Went and saw Americas Got Talent winner, and Las Vegas Mirage headliner, Terry Fator last night. Always a great time under the stars in Tuachan with Lisa! Now for Mr Fator.....we'll just say a real lack of effort for the show. Only thing on stage was a mic stand a stool, and yes a cheap EZ-UP canopy with a pair of clamp on lights inside.....this was the storage area for the puppets and the assistant. And you've never seen anyone hate her job more than this chick. Sour expression, kinda drug the puppets away when Terry was done. On the big screen they played a duet with another ventriloquist in Spanish, yes that's right....we watched a YouTube type video of 2 ventriloquists doing a Spanish duet! Puppets were cool, would have been great to see Micheal Jackson (in person, not on video), Dolly Parton (in person, not on video), Willie Nelson ((in person, not on video), Justin Bieber (in person, not on video) Ozzy Osborne (in person, not on video). That's right, those puppets were played from pre recorded videos. Then Terry sang a song he wrote that "everyone insists he sing and is disappointed when he doesn't" about a 6 year old boy who loves horses and dies of cancer before he can ride one called "Horses In Heaven". First of all, lovely sentiment...but really awful lyrics....and I've enclosed a picture of the one of the images he showed while singing. As far as the writing for the show, probably only 15 minutes of clever laugh out loud stuff, remainder was met with groans for its "lack of effort" as I started out with..... Thank goodness the theater is world class 'cause this guy really underperformed to a sold out venue. read more

I bought tickets for an early Father's Day gift, and it went wonderfully! Terry was super amazing, and every minute of the show was a wonder to behold. I thought it was going to be more of a comedy show at first. I did not know anything about Terry beforehand and did not look up anything about the show. But I had a great time. This show is mostly music and song covers with Terry doing his various voice impressions with the puppets. I'll be honest though, some of the puppets were too human-like and kind of gave me nightmare fuel to look at! The show itself is an hour long, but it went by pretty fast, which is a good or bad thing depending on how you see it. The theater itself was smaller than expected but better for viewing! I brought two booth seats in section A/B, and they were extra comfy and had a direct line of sight to the stage. The tickets themselves weren't too bad, under $100 each. If you're coming in from the front entrance of the Strat, just turn right and keep going until you see a pair of escalators! Then go up, and you'll be right there; they have a bar in front to order alcohol or drinks from, as you can't order from your seats. read more

If you love 70s and 80s music, then this is it! I never really watched AGT, so I didn't realize Terry sings so well! And he impersonates so many personalities! This is held inside the Strat Hotel & Casino, on the upper level away from the casino. It's a newly remodeled venue that is spacious and clean, with individual seats and seats with small tables up front, while booths in the back. The venue has its own restrooms. The show was definitely entertaining. Some reviews said it wasn't appropriate for young kids, which I can understand, but honestly, kids are exposed to worst stuff online. Attended A Very Terry Christmas Fator show which was great. Terry Fator is funny, entertaining and amazing. We get a kick out of his humor and his singing is amazing. This show had a great selection of Christmas song and we were amazed particularly how he sounded so much like Karen Carpenter. Overall, we had wonderful time. The venue is nice, staff professional and friendly, and snacks and drinks reasonable. Parking at Strat for locals is free. We also picked up a Winston puppet this time which is adorable and all proceeds from his merchandise sales go to helping military families through his foundation. Merry Christmas! read more

I saw Terry in December 2021 and he was amazing. All the cool characters, Ahmed, old Walter, all the cast was really good and Terry was amazing, a real entertainer. Fast forward to tonight....December 2024 Went to see Terry Fator at the Strat for his new Christmas show. There was a lot more singing than joke telling. When he was telling jokes, a lot of that part of the act fell short on the audience. Tonight was not the same Terry Fator I saw 3 years ago. He looked very disheveled, he was not feeling well and the show had a lot of new puppets but it just was not a good show. Terry is very talented and can do many voices and sings amazingly. I felt bad for him to be at the level he is as a star and to give such a mediocre performance. He did come out into the audience a few times and some of the people were not impressed. He came by our table and it was sad. I used to think he was really funny and this new show, very sad dry humor and he seemed to really struggle through this show. He did cancel for being sick, he should consider more time off to heal and create a better show. I'm a local and I don't recommend this show right now. Sorry Terry. read more

Yes, the Las Vegas name is synonymous with a plethora of unparalleled entertainment. There are spectacular shows, of every kind, for every taste, age and fantasy. However, there is only one Ventriloquist show, and it is that of Terry Fator, who is now at the Strat Hotel. He is a past winner of AGT (the second season), won that million dollars, and got a residency in Vegas. He has been playing Vegas for over a decade, at several notable resorts (Mirage, New York New York) before ending up at the Strat. What distinguishes this show from the others in Vegas is that, it is unique, unmatched, different, nostalgic and highly entertaining. Terry is an impersonator extraordinaire, who can mimic the voices of famous personalities and celebrities past (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr.) and present. He takes you down memory lane. And he can sing too (superbly, I might add). All this is done with his mastery of ventroloquism via his many well known puppets. The grand finale is the song, We are the World, for which Terry performs in the voices of 19 of the iconic singers who were featured on the recording (Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Diana Ross, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Tina Turner, Lionel Ritchie, etc). The whole show is a testament to the brilliance of Terry Fator. It is a, "must see" when you are in Vegas. Now at the Strat showroom. He does a good job with all of his characters, but some of his jokes fall a little flat. Most of his act is singing, and some comedy. He seemed a little scruffy, a little unkempt. We had plenty of laughs during the show. But, I wish it was more comedy and less singing. My adult son and I went to see this show on a Sunday evening. We were seated in a booth and were able to see the stage well plus projections were on both sides of the stage. The show was good with a few risqué jokes from the puppets and Terry doted on his wife in the audience telling their love story. Terry came around to the audience with the Kermit puppet, but didn't make it to our area. He's very talented and funny with diverse puppets. Photos during the show are encouraged, no flashes! No meet and greet for photos after the show and the show souvenir items were sparse and unimpressive. read more

What makes him unique is that he's also a fantastic singer and he can do so MANY voices. Don't believe me? What till his end of show performance of We are the World! Outstanding and impressive. Book early if you can and get seats with an unobstructive view of the stage. He did come down and walk around the front half of the audience with Kermit the Frog singing the classic Rainbow song. A must see show whenever you get a chance Terry Fator playing at the New York New York hotel & casino . I think he's one of the best transviliquist out there . He won America's got talent . Terry Fator has about 5-6 dummies that he sing and talk with. He also is a very good singer singing Elvis, Frank Sinatra , Earth Wind and Fire and more. Very entertaining and one of the cheaper shows out there in Las Vegas . Also in the showroom they express you to take pictures without flash of course and also very short videos which I thought was great . Most shows in Vegas there's no photography and video. Cute show and family-friendly, but definitely cheesey! I can now confirm that I'm not a fan of Vantrilaqists. But, for families looking for a safe show in Vegas its a good option. Now performing at the Stratosphere, this show has been levelled up with interactive ditigal imagery and effects in this new theater. Its cute that he has so many puppets that are celebrity impersonators and they all can sing, but it seems like he thinks his singing voice sounds better than it actually does! Plus, some of his bits are pretty racey and definitely PG-13 rated! Not really my thing, but I'm sure some kids and adults would love it! read more

It's been 7 years since I saw Terry Fator on a Yelp Elite Event. The show is no longer at the Terry Fator Theatre at the Mirage. After shows began reopening following their Covid closures, Fator was moved to New York New York Hotel and Casino in a second floor room referred to as the Liberty Loft (although there is no signage in NY NY using that name). Rather, signs just say theater. The box office and elevators for the theatre are just beyond the sports book. I like this venue for his show better than the Mirage. It's more intimate and he's closer to the audience than at the Mirage. The stage is small with two stands and the mikes for the voices. Prior to the show starting, there is a video with the song "We Are the World" from the USA/Africa benefit. Later you learn that Fator sings all 15 voices in the opening video. He says he can do 200 different impressions. One of the puppets he brought out last night, Duggie, was new to me. I think I taught some Duggies in career. Other than that, the puppets were the good old standbys but with new jokes, some involving Covid, others simply making fun of himself. I never had as close a seat at the Mirage than I had last night at NY NY. I always thought his microphone was blocking my view of how much his lips moved, or didn't, when he did the different voices. The show ends the same way as before--a salute to active military, veterans, and he now includes first responders. He sings "God Bless the USA." I sometimes think performers use the patriotic ending to guarantee a standing ovation. You be the judge. read more

The venue is absolutely terrible. I feel that I was in a meeting room turned into a hybrid movie theater lobby with popcorn and crappy drinks. There is zero sloped theater style seats so unless you like watching the act on tv screens placed throughout the room seating does matter. Also the seats were banquet/meeting room style squished together with cheap covers on them. As for the show Terry was hilarious and his singing voice is amazing. His puppets were very entertaining and time went by fast. This show is PG-13 so I don't recommend it for younger audiences since some of the jokes are sexual and drug related. read more

This was a great show and I highly recommend to anyone! 2024 was a rough year for me as I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.Long story short, I turned 42 years old last October and I am still here and this was the first time I've really been able to go out and enjoy myself with my family. Went to see the show last night and we had the best time! The show was great, the audience was great. Terry is absolutely amazing. I wouldn't of believed it if I hadn't of seen it with my own eyes. He sang both parts of a duet simultaneously; like 2 voices at once- it was phenomenal! Plus he can throw his voice so well! He was personable, down to earth, and ended the show by acknowledging our military. Couldn't of asked for a better time. My mom has always wanted to see Terry Fator since he won AGT. I was able to see him years ago during a Yelp event and I thought the show was so bad, I even left early. I didn't want to write a review since the show was free. I finally caved and took my mom to the show even though I had a prior bad experience, it's my mom...anything for mom. The seats were decent, they had an internet special going on so the seats were reasonably priced. The theater looks old and dingy. The drink prices outrageous. But we had a great time at the show. He is a really amazing ventriloquist and a really good singer to boot. The show has changed and was much better this time. Don't be a dummy, give it a try! read more

Can you believe I never heard of Terry Fator? Well we came with friends to his show and it was so awesome!!! He was a winner in the America's Got Talent show. He has just celebrated his 10 year anniversary and he is a ventriloquist, stand up comedian, singer, impressionist from Dallas, Texas! He is so talented and has at least 200 impressions that he can do and so many puppets, including Winston the Turtle, Vicki the Diva, Fernando, as well as Sammy Davis, Jr., Elton John, Donald Trump, Justin Bieber, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Terry can sing country, R&B, rock, he is amazing! The 90 minute show was fabulous and it was over before we knew it. In addition, Terry gives back to the community and has a foundation to give back to veterans, first responders, cancer patients, children... Some of the jokes are not appropriate for children so I think it is more of a show geared for adults. There are refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well as popcorn that you can bring into the show. There are cup holders like a movie theatre and we sat in the 4th row! Had a lotta fun and laughs watching comedian "Fluffy" Gabriel Iglesias. His openers were real funny as well. 3 guys before he made his appearance. The theatre was small enough to make it an intimate setting but we also purchased good seats. 102 B center seating so we had almost the best view! Had to wait a bit to exit because everyone is trying to get out at the same time, way worse than a movie theatre. Clean , seats weren't too hard on my back or butt. Enjoyed the show but this one chick behind me kept yelling orale and it started to bug the crap outta me after the 5th time! Keep that ish to yourself girl. Terry Fator is definitely talented and a great entertainer but there is no way I would call his show family friendly. I recently saw him at the La Mirada Theater in La Mirada, CA. At the beginning of his show he asked how many children were in the audience. He then told us that his show is family friendly but you may have to explain a few things to your children when they get older. Virtually every skit had sexual (both straight and gay) references. After a point that gets old. I definitely would advise against taking children to this show and I don't think I will go again. read more

Even though Terry Fator is known for puppet show, I wouldn't recommend for young children. I did assume it was a family show but it's more of adult humor. I think teens are ok. This show is very affordable. My tickets were third to the last row but we didn't feel like we were miles away from the stage. Terry Factor is a very talented. Disclaimer: This is my review for the Babyface concert inside the Terry Fator theater, not one of TF's performances. I flew into Vegas just to be able to attend one of the Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds concerts earlier in January 2020. I was so glad that I did. This theater was perfect for his concert. It kept things intimate and a lot of fun. I'd say that if you are seated within the first front 1/2 of the theatre, you've got awesome seats. If you're facing the stage and in the section to the left, as long as you're in the first 1/2 of the row nearest the aisle, you should be good as far as your view goes. If you're further towards the wall, you may be leaning over a tad to get a closer look but there are monitors. So don't worry. The theater is so well kept. It's been neat each time I have visited. I think this was at least the 3rd or 4th time that I'd been here for a concert. It won't be the last time either. I am to see Shin Lim with my Mother for her bday in late February. I can't wait! The audio and lighting people are so great. They don't miss anything and their timing with things is impeccable. When Babyface ran out into the crowd the spotlight was on top of it all as he made his way down the aisle and as women were jumping all over him for photos, hugs, sweaty selfies as they pressed their faces against his chest, etc. The seats are comfy. The lighting is awesome. The monitors are in good shape and are more than reliable. The staff are helpful and they won't lead you down the wrong stairs to get to your seats. Ushers are more than happy to take you to your seats even. The concessions folks are friendly, quick and pretty darn efficient if you ask me. They can take a few orders at a time and still get it all right and done quickly. I wish that there were more notice of Meet and Greet opportunities given to concert go-ers but as one of the staff explained to me, it's up to the artist and sometimes as people are lining up to have their tickets scanned to be seated, they are in the office printing up very shoddy looking meet and greet tickets. So, while the meet and greet opportunity is something that you might buy or pay for, you may be getting an ugly basic computer printed thing that is just barely laminated. You don't always get the artistically created, laminated, pro printed out kind that are on nice special event lanyards. It's always best to ask the ticket box office at least a few days before the event. They should know by then usually. I can't wait to come back to the theater to enjoy another show/concert. I have always found myself very comfy in these seats and in this theatre. I really love how intimate it is though too. Such a great venue if you can catch your faves here! read more
