My ordeal started July 6 2021 it is now August 21. When I took my model y to have it's roof replaced. Tesla Dedham damaged my car. Paint, rear seats, gasket around windshield. But I did get a new roof. Gee thanks Tesla Dedham. It took some time for Tesla Dedham to get me a loaner. Finally got one and I dropped my car off. They have had the car for over three weeks now. I returned the loaner when I went on vacation two weeks ago. No sense in having it sit in my driveway when someone else could use it. I was told by the time I came back my car would be ready for pick up. Not so. I got a message my car wouldn't be ready until the next week august 21 would I need a loaner again? I said yes and picked one up. So this part of my Tesla Dedham hell improved. One of the oh so few times Tesla Dedham reached out to me and I didn't have to chase them down. When I got the loaner I was told the replacement windshield would be in august 20 and car would be ready august 21. Well here we are close of business and not only do I not have my car but Tesla Dedham didn't even have the courtesy to reach out and inform me of the new delay. Now I'm left to wonder where is my car? Tesla Dedham is a black hole. You drop your car off and never see it again. Or maybe all the employees there are former CIA operatives where they could tell you about your car but would then have to kill you so to keep you alive they don't tell you anything. Gee... thank you Tesla Dedham for keeping me safe. You took my less than 7k mile 60k car and gave me a 60k mile car that is ready to die. What a deal!!! read more

I recently picked up model 3 from here. What a horrible experience. The car is great, but customer service people are NOT prepared and NOT trained well enough. First, they had issue with computer system so they could not get registrations in time. So I had to wait a couple of more days to pick up. Second, on the day of pick up they did not have insurance information in the file. I asked a day before and they ensured me that both registration and insurance should be ready when I pick up. I drove 2 hours and 30 minutes in the middle of heaviest traffic hour (3 to 5 pm) to get there. And they said that insurance is not ready. I gave them insurance agent name and phone number two days prior to pick up. Yet they managed to screw that up again. So I had to drive back home and extremely tired. They said they will drive the car to my house. Third, they drove the car to my house not by tow truck, but by driving which I did not like too much. I was hoping for bit of more orientation but the delivery guy was on hurry to leave. Fourth, after the close examination I found small bit of glue or paint which could be removed. I pointed that out during my visit to original on-site pick up and the service person said he would take care of that. But they did not take care it. I don't know if they forget (intentionally i might add) things they said or they just don't care about customers. I am very impressed by car and the technologies by Tesla, but these customer service guys belong in Walmart. Oh, wait... Walmart people are actually more intelligent from my experience. i have been driving with no heat in my tesla for months because a different tesla dealer took my car in and gave it back with no heat. Now this place has pushed my appointment back twice , weeks and weeks at a time, and the most recent time they literally waited until i showed up after i took time off from work, and drove all the way up there to tell me that they still didn't have the part for my car. I picked up my M3 today in MA and for the most part it went pretty smooth. I noticed the rear trunk was slightly misaligned. They tried to fix it at the pick up center but it's still off by a little bit and they said I'll need to bring it to a service center if it still bothers me. Driving around I noticed the alignment is off as well, it tends to drift to the right. Overall I am happy with the car and the issues are pretty minor but I feel like they are rushing out cars without a thorough inspection hoping that people are willing to live with the imperfections. read more

We have had an appalling experience with this Tesla site. First it is impossible to reach anyone. They refused to provide direct phone numbers to their place of business. They apparently do not stand behind their product. We were initially offered a lemon and only because my husband detected that there was a problem did we not accept the vehicle. They have now strung us along with false promises and glib assurances and no reason to have confidence that they will in fact deliver a solid reliable vehicle. Multiple times we have asked to speak to a manager and have yet to do so. Only because my husband is a #TeslaGeek we will persist but we will be taking our business to a different delivery site. read more

for my first Tesla experience, Id say this was the worst of all time, had a 10am appointment for a demo drive and the dealership wasn't packed. had to wait 1hr extra just to not get an update on the demo drive from front desk. wasn't even able to test drive my selected tesla. makes me not even want a Tesla anymore if this is the type of service thats given to customers. Great cars. The most abysmal customer service of all time. "Toxic" is too good a word for it. They do not have a call center to ask any sort of question. If you even get to leave a voice mail, it will not be returned. The main problem is they do not see themselves as a consumer goods company. They are selling a revolution, and one should be happy to join then troops. I may agree on the benefits and future of electric cars, but still, I dropped major coin on this product and expect much, much better (just to get to mediocre). This review is about the Tesla dealership in Dedham, MA. The customer service there sucks. They have employed a bunch of kids who sit around playing video games. I walked to asking to see a Tesla S. The guy said that he does not have time to show me a vehicle but can answer questions. He had no idea what the Plaid version was. He had no idea what its distance limit was. After about 3 more questions I gave up. Went to another dealer in Boston - same thing. No help with installing a charger at home. Finally, I went to a dealer in NH and the customer service was great. I have called their customer service number six times and they tell me that someone from service center will reach out and no one ever does. I would like to thank the team at the Tesla Dedham location. I had a flat tire (performance tires - no spare tire in the trunk) on my new Model Y Tesla on a Saturday. I waited a long time for the tow truck to show up and by the time we made it to Tesla Dedham which was 1 hr away from where I was located (and I was on a road trip from Boston to NY) , it was 6 pm. The Tesla service normally closes at 5 pm and by the luck of god, there were still people at the Tesla store and they said they will stay later that day to change my tire. This was a Saturday evening and the next day, Tesla is closed. So the Tesla Team at Dedham was so kind and really saved my day. They were also so kind. 5 stars for the service and also for being kind human beings! read more

Super nice bunch of guys who helped me to pick-up the car that I ordered this summer. Luke walked me through all of the features to ensure I understood everything and showed me how to Supercharge at their public chargers. He was funny and super helpful. The dealership was clean and bright. Lots of Teslas packed in, because the lot is just not big enough for the amount of business they do. The car itself was gorgeous and amazing to drive, and still is. The payment process was super screwy though because they didn't do it correctly, and then it took over a month for them to resolve. I'd call over and over, and emailed, and submitted a request via Tesla's online customer support tool (never got a response from that), looking for someone who could give me a status update. They said they would call me with updates and never did, even after the payment finally went through. All the while I was driving the car around but not really feeling like it was mine. It was nerve-wracking and really soured the buying experience. I try to tell myself that this is a new car company, focused primarily on making a great, transformative product, and I need to be patient while they work out all the little details! read more

I have a 2020 model Y, the steering wheel locked and wouldn't move I had it towed to Dedham on Saturday morning, they didn't have a loaner for me, on Friday they called and said I needed a new steering rack $3052 and not under warranty. I said how does a steering rack break without being in an accident he states it was a faulty rack but reiterates it's not under warranty. Car is fast and awesome but with the service you get with porche prices I will never buy again read more

I ordered my model Y from the Boston location and had a great experience. The issue presented itself with the delivery site. I had the option of choosing between here and Dedham. I made the wrong decision by sweating the Dedham location. I first received a text saying delivery was scheduled for 12 AM. I've called on numerous occasions and get they're closed or vm. All the calls made during business hours. If you plan on purchasing a Tesla do not do it here. You may have questions but answering them doesn't seem to be a priority. read more

Purchased a new, Y in July 2020, to my surprise, it came with 450 miles on the odometer, apparently someone purchased and returned it or they gave it to someone to drive. Tesla ignored my written complaint about it. They didn't even bother to erase the prior user's GPS info. Then 2 months later, I received notice that for $2000, they will essentially unlock the vehicle's potential for greater acceleration. Veh. came w/a 50K mile warranty, just before it expired, the climate control was faltering and it failed. When we brought it to them (2 weeks after booking an appointment) with 50,750 miles. Despite that there was a real question as to whether the a/c failed before the 50,000 miles, they stuck us with nearly a $4,000.00 bill for it. Also they charged us an additional $750 for failed struts that they originally told us would be warrantied. Their service department is also the very worst, they NEVER answer the telephone (this has happened over 5 times). If you want to schedule an appointment, you must do it, on line, several weeks in advance regardless of the problem with the car. I once asked, in 2020, the service manager why won't they answer their telephone? He told me that their carpet cleaner had damaged their phones (clearly not true). Once they give you your car and take your money, they clearly don't want to hear from you or see you again. I owned several luxury vehicles before I brought a Tesla and have never been treated so poorly. Telsa does not back up its products (in light of the foregoing), They are the vehicular equivalent of the "Soup Nazi" from the Steinfeld TV show. It is unfortunate because their vehicles have real potential to be a great product. Telsa's failure to back up its products and outrageously poor customer service destroys the value of its vehicles. We may have saved on gas, but were "screwed" by Telsa's failure to back up its products (even after only two years post-purchase). The outrageous and infuriatingly poor service was the final straw. I will NEVER by another Tesla. I still like EVs, but I will shop elsewhere. read more

I made an appointment to have a windshield replaced under warranty 2 months ago, brought it there Monday and it was supposed to be done by Tuesday. Got an automated response that it would be ready 5 days later with no call or message from service. They wouldn't respond to my messages through the app, so I have no way to find out what's going on. Its been 3 days with no response, and I have no car to get back and forth to work. Avoid this place at all costs. I will be selling my model 3 just because of the bad service I have received here on multiple occasions. read more

This is the worst company ever. Just like their cars are catching up fire here and there, their solar energy branch is the worst there is. They took a deposit from me to install solar panels on my new home since, I believe, April. I have given them a deposit. Each and every week I called, texted and emailed. I am told that they are working on it. We started the house from scratch and it is almost done. Tesla company has never come, never called and never given me an account of any progress at all. Until I emailed them and asked for a refund. I got an email back saying that they will refund me. Which means, they have never worked on the project. It was all a sham. read more

I bought my Tesla model S new, about 3 years ago. I love having an electric vehicle, but there are many components of the vehicle that are very poorly built, and it's very disappointing that Tesla has a horrible warranty program and does not stand behind their products well enough to cover their design mistakes. I've spent thousands of dollars replacing door handles that keep breaking. Three have broken so far and each one costs over $2,000 to fix. Now the computer screen has broken and it's costing over $3,000 to fix. This car is becoming a money pit. Now to be fair to the customer service team in Dedham, they have acknowledged my frustration by provided me discounts off the service costs to reduce frustration level, but the repair costs have been very significant and I believe that this is a policy decision that the Tesla Warranty team needs to address. read more

Purchased a used 2019 model 3 with 28,000 miles from dedham Location in July. During the process we were in touch with someone pretty much daily as the communication was very easy and stress free. The minute we bought the car that all changed . We picked up the car on Saturday and was told it's all set that the Tesla techs had been making sure everything was up to snuff for the last couple days. As we drove off we noticed the battery was at 67 percent which is nuts since they have 8 charging stations at the location. That night intested out the wipers and the first time I hit them the "low washer fluid" warning came on. That Monday I took car in for inspection and the mechanic passed me but said a squeaking noise was coming from the car and he said it maybe the controller arms. I scheduled an appointment which took 6 weeks to get into the service center. By then the squeak was so bad I couldn't drive for Uber it was so embarrassing. When I did bring it in to the appointment they replaced the controller arms and said they had to rotate the tires. I thought the service team was doing this before i took possession of the car. Finally we were told we would get the check for out trade in car in 4-6 weeks . We tried contacting supports and now they wouldn't return our attempts to contact them. It was like once we bought the car and they had our money they wouldn't answer us. We did then have someone say 8-10 weeks we would get the check and it was processed already. That was a lie cause It was like 12 weeks later the check arrived and was shipped overnight. It litterally was printed the before i recieved lt according to the date on check. The whole experience has been aweful and I'm concerned now that my warranty is expired now how much worse things will be. You might have an easier time buying a gas car until they get there shit together. WHAT A JOKE read more

We just bought a 2018 Model S and a Model 3 The experience was a mixture of excitement and chaos. However, it all worked out well in the end and I have to give this organization an extra star for achieving the level of performance for such a new automotive company. Service was excellent at the Dedham site. It doesn't have the luxury we're accustomed to with Prime Mercedes or Lexus dealerships but this is more of the biotech startup culture. Excellent service thus far. The staff overall are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Service even topped off my tire pressure without an appointment and staff take time to answer questions. All considered, my wife and I initially give this company 5 stars because of its transformational technology but we've found the experience to be wearing thin as the company veers all over the map with pricing and software upgrades. Promises of free updates and inexpensive electricity have given way to not sure what else as they have renamed the software and want to charge more for those things we thought we had purchased. Support over the phone has become virtually impossible to obtain. It's all very confusing. Not good after spending $150K on new cars. read more

I brought my vehicle in to get serviced on a Monday morning, they provided a Model S as a loaner, I received daily SMS updates on my vehicle's progress, and a week later, I went to go pick it up in the morning. After a brief introduction of the car by the "Delivery Specialist" we were sent on our way with instructions to email him if we found any issues. Well, we did find issues, and immediately reached out by email and phone. So far no response... I understand they are busy selling cars, especially at the end of the quarter. We had a great experience test driving the Tesla Model 3 today. We walked in without an appointment and with our two kids (6 and 8) in tow. We approached one of the sales people, Aidan, and he spent close to an hour with us, showing us the features of the car, taking us for a good long test drive and answering a million questions. We didn't feel any pressure to buy. The dealership is small and not fancy, but the people were prompt and helpful. Tip: if you bring your kids ask for the "emissions test" after you drive it. :) We can't wait to get our new car! read more

Didn't buy a vehicle here(yet), but did a test drive to check Tesla out. These people that work here are pretty awesome. There's no haggling and the cars are just phenomenal to drive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an electric vehicle. I brought my 13 year old daughter and her friend on the test drive and the salesman was amazing, Jeremy. He answered all my questions and even told me flat out if there was something he didn't have the exact number or answer for. That speaks volumes at a car dealership, no BS here. These cars sell themselves, pricey, but the money you save on upkeep is well worth it. Hopefully back someday soon to buy one. read more

One of the worst customer service I have ever seen. It is extremely difficult now to schedule a service and when you do, it is always weeks ahead. Customer service communicate through the Tesla app a day or two before your scheduled appointment to prepare for the visit. Theoretically all looks great but practically I think it is just a broken and very inefficient process. Simply because when I answer all the questions ahead then I go to the "Service center" the person sitting on the desk that don't even say "Hi" start all over again and ask all the questions that was suppose to be already answered and documented. It might not be the person's sitting on the desk's fault but it is absolutely a management disaster. The process that is in place to make customer service smooth is not followed, communication is not clear or efficient and customers like myself gets very angary and frustrated! oh and simple curtesy is no logger available at Tesla customer service! I do not agree most of the reviews of this Tesla delivery place. my delivery experience was super and everything went very well. My delivery was scheduled Thursday, one day earlier I called Tesla Dedham on Wednesday, a every nice lady picked up my phone call, listened to my situation very carefully and then transferred me to delivery adviser. The delivery adviser ran over all the documents and scheduled my delivery on Thursday noon, which is as promised from 510 area code text message. When I drove my trade-in car arrived at Tesla Dedham around 11:30, I was shocked and scared because of all the bad reviews about the delivery on yelp. however, things were much better, although it is a busy place and parking lot is full of cars, but there are couple of nice gentlemen guiding the drivers, reminding people to take everything with them if trade-in is the case. they helped to remove old license plate without being asked, and they also cancelled the registration for me in couple of minutes, which I thought I need to do all them myself. After dropped off the keys of my old car and walking into the waiting room, full of people of course. But a nice lady came and welcome me and send me to Mark for check in, then Mark send me to my delivery adviser Sanford, while Sandy was helping other customers since I arrived early and trade-in went smoothly. while waiting for Sandy, I enjoyed free coffee and relax myself by looking through window. I saw my car was parking outside clean and nice. while waiting, everyone working here say hi to me and they are very friendly. Around 12pm, Sandy came to me and told me he can walk me to the car and show me how to charge the car, we did that and returned back for paperwork, Sandy went over all paperwork with me carefully, whenever there is a doubt, he asked his colleague or manager, as Sandy is a field energy adviser, but he knows everything about their cars. paperwork was super easy and just sign and sign. after that, Sandy guide me to the car again, we spent about 30min in the car and he showed me every screen and controls, although one can learn all these through car manual or youtube. Sandy asked me about my driving habit and adjusted some setting for me. He listened very carefully to my questions and answered in a very detailed way. after the orientation, I found the floor mats are dusty and seats are dirty, Sandy sent my car and cleaned it. I am now enjoying the driving with Model X and thanks for Sandy and all the people working in Tesla Dedham. read more

I have been a customer of Tesla for about 18 Months. I bought a Model S in December of 2016. Purchase experience: This was pure joy. They are very low pressure and let the car sell itself. Matt C. was great. Pickup Experience: I took the train down to Dedham and they picked me up in a Tesla Model X with the falcon wing doors open at the station with a sign printed with my name on it. The pickup experience had a few small issues, but they took care of it. Car: The car is amazing. It handles and accelerates well, and is getting better and better every update. Service: The service department here has always been incredible to me. They have been honest and treated me completely in a positive manner. Their labor rates are higher than some cheap car's places, but since the car needs so little service, the yearly maintenance cost for me has been lower than a gas car. I would call out one or two service people, but every single person there has been great. They have even taken care of a few issues that the car had, plus I got my Model S 75D uncorked (now I can go 0 - 60 in 4.1 seconds!) I would never buy a gasoline car again, and I most likely will never purchase another brand than Tesla. read more

You need to provide the same information to multiple people. Went to pick up the car, and they couldn't find it. Then they told me it was the demo/showroom model. Horrible service and an over rated piece of crap car. I bought a used Tesla model S and it has been a nightmare. I'm still waiting for it to be repaired for the third time in less than 5 months. The trunk mats that were in the car were taken out before the car was given to me. They refuse to share the vehicle's service history with me. The lied to me about many things. The car's 12V battery dies without warning and you can't jump start it, leaving you stranded. When replaced, it will be the 3rd 12V battery in a 3 month span. read more

Have had to take my car in 4 times for repair in 6 months of ownership. The service in prior visits was OK. Much different than prior luxury brands I've owned where they make you feel important. Tesla gives the impression that they are doing you a favor by existing. My most recent visit I brought in the car for a couple of things and one was a pretty big cosmetic defect happening to all 4 of the wheels due to some sort of design flaw. EVERY car company on earth would have covered this under warranty, as it should be. Tesla would not honor their warranty. Worse, the manager who denied the claim didn't even bother to come look at the defect - he the made decision from his desk. Between the huge hassle getting the car to begin with, the ongoing defects, and now the warranty not being an actual bumper to bumper warranty, I won't be buying another one. read more
