Invited here for a good friend's Birthday Dinner. Really enjoyable experience sitting out on the California Avenue street patio, listening to live music on a Monday night. I shared a couple of dishes with my spouse... * Grilled Caesar with Chicken -- Lightly char grilled romaine halves, with a side of grilled chicken. Lightly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette instead of the typical heavy Caesar dressing. Chicken was nicely grilled and not too tough or dry. Very enjoyable. * Short Rib Ravioli - Pasta was good, and the short rib filling was tender and tasty, but a bit on the salty side. * Grilled Branzino Filet over fregola (like a pearl pasta). Very good. * Desserts - The table shared a few different desserts. My favorite was the Chocolate Torte... good quality chocolate. Warm and moist but not runny like a chocolate lava cake. Paired very well with a vanilla gelato. Food gets served pretty quickly upon ordering. Our friends who frequent Terun suggested pacing our order once course at a time so that everything didn't come out at once. They have quite an decent selection of wine and beer, but we brought our own wine... corkage is $30 per bottle.

Outdoor heaters in the winter Friendly service, loud get together vibes Pizza size: enough to feed 2-3 people. Favorite dish: eggplant. Tasty wine and wonderful flavor on the tiramisu Great options for vegetarians Thanks!

Great service, cool bar and reallly good pizza. It's not super spicy but the dough is gorgeous and fluffy and chewy. Add some olive oil to the plate to mop up with the crust.

By no means a bad spot but not the best Italian food in the Bay. I loved the atmosphere of the store so much. There was live music outside, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and a cozy ambiance inside. I visited on a Monday evening, and it was absolutely packed, which was impressive. I had high hopes for this place because several people had recommended it to me. I'm not sure if it lived up to the hype. The red beets gnocchi was delicious. The signature pink color was super fun, and it tasted rich and creamy. There was plenty of taleggio and gorgonzola, so it was a cheese lover's dream. The porcini pizza, on the other hand, was not as stellar. I was really excited for the truffle oil, and there was a fragrant flavor. However, the porcini mushrooms were unexpectedly cold, and as a result, a bit slimy. The pizza itself did not have much flavor outside of the truffle oil, and the crust was quite cold and hard. In general, the pizza was not the most pleasant thing to eat. I have heard lots of good things about this place, so I would come back and try some other dishes.

We hosted a team dinner at Terun recently. Logistically, the setup works well as there's a decent-sized parking lot right behind the restaurant, and they offer outdoor seating with heaters, which is great during the winter months. Johani was our host for the evening, and he did an amazing job throughout. He was attentive, thoughtful, and professional, and handled the table well. A small but very appreciated detail: when I ordered dessert to go, he kindly packed the fresh berries separately from the panna cotta so the liquid wouldn't make it soggy a level of care that didn't go unnoticed. Unfortunately, the evening didn't start on the best note. One of the first dishes brought out farro and calamari had a housefly in it, which was clearly off-putting. To their credit, the staff replaced the dish promptly, but it wasn't the best way to kick off a team dinner. This was a two-course meal plus dessert. First course: Brussels sprouts - decent, nothing standout Calamari - good in flavor, though the earlier incident impacted the experience Baked cauliflower - about 3.5/5 from the table Grilled romaine - a table favorite and one of the better dishes Second course: Terùn pizza - my pick, and a solid 4/5 Tricolore pizza, rigatoni, and pollo piccante - feedback from the team put these at around 3/5 Dessert: Caramel gelato with salt and olive oil - very good and well balanced Tiramisu - classic and satisfying (takeaway item and not part of the dinner) Lemon panna cotta with fresh berries - light, refreshing, and nicely done, with thoughtful packaging for takeaway (takeaway item and not part of the dinner) Overall, Terun has a nice ambiance, convenient location, and excellent service, but the food execution was inconsistent, and the early hygiene issue set an unfortunate tone. With better consistency, this could be a much stronger dining experience.

My friend and I visited on a Saturday night recently, and surprisingly there wasn't much people. We've seen this place on yelp so many times and was excited to try. We sat down and ordered a San Daniele pizza and a Lasagne. Our orders came like 5 minutes after we order which we were very shocked about. Then realized the pizza and lasagne was pretty much just lukewarm. Lasagne was pretty salty and didn't have much depth in flavor. The pizza was also a bit disappointing as it was kind of dry and we wished the flavors of the ingredient blended well together. It seemed like they just threw the ingredients on baked it for a minute and gave it to us. Our food ended up being cold 10 minutes in. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and they were so nice to have given us a Creme Brûlée on the house. The servers are so nice and sweet. Not sure if I would ever come back. I'm quite confused on why this restaurant has such high overall ratings and 2k reviews when the food quality was much lower than expected. I hope some improvements can be made.

We have eaten here many times- first time reviewing. Everything was delicious- some of my favorites are farro and calamari, schiacciata pizza, fried calamari, caramel gelato with sea salt and olive oil. We sat in the covered back patio- nice ambiance. Service was great.

Located on California Ave, parking is plentiful but availability is limited. There's a lot of seating both indoors and outdoors. Terun pizza (4/5): so yummy. The crust was soft and cheesy but a bit soggy from the sauce. The toppings were good though. I really like the sausage and it wasn't too salty. The cheese was delicious too. Overall, Terun Pizza is a nice place for some delicious Italian food. Their menu has good variety and the outdoor seating is nice.

Had a blast at Terun! We went for a work happy hour with a group of four and, even though it was pretty busy, we were seated quickly. One of my colleagues and I shared the Diavola pizza, and it was perfectly crispy and thin-crusted. My friend ordered the Cacio e Pepe which they brought out a whole cheese wheel for. I joked with our server about how I'd always loved the idea of a cheese wheel because of the fun presentation. He then literally insisted I get up and do the cheese wheel myself lol. At first, I thought he was just messing around, but he was totally serious, and it turned out to be so fun! My coworkers loved the interactive twist of me making their meal and we all enjoyed the experience. It's definitely a cooking bucket list item checked off. The overall atmosphere was so lively, with awesome servers and yummy food. I'll definitely be back here for another post-work team event!

It had been over three years since our last visit, and after hearing my older son rave about his recent experience with his girlfriend, we decided to give this restaurant another try. We went on a Thursday night, and there was a street fair nearby, so the whole street was blocked and very busy. We put our name down around 7 PM and were told the wait would be 30 to 45 minutes. Not long after, less than five minutes actually, we got a text that our table was ready. We were seated inside, and it was extremely loud, almost uncomfortably so. The table next to us had a large group gathering, which added to the noise, but there wasn't much we could do. We ordered calamari to start, two pizzas, two pastas, a sparkling red wine I saw recommended on Yelp, and a beer. The food arrived fairly quickly. * Calamari: Really good, with some tentacles included, which I liked best. I would give it 4 out of 5. * Tri-Color Pizza: Thin crust, crispy, and no soggy bottom. Definitely 5 out of 5. * Porcino Mushroom Pizza: Also very good. I would give it 5 out of 5. * Risotto of the Day: The flavor was excellent, 5 out of 5, but the rice was a little too al dente for me, so I would rate it 4 out of 5. My husband really enjoyed it and finished the whole dish. * Rigatoni Pasta: It was okay, not bad but not memorable, so I would give it 3 out of 5. * Tiramisu: 3 out of 5 this time. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did on our last visit. * Lemon Panna Cotta: Very good, I would give it 4 out of 5. The sparkling red wine, Lambrusco, was delicious and highly recommended. Our whole table enjoyed it, and I am going to see if I can find a bottle to enjoy at home. Overall, the food was excellent, which is why I am giving this visit a five-star rating. The only downside was how loud it was inside, so next time I will try to request an outdoor table.

Terun Pizza is a quaint restaurant on cal ave that offers pizza, pasta and Italian entrees. We came to Terun on a Tuesday night and they were able to seat us immediately. The dinner crowd came and the indoor and outdoor seating filled up pretty quickly. The ambience is okay a little too dark and the indoor seating felt cramped. The food was unfortunately nothing to write home about. I felt like it was incredibly overpriced for the quality of the dishes. The pizza was not crispy and had the texture of it, needing to be cooked for a bit longer because the dough had a raw consistency the calamari was breaded well and they actually gave a lot of squid for an appetizer, but it was incredibly salty like you cannot even eat one piece without chugging a glass of water the raviolis were probably on the taste your side of what we ate. They did get our order wrong so we did actually end up getting to try two types of raviolis. The truffle was probably the tastiest. It was the most balance, not over salted, and the ravioli dough had a nice al dente, but for the ravioli, short ribs, the pasta was way too thin, so the ravioli was breaking in the short rib on the inside was also incredibly salty. I know that Italian food tends to be actually super salty in Italy. I just wasn't expecting it at this restaurant specifically So in that aspect it is authentic in that aspect. The service was great though everyone was super kind, and the bathrooms were incredibly clean. There are tables around the bathroom, though, which when people go in and out, kind of ruins, the dinner due to the smell. Overall, I'm glad I got to try Terun pizza, but I will not be coming back due to the price of the food and quality.

Review only of their ice cream/gelato* They allow take out for their gelato! Friendly staff, delicious caramel sea salt ice cream! Came here for a sweet treat after eating nearby, what a fun and vibrant area! The street is blocked off so we got some steps in while eating, it was such a nice date vibe

However, after the incident, observation and order of food I received on 6/13/26, I cannot support this location. As mentioned we always had a pleasant experience at this location, with great service and great food. But this day the entire staff was off, and it was mainly due to the negative, micromanaging and rude manager/owner Partika. From the moment I walked in the establishment the vibe seemed completely off than what I was use to from past visits. It was scorching hot inside and the employees looked miserable. I quickly figured out why, as I placed my order with the gentleman upfront who was doing a great job, and here comes Partika hovering over him and reaching over him re-asking my order, although the employee had already entered it in and was simply trying to ask if I wanted to add anything else. Once done and paid, she then moves to the back counter and begins to holler over to the employees in the back about hurrying up with tickets, although they weren't very busy. I stood to the side as I had ordered a slice to grab now for my child, and then a full pizza and wings to go. Upon waiting, Partika approaches and tells me to sit down. I looked at her and told her it was not her discretion and I would await the slice to come right out as I already discussed with the employee. Once I obtain the slice i exit and wait in my vehicle in front of establishment. Out comes Partika harassing two men who had just finished up their pizza when I originally walked in and were still sitting at one of the table now having a refreshment from the adjoining establishment. She told them they could not sit at the tables they were reserved for her customers, and they told her they had just ate there and she begin to argue that now they had to move . Be advised there were many tables outside that any guest could choose from and her establishment was far from busy. Once my order was ready, I went back inside , and again she was arguing with another customer who stated the pizza she attempted to hand her was not hers if she could double check. Her rude comment was yes this is yours and the customer explained no her receipt clearly showed this was not her order. The gentleman apologized for the entire ordeal I had experienced and seen and gave me my order , in which I asked who she was and her name for reference. She then bolted towards me asking what the problem in which I told her the issue is she is very rude to very customer I had seen her interact with in the last 20 minutes. Fast forward to arriving home to now enjoy pizza and wings with my family. Open the box and the cheese is stuck to the top bc they failed to properly package it to avoid this mishap. Furthermore several of the winds were undercooked which could have created severe illness. I blame her presence, bad attitude and rushing her staff for these issues. I love the Tony Gemignani pizza brand but this Slice House in Mountain View has a terrible manager/ owner Partika who needs better customer service skills as well as management skills. I much rather have spent $100 with an establishment who had good customer interaction and treated their staff with respect.

Drinks: 5/5: Ask for the La Contessa; it's not always on the cocktail menu: Rye, macchia vermouth, bordiga bitters, sfumato amaro. Phenomenal. 4/5: Church cocktail. Gin, aperol, cocchi Americano, lemon.

I liked the salata and burrata a lot. They had great clean and fresh flavors. They both had arugula, so that was as a little overlap, but both were still great. I like simple flavors so I liked the margherita pizza the best. The salsiccia pizza got a little soggy from all of the toppings, but it was still great. I loved the crust on the pizzas. The service was great throughout the night. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outdoors. They have overhead heaters to keep warm.

Fantastic pizza by the slice with good vegetarian options!…read more Stopped in for lunch as we were in the area for an appointment of mine and the vegetarian options (I can't even remember their names, as one of them was like a daily or weekly special and might not have been a regular menu item). Both I and my non-veg husband really enjoyed the slices we got, and we're honestly a little sad there isn't a State of Mind closer to our home, because we would definitely come here a lot if it was close by (and we don't have a favorite nearby pizza place yet). I like that they have a nice selection of bottled and canned drinks, including the guava ginger beer I got. They also had a little freezer with Its-its ice cream sandwiches, which was very tempting. Staff is super friendly! They were happy to point out for me which pizzas were vegetarian and since the by the slice pizzas are right there, the service is very fast! Husband and I also thought the slices were reasonably priced. Decor is very much what you imagine for a pizza place, with what feels to me like a 90s vibe. My husband was delighted to find the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pinball machine and we played a few rounds. In fact, I think it may have kindled a new interest in pinball for him, which is neither here nor there, but I appreciate that the pinball machine was appropriately themed for a pizza place, LOL. Booths and tables were clean when we were there. Overall, great pizza place and I genuinely wish it was closer to us so we could go more often!

The food is quick, the service is quick and friendly and you'll get in and out in a couple minutes. The spot itself is quite small but has a cute old school drive through style layout where theyre consistently slinging out some serious dough (there will be lines on a busy hour). I would say give it a shoot! It's affordable, it's comfy it's friendly and maybe youll even find a combination you really didnt know you liked. I like Blue Line's deep dish! I know they do other things, but that's what I come for. And IMO,…read moreit's (1) cheaper (2) healthier than people give it credit for. Is it healthy or cheap? No. What I mean is, if you break down their pizza (as I did in one pic below bc I have a cold, so I got mine to go), it's a cornmeal crust with a bunch of toppings and cheese, topped by a thick layer of tomato-based sauce. The crust is not super thin, but neither is it super thick and bready. It basically forms a shell around the toppings and sauce. The toppings can be healthy depending on what you choose. This time, I got 1/2 brass monkey 1/2 free bird. Brass monkey has a lot of sausage and ricotta, so not a healthy choice. Free bird has a really great amount of chicken! ... and some bacon, but I chose it. You could easily get a delicious veggie and chicken pizza, and it'd be better nutritionally. There's a good amount of cheese, but it's not overwhelming or super greasy. If you want in-your-face cheese, add more for another dollar or two. I like if the way it is. The tomato sauce is thick and surprisingly tangy. That reassures me it's not loaded down with sugar. Basically, is this super healthy? No -- in terms of my eating out/takeout, that would be a sashimi salad, or salmon with lightly steamed vegetables and a bit of sweet potato or quinoa. But it's decent for a Friday night out (or in) when you're not really trying to be healthy, but also not making a point of doing the opposite. As for price -- this is March 2026, and the large half-and-half composed of 2 of their priciest options was $39.14 after tax before tip. Now, that seems a bit high for one pizza. But I didn't eat all day, and 2 slices (out of 8) filled me right up. 3 slices would have left me too full, but probably still thinking "worth it!" 4 slices would make me super uncomfortably regretting-my-life-choices overfull. Sure, you can get cheaper pizza/takeout. But this is good stuff, like pasta toppings on a good cornmeal crust. If you ordered 2 solid pastas for under $40, you'd think that was a good deal! Well, this is 3-4 adult's worth of good pizza for under $40. Also, I used to cook and bake a lot more than I do now, and there's a lot of work and ingredient here, more than I'd commit to at twice the price. It would start making sense for me to mix up the crust and buy good cheese and meat and tins of San Marzanos if I needed 4 pizzas, i.e. to feed 15-20 people (with finger foods, salad, sides, dessert). Otherwise I'd just order here. Oh! I can't remember the last time I got takeout here. So they now have a shiny red takeout cabinet to the left as you walk in, and you just put in the last 4 digits of your phone # and your locker pops open! I would have liked not to be sick and to eat in, but the cabinet was pretty cute. :)
