow Wolf complexes (I think) at over 90K square feet. For timed entry and a drink, it cost over 60 dollars (flexible entry is more expensive). I actually had to go twice because I was so overwhelmed and missed a large portion of the venue, even staying like three hours. The art is awesome. Lots of mysteries. Phone booths where you can call multiple numbers and get various weird clues. A neon castle. Tunnels to crawl through. Lots of climbing up stairs too (they have elevators if needed). You can stop by a bar in the Japanese-inspired "city" to grab a regular or boozy drink to take around with you. Lots of places to explore. You can touch everything (make sure to sanitize after you leave). Multi-media and diverse textures everywhere. Bright lights. Weeeeiiiiirrrrddd stuff. Aliens. Monsters. Sometimes if you time it right, their real life alien characters will make their way through the installation. I don't think there is any way to see or understand this installation in just one visit (they offer annual passes by the way). And honestly, you have to see all the other Meow Wolfs to really get the big picture (but it doesn't hamper your enjoyment or delight if you haven't). I will say that this version of Meow Wolf is a little more winding and convoluted than other smaller venues. Things don't connect quite as well. But still a good time. Employees are all helpful and cheerful. You can make this into as much or as little of a day as you like. And it's 100 percent worth it.

"Let's Go Crazy", "Diamonds and Pearls", "1999", "Kiss" and of course "Purple Rain", just to name a few. I wanted to get up and dance to the strobe like laser show. I liked the integration of moving shapes along with animal, Prince and clubbing caricatures. Very family friendly. The show run time was 50 min. The only downside was the seating. I was pleasantly surprised by how clever, risqué, and funny this show was. We attended the Alice in Wonderland show and it was the perfect mix of sexiness and comedy. We got the VIP seats right up next to the stage, but from looking around, it appears there are very few "bad" seats in the house, maybe a seat or two behind some columns. My friends and I laughed and clapped and cheered. The performances were top notch. The drinks weren't gourmet cocktails, but that's not expected. I got a pretty good sized mule and dark n stormy and my friend's husband enjoyed his many martinis. The performers were kind enough take photos with us at the end of the evening. So down to earth. I also had a great experience with their staff. Early in the year I purchased two tickets in hopes of getting a good table. Then months later, they introduced the VIP tickets right next to the stage. I purchased three of those (I had added two friends by then) and the company was kind enough to refund my two regular tickets. They were very prompt and professional in emails. Regular tickets were 50-ish, VIP tickets were 70-ish. Worth every penny. No photos or videos during the production, but they allow for some photos and video at the end. Also close to many restaurants and bars, essentially in a pedestrian district. We walked to a close by mediterranean place (reviewed separately) that was fantastic.

We saw a burlesque tarot performance. The host was so funny and all the dancers were amazing and so talented! Love the body positivity and the diversity amongst all their dancers (male dancers were included!). They provide fun little noisemakers to use during the dances to cheer them on. They have lots of drink options too and come around to take your order. I got the non-alcoholic Aperol spritz which was a little strange but that's ok haha. Other girls seemed to like their cocktails and wine. The music, the costumes, the dancers, everything was so much better than we expected! So fun!

They are serious when they give warning for anyone with breathing issues. I do have asthma and knew to bring a mask. The fog was thick, but it added to the experience. Another tip, wear stable shoes. There are many uneven, squishy or moving surfaces that need to be traversed while making your way through the attraction. The actors throughout did a great job. The costuming is frightful and at times they misguided us on purpose. We had a great time!
