Meat sweat's initiated! I just finished my meal at TB, and it lived up to the hype. It was not super crowded which helped this freshman to TB. I love the entrance. It was super appealing. Once I was inside I got in line and got my sides. I had to get a little bit of everything almost. Then after the sides, I headed over to the meat department. The process was pretty easy and honestly, it was nice and intimate. Picking out meat is a serious occasion and sometimes a little privacy helps. lol The two employees who helped me were awesome. They explained things to me and were super nice. I'm not gonna lie, my meal was like $60 and that is understandable. A lot of hard work goes into making and cooking all the things. The meat was super scrumptious and flavorful. My favorite was the brisket and the crispy ends. The turkey was delicious, but I just couldn't get past that brisket. I also did have a pork rib and the crispy topping was amazing. In the end, everything was wonderful everything was clean and the bathroom was fantastic. I had to stop as a friend stated best bar b que ever. It is great atmosphere but for food and value, I give it a 2 I gave a 3 as the staff at counter nice. I just wanted to try and since I do not eat much in one sitting and did not have Tiki Hubby with me to share, I got one little pork rib wanted beef but the bone was soooo big and you pay by weight. We so blown away by the taste and quality of the barbecue here! We ordered a beef rib, marbled brisket & jalapeño cheddar sausage. For our sides: Mac & cheese, bbq beans and potato salad. All of the meats were so delicious, flavorful and falling off the bone good. We were sad that we could not eat any more because we were so full! The sides were all good however the potato salad lacked a little flavor. The service was very quick, you go through the line and pick your sides and meats given to you in a tray. There is open seating available so you can pick whatever table is open. My husband and I will be returning when we come back to Waco. read more

I'm glad I read the Yelp reviews on how to order before I came. The indoor dining area is huge and though there are signs on where to order, your eyes see barbecue and you want to head directly to the pick-up line. For my first visit to a barbecue spot, I always choose the staples: potato salad, coleslaw, a link of cheddar jalapeño sausage and chopped brisket. I liked the sausage. It was smokey and the outer casing had that snap when I bit into it that I like. The chopped brisket was excellent. I like to tuck it into a slice of white bread with pickles and onion and extra barbecue sauce like most do. Great stop. 1st ones in no crowd at all. Was given tour of the pits and cooking process.Place is huge I can only imagine the crowds it sees on the weekends. Everyone was welcoming and kind 1st rate service. Sides were great cole slaw and green beans both fresh and full of flavor the carrots in the slaw had a nice crunch. The meat is sold by the pound and they weight as you go we had 3 slices of brisket point, 3 pork ribs,& 1 sausage link. The brisket was seasoned about as good as it gets the bark was what backyard cooks dream of, ribs were lip smacking good and the sausage had a good smoke flavor a good chew between the slaw and green beans. The place looks great and parking was easy. The service was good. Everyone was helpful. They explained how the process worked at each station. The food was where it got interesting. Loved the ambiance of this place even though we were there right when they opened on a Sunday morning so we were the only people there. I am sure on a Friday night, this place would rock! We all loved the bbq. The ribs were amazing and the brisket was really good. Our little group was mixed on the mac and cheese. Two thought it was the best ever and 2 thought it was just ok. I thought the green beans looked amazing and they were fine but not quite as good as I was hoping for. The 3 bbq sauces were all excellent! One hint that we tried is to mix all 3 sauces together. It was amazing! The only thing that really keeps me from giving them 5 stars is the pricing. BBQ has just gotten really expensive. Some of the best brisket I've ever tasted. Great service from Oscar, Adrianna, and Tammy made it a perfect stop for lunch on our way out of Waco. They have very nice spot with a cool outdoor patio setup too. We stopped for lunch and my wife and I tried many of the sides with our brisket entrees and weren't disappointed. First time at this Terry Black's location and I love it! They have a wonderful and beautiful patio. Pretty spacious with fans as well. Inside is very spacious as well with plenty of seating. While you are waiting in line you can browse through their merchandise to purchase and wines. Everything was delicious! If you love a juicy brisket don't forget to ask for the fatty part. My favorite side was the Cream Corn and meat was the Brisket with lots of their spicy BBQ sauce. The Jalapeno Sausage was also pretty tasty and the turkey super tender and flavorful. As soon as we landed in Dallas, our mission was to get some great BBQ. We ended up in Deep Ellum, a cool little neighborhood full of social eateries and great vibes. The spot we chose had both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a AWESOME smoke pit area where guests can peek in and see the barbecue process up close, a nice touch that adds to the experience. The smoky aroma hit us the moment we arrived, and even on a Monday evening, the place was packed. The setup is cafeteria-style: you wait in line, grab your tray, and order your sides and DESSERT first, then your meats,which are sliced fresh in front of you. We sampled a bit of everything. The ribs were definitely the standout for me. The brisket was flavorful but a little too salty, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage was also quite salty for my taste. However, the sides were all delicious. I loved that they had all the condiments and bread available outside, so you can help yourself. There's also a great merch section with sauces, rubs, and gift baskets, I regret not bringing something home. When we do team meetings with our DFW counterparts, we always make it a point to eat at this Terry Black's location. Food is just as good as it is at the Austin location, service is great and they do a good job of getting you moved through the line, and there's plenty of seating inside. Parking can get a little tough when it gets super busy (especially the lunch rush) but I'd eat BBQ everyday and twice on Sundays if I could. The outside area is beautifully decorated with lots of lush flowers and plants. It looks nice! The brisket had thick slices with just enough fat, but not too much and I put on the sweet sauce and it was so tasty. The price was really good for the quality meat that you get.
