This is an update to my original post below. VERY HAPPY! So yesterday, April 26th, Terry of Terry's Plumbing saw my low review online and he reached out to me to find out what exactly happened and why I was so dissatisfied. After I explained to him what happened and why I was unhappy he said "that is not how we do business" and he promised to make it right. I also explained that I had use them previously and had always been very satisfied. They immediately reversed the credit card charge for my second visit and for the amount I paid to have a new faucet expressed shipped. And for my inconvenience he promised to install my new faucet at no charge once in arrives. I expressed my gratitude to him for reaching out and explained that we all make mistakes it's how they are handled that makes the difference. I am happy to say I will be using and recommending Terry's plumbing again. Thanks you so much Terry for making thing right! Previous Post On April 10th I called Terry's Plumbing, which I have used several time before, to have them install a separate cold water shut off under the kitchen sink for my refrigerator's water line. They knew what need to be done yet they didn't bring the part with them. They also gave me a service call price over the phone and a price per each additional hour. This in contrast to what their website states, which is "free estimates". Good thing I was able to negotiated a flat fee price beforehand. They installed the part and left apparently without checking their work. While also charging me a surcharge for using my AMEX. Again the additional fee was not mention on their website. The next day when I used my faucet I discover I had low flow in the kitchen faucet only. I immediately checked to make sure the valves where fully opened, which they were, and that the end of the sprayer was clean of any debris which it was. So I called Terry's plumbing again and explained the problem. They said the plumber was out sick and they would send someone in a few days. When the plumber arrived for the second time he removed the valves and checked the pressure which was fine. He quickly put everything back together and said it was an issue with my facet, which was working fine before they installed the valve. As he left he told me for $100.00 he would install a new facet. I told him I would do it myself and my facet my warrantied for life. Two minutes later another knock on the door asking for $50.00 for a water pressure check. I said shouldn't have you done that the first time before you left? He said sorry I have to charge you another $50 plus the surcharge for using AMEX. Again no notice of a price any point during the scheduling or when he arrived as it states "free estimates" on their website. I reluctantly paid the $50.00 and told them I would never do business with them again. Hire at your own risk, seems shady! read more

My elderly cousin in Boca Raton needed to have a leaky toilet (in an extra bathroom) repaired on October 11, 2019. I, along with my husband, my brother, and his wife, had made a special trip from out of state to visit and help our cousin get his house in order. A friend of his had recommended Terry's Plumbing, and they sent Jose F. that afternoon. He quickly fixed the source of the leak but also pointed out that because that toilet had not been used in several years that the working parts were all rotted and that it would be better to replace the entire toilet. He thought that he had to go to another job that day but said he could do it the next day. However, we were all leaving to return home the next day so we were hesitant to have this done after we had left. Luckily, his other appointment was canceled so he was able to purchase the new toilet and install it that same day. If you have ever shopped for a toilet, it can be overwhelming as there are so many choices. Also, we simply did not have time during our short visit to make the long trek to shop for one. However, we knew enough to know the typical price and the price he quoted was very reasonable. He returned later and got it installed that afternoon. He was very polite and cleaned up after himself. Our cousin took an extremely long time to write the check but Jose was very patient. Jose had a great personality and provided great service. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! I had water gushing through an opening where the pipe comes out of the wall into my a/c closet. I'm in a condo, it was obviously coming from an upstairs unit...my guess was someone's water heater or a/c condensation over flow or pipe burst...I was frantic b/c there was alot of water, I didn't know how long it would last, or what it was. I liked Terry's 'free estimate' offer AND their $50 celebration discount. They seemed nice, got someone out within the hour and then it was all down hill from there. The guy took about 20 minutes to go on the roof, we got into upstair units except two we weren't able to check because no one was home. His conclusion was that 'duh' it was someone above me and that it wasn't my unit so there was nothing to fix and that I should call my property management company. I thanked for his time and he said I'll go write up your bill. I said what bill? I thought this was a free estimate. He said yes, as soon as I came it we estimated it wasn't your unit!! (I already knew that.) I said ok, here's a discount coupon I got off your site for $50...he took it and said he'd be right back. (I never should have given him the coupon first, I realized but I was a little frantic and scattered.) Anyway, he came back with a bill for $150 minus the $50 discount. I thought this was outrageous for 20 minutes to determine what I already knew. I felt like their 'free estimate' was a come-on ad and that their bill is padded so it SEEMS like I'm getting a $50 discount. I felt ripped off...I will never use them again. read more

To Whom It May Concern, August 7, 2018 On August 3rd Steven Mckeehan arrived to my home and on time. After explaining my plumbing problems Steven was very knowledgeable about my plumbing issues as he explained the procedure and gave me the estimate. After giving him the "go ahead" he went right to work in my master bathroom. He had to remove the toilet, do the repair, replace the toilet and he cleaned up just as good as I would do myself. I explained that I sometimes smell methane gas in my guest bathroom. Steve investigated it and suggested that I potentially have a problem with the cast iron pipe under my home. He recommended snaking a camera through the pipe to properly diagnose the situation. I scheduled this procedure for Tuesday August 7th. I am very satisfied with my first experience from Terry's Plumbing. On August 7th Steven Mckeehan returned to my home to properly diagnose the methane gas smell in my guest bathroom. He brought and set up the proper equipment and went right to work. After completing the diagnoses Steven informed me of the grim situation. He told me about my options and suggested where to begin in dealing with my insurance company. After taking his suggestions I made contact with a Public Adjuster and I am feeling so much better about my plumbing and insurance situation. Just wanted to take a moment and thank Terry s Plumbing for a wonderful job! My main water line had sprung a major leak-it was late in the day and a Friday and had no idea who to call! A search on the internet for plumbers came up with few who work on mobile homes I called Terry s Plumbing and was told, no problem , we ll have someone there within the hour! Unbelievable, it was rush hour on a Friday no less-their representative, Espia arrived just 45 minutes later and immediately went to work determining my problem. He didn t have the appropriate fixture and said he would be right back-this was at 7:20PM on a Friday!!!! He returned and took care of the repair so we could have water for the evening, however, murphy s law, another leak popped up. It was 10pm. He promised he would be back promptly in the morning to finish the repair. He arrived at 8:15AM, finished the repair and all was good-he was extremely courteous and informative regarding the repair and took the time to explain my alternatives for the repairs with my insurance company for some of the damages that occurred due to the broken water line. His technical abilities and customer service were greatly appreciated and I ll never have to search again for any type of plumbing services-I have found my plumber ! In our quest to find a solution to our plumbing crisis, we went to our #1 resource (the computer) for assistance. We found several plumbing companies listed, but decided to call Terry's Plumbing. I called on Sunday, 11/9/14, spoke to Priscilla and explained the problem we were experiencing. Priscilla was a great listener and gave us an appointment for Monday, 11/10/14. On Monday morning, we received a phone call from Dean telling us what time he would be arriving. Dean arrived with a pleasing, warm and courteous personality--very easy to talk to. After Dean's arrival, I explained the "stoppage" problem we encountered over the week-end. Dean proceeded to examine our bathrooms and started working. He took several steps to repair the problem, explained each step very clearly, and we could envision getting our bathrooms back in working order. Once Dean completed the job, our bathrooms were working fine, we were exceptionally pleased and the job was done in a timely manner. At first I was looking for a nearby plumber to act as a "general practitioner" for any plumbing problems I might have in the future, as my immediate problem was not (yet) an emergency and I had some time. I wanted to find the right company and found Terry's Plumbing right away on the internet, so I looked into it, called and spoke with the owner, followed his advice and ordered the kitchen faucet desired, to replace my old one. When the new faucet arrived I had to go back to the internet to find the phone number I had called a few days before and noticed a few good reviews and many bad ones. I don't know what the circumstances were with the unfortunate ratings, and naturally, I started to have second thoughts about my decision but went through with it anyway, and ... I'm very glad that I did. A young plumber named James Morgan arrived on time, was a relaxed and obviously a knowledgeable plumber and a total gentleman. Without pushing me into expenditures I was not expecting and may not need immediately (I'm hoping to completely refurbish my kitchen), he advised me of things that might need attention in the future. I took note of these things and because of James Morgan's exceptional quality as a plumber and employee of Terry's Plumbing, I expect to use them when my larger projects with the kitchen begin. We happened to have a clogged drain in our bathrooms and were pretty frantic about having work done quickly since our out of town guests were due to arrive that morning. I saw Terry's Plumbing truck at our neighbor's house and walked over to ask if he could take a look for me. Ricky came over 10 minutes later, he called the office to let them know what was going on, he was so professional, did all the work for us and then recommended that we do some extra work to replace the outdoor trap and snake and clean out the entire house. We scheduled him to come back today (3-5-2020) and he and Jude arrived 30 minutes early and have done a wonderful job. They are very polite, courteous and not only snaked every line but used a high pressure water jet to remove all kinds of scale and 50 years of you do not want to know what! They are going to install a new PVC line from the house to the yard and put in a new trap so that anyone can get in there easily in the future. I am more than pleased with their work and the price that I was quoted. I would not hesitate to use them for any future work. Find another plumbing company! Called them out to replace our shower stems. Was quoted $100 per stem. Then we questioned the outrageous price they said it was a mark up. My husband drove to the plumbing store with the plumber to purchase the stems himself. The cost was $40 vs $200. Once the plumber returned he installed the new stems but failed to tell us we would be unable to use our exsisting Restoration Hardware handles bc it wouldn't fit. So we were stuck with ugly generic hardware. My husband than called the company to discuss the lack of communication wit everything. He spoke to Pricilla who was less than helpful. Pricilla is suppose to be the customer service person but lacks customer service skills. Pricilla yelled at my husband, stating she "recommended" tearing out our shower tile and replacing everything. However the plumber never mentioned any of that to us when he arrived and assessed the situation. Pricilla was rude, unhelpful, unaccomidating and all around a bad person to handle any customer service issues. They left us on a holiday weekend with a dripping shower and told us get another plumber! read more

I have used Terry's Plumbing twice now and have been very happy both times. The first time was on the 4th of July, and not one of the 3 plumbers I normally use (I have several rental properties) would answer their phone or return a call. I was out of town, and had a tenant with sewage backing up into their shower. After exhausting my entire list of Plumbers, I found Terry's on the internet and decided to give them a call. They were very helpful and reassuring and had somebody there within about an hour. "Espia" took care of everything, and found a problem that a previous plumber had missed. My tenants loved him, and he walked me through everything he did and found on the phone. Their charge was also less than the other 2 plumbers I'd had on that property. This week, when I needed a Plumber for a Client, I called them again and requested Espia. Again, courteous and prompt response, and the price was less than the standard $85 - $95 an hour. On Sunday, 8/21/16, I had an emergency bathroom plumbing disaster and called Terry's Plumbing based on a review and being the 1st name on the list of Plumbers in my area. (Good use of Mkg: AAAH Terry...) I'm a new resident in South Florida and in the 1st month of my lease. I didn't know how to contact my landlord since I used a leasing agent and didn't want to get off on a bad start. So I called Terry's Plumbing and was answered immediately by an ACTUAL person! 1 She said a service tech would call me shortly and he did! 2 Matthew arrived within 1 hour of my first call. 3 He was courteous, friendly, and knew exactly where to look for the septic and the place to insert the snake. 4 He completed the job with a smile and the entire job was over within 2 hours of my initial call. 5 Because it was a Sunday, I knew the cost would be higher and was happy to pay! I called Terry's Plumbing because I had another plumber come out to unclog my kitchen sink. While he was snaking my drain, he suggested I get a company with the camera scope in to test my lines. He thought he pulled out a few roots. Terry's guys arrived early for the appointment. Which was great because I hate to wait around on service calls. when he arrived he was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. He explained everything to me in detail, and showed me everything that was going on with my 50 year old pipes. It turned out that I did not have any problems at this time after all. What a relief. Getting this service done has allowed me to have an understanding of how much longer my pipes may last and how I can better take care of them. My pipes are not going to last forever, but now I can better prepare for the future problems. We never think about what we can't see until there is a problem. It is a bad Friday when you walk into the kitchen and detect water on the floor. A quick check and you discover there must be a leak behind a wall. Turn off the main and call Terry's. A neighbor had used them and was quite impressed. A nice lady answered the phone and advised they'd be there In an hour. I hour later, Dean showed up. A practiced and experienced tech, Dean made precise cuts in the wall and found the leak. In short order, the leak was repaired. Dean could have wrote up the bill and left, but he checked the house. He then went outside and checked the streetside meter. He told me there was an indication of a leak under ground and I told him to find it. He felt it was between the meter and the house. Too small holes were dug and the leak was found and fixed. My water bill will undoubtedly be less next month. Dean was technically sound and efficient. I will never call anyone else. I hope Terry keeps Dean around a long time. Thank you for being there. read more

I called Terrys when I had my bathtub backed up with ugly, smelly, nasty water..... Panicked I called and a very sweet & calm Priscilla answered telling me she will send someone to check it out. Drake came over an did what he did and helped set us up right. He was very professional and kind. He even explained to me what was happening in non plumber terms ( so even a pencil pusher like myself could understand) a few days go by and I call Priscilla again but she's out on vacation, but I didn't have to get Tiffany up to speed because she was already informed about my case from Pricilla. She just like Priscilla and Drake, Ms. Tiffany was very professional, smart and nice. She updated me with the findings of my problem. You better believe if I have any more plumbing issues I will be calling Terry's Plumbing. They have a very nice, they know what they are doing and I can trust they will the job right. We had a leak hidden somewhere in our 2 story home. After several attempts to locate a company that did leak detection, we found Terry's plumbing. One company could not get to us till next week, the other did not do leak detection. Terry's representative, Dean, arrived approximately 1 hour after I contacted the company. Dean spent around 10 minutes listening to our thoughts of where the leak was in the house. He then went to work and within 10 minutes knew where the leak was located. The rest is history. Dean had to remove our water heater to get to and repair the leaking pipe. I would recommend this service company and Dean as a service professional. The only thing I can say about the cost is that the leak detection company I contacted was $350 just to locate the area of the leak (did not include any repair). Terry's Plumbing is my go-to plumber, I manage a hotel and whenever I have a plumbing issue my first call is over to Terry's! What I find to be unbelievable is that no matter what time it is they will be there in a hour. From the first time I used them I knew immediately it was going to be a long lasting relationship between us. They are affordable, dependable, personable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and very hardworking. They have the best employees from the plumbers that come out on the job to the girls that answer the phones. All together they have a company that 100% is for the customers they service. I've had my water heater replaced by Donnie who is amazing, I've had them come out on a Sunday @ midnight for a toilet that was over-flowing. I am writing my second review since I cannot locate my first one. Once the leak under my sink was diagnosed by a larger company, Terry's Plumbing gave me a quote which was half the price. They sent a knowledgeable, professional, and friendly plumber (Chris) to come & fix it. He installed a new faucet and rebuilt parts in my toilet. Everything was great until the same sink started leaking again :( I emailed Terry's with the problem and they called me right away. The sent the same plumber to my residence and he diagnosed the new leaks and fixed what he could. It seems the faucet I bought was inexpensive and one of the plastic parts has a hairline fracture. I need to return the part for a new one. Chris was again professional, knowledgeable & friendly as he explained the problems and fixed what he could. Don't usually leave reviews, but, just wanted to leave one for Terry's Plumbing and in particular their tech, Ricky Mendez. I've used them on 4 properties i manage, from Hollywood, to Las Olas, to Coconut Creek with EXCELLENT RESULTS. Ricky's been at 3 of those 4 properties almost exclusively and request him by name because of the THOROUGH PROFFESIONAL SERVICE! There hasn't been a job yet they haven't been able to repair, replace or upgrade, from a simple bathroom unclog on a small residence, to a MAJOR repair of a 6" sewer line from under our driveway to the main trunk line in the roadway on my 3 building residence in ft. lauderdale. Office staff has yet to disappoint with nothing less than professionalism and excellent appointment keeping and communication. While our home was being tented our neighbors were gracious allowing us to stay in their brand new suite while they were away. The 2nd morning the shower was totally backed up with raw sewage. Although they had a fully booked day, as an existing customer, I was promised 1st available and they delivered. Not only had the original plumber for the brand new suite left a test ball in the line, not allowing for any sewage to pass but had not properly installed a cleanout. Steven and his team got everything up and running the same day and wrote a detailed technical outline of the issues and spoke on the phone multiple times to the homeowner and sending him photos and explaining the problem. The contractor, to his credit is making things right for the homeowner and will go back to his plumber. The sad thing is the permit had been cleared and signed off by the City of Wilton Manors. read more
