Whoa I'm surprised by all of these one star reviews. I live locally and this car wash location is SO convenient. I used to have their monthly membership which is very reasonably priced, but I switched to paying as I go since I only need it once a month. They are usually pretty busy during lunch time and on weekends, but never too busy and worth the wait. The employees really make the place a 5 star experience. I have gotten my car detailed here severals times and they do a great job, my car looks like a brand new car every time I get it detailed. I like that I can easily book appointments online and that the pricing is pretty transparent, this is only nice and modern place in the Boston area and I'll continue to go here since the staff is always very pleasant. The only Con would be that sometimes they are a liiitle pushy when it comes to signing up for a monthly membership, but I choose to just smile and be polite and say I prefer to pay as I go. read more

Stupid! You've got to be kidding me. There is a sign pointing left to get my car washed after I've paid. There's a white car in front of me facing one of the two car wash lanes and it looks to me, someone who has never been there before, like it's a customer ahead of me. Several issues. First, 1 wash is not enough for sure. The back stays wet and lots of dirty spots still. 2, i came to see if they had a touchless option which they don't but I was promised they don't use bristles and do foam brushes (thanks Brett) and was promised it wouldn't affect my custom paint. So that's a lie, I will need to pay to get it touched up now since there are so many spots where the paint got rubbed off and the wrap got peeled as well... [[HIGHLIGHT]]$5 not worth it. I paid $20 for the extreme wash because I wanted under my car to be washed. I don't think they did anything to spray water under the car at all. Tons of dirt in the wheel wells. They should be ashamed for charging that much money for basically no service. DON'T GO HERE. (See pictures) Just bought a book of 5 Extreme Washes on Sunday and took my relatively new car here. Even after a complimentary second wash (because the first one left so many areas of the car dirty) the front wasn't cleaned up at all. The cleaning rollers don't go over the front or top of the car--only the back and lower sides The top of the hood and the area over the doors remain mostly as dirty as they were before the wash or are cleaned up with several uncleaned streaks. I had to go home and clean these dirty areas afterwards. Additionally, no one sprays the cars before the wash and there's no one or no towels to wipe down after the wash. Scrub a Dub locations nearby are several times better. Never had an issue like this in all the times I have been there! Sad, but I am going to treat the rest of my book of washes as a total wash! (Unless I can figure out how to get a refund!) read more

Did something change here? I have been coming here for years and just went through the car wash this morning. It seems they are using less water (and maybe no soap) as the car was still dirty afterwards. The dirt seemed to have just been spread and I had to rewash the car by hand when I got home. The car wasn't dirtier than usual before the car wash. What gives? I paid for the $20 wash. read more

I fully satisfied with their car wash. Firstly, they have a vacuum cleaner, what is very helpful when you don't have a portable one. For $2 you can use it 6 minutes. You can pay with coins and with cards. Very convenient! Secondly, they have different level of membership. It's awesome, because on my previous car wash they had just 2 memberships: for cars and for trucks. And everything were included. On the one hand it is very good, but on the other hand I didn't need some services, but I should pay for them. Thirdly, the tire shining is already included in regular membership for $29/month. A lot of car wash places doesn't have this service at all. Also, quality of cleaning supplies is very good. Is smells very tasty and you want to make one more lap to enjoy it. They always toweling your car, but sometimes very fast and with wet spaces. But it's not a critical. For people, who live in Dedham, West Roxbury, Norwood and the same area, they are very competitive. I will definitely use them again for next years, if I gonna stay in Norwood for next leasing period. read more

Tried Waves yesterday for the first time. There were 3 wash options, and I went with the middle one. The guy in the little shack, who you tell which service you want and takes payment, was quite personable and funny! The car wash was fine, and there are guys at the exit who wipe the car dry. Very good experience. I would return to Waves. read more

Note: I am re-posting my previous review which was flagged by Waves because I posted the employee's last name (it was on the receipt). This is the same review, but now just has his first name. This review is from last summer... I'm a life-long fan of Scrub-a-Dub, but I drive by here all the time and ripped a 50% off coupon out of some flyer and had it in the car just in case I was driving by and needed a clean car when I wasn't in the Brookline Village area. This morning was that time, unfortunately. Here's how it went: 8:15 am, and I drive up to the two lanes (one car ahead of me). Left lane is for cash, right is for people who have pre-paid (or whatever that is all about). The guy working (Brett., according to the receipt) motions for me to GO TO THE RIGHT. That would be the right line which CLEARLY states it is for the pre-paid people. Um, OK. So I pull up there, but obviously cannot do anything with the machine because I don't have a card, code or whatever it uses to open the gate. Now people are lining up in their cars all over the place (it's Saturday morning). Brett storms over and says "this line is for prepaids" and I said "yeah, I have this coupon, but YOU directed me here". He tells me it is $3.95, and just because he was being such an ass, I hand him a $20 instead of $4. Seriously, Brett? If YOU don't know the rules at the place you work at, don't get pissed off at me. read more

Attempted to go to waves for the first time today. Pulled in to get my car washed in what I thought was the correct lane(there is an unlimited awning and an all other customers awning) but was hard to tell because the lines were long and because the employee standing outside was doing absolutely no directing or helping. Then once I was able to make eye contact with him I rolled my window down and he proceeded to berate me to not pulling up in the right spot for quite a long time with no mention of why or where I should have gone. Nothing constructive, just rude. I reversed out and left, shocked at his reaction. Wouldn't go back even if it was free and I was the only person in line. read more

Have a monthly pass for two cars. Go here weekly. Needed the recent updates only because it was so busy. Does a pretty good job but misses the back of both my cars consistently. Just got a drive through car wash here. First off, it wasn't too impressive, the car was in there for a long and it didn't feel like it was getting a thorough wash. The auto blow dryer at the end was horrible. When I was done, the car was dripping wet, with soap suds on parts of the car (pics). It was 12 degrees (F). As I exited, to what I expected would be a couple people to dry the car off (I had the 5$ tip in my hand), I saw no one waiting to dry the car and no signs saying there would be no driers that day. I had to go inside and ask for a few towels to wipe the soap and excess water off my car. Overall, a waste of money. I do not recommend. read more

They upgraded their equipment a few months ago which is better! For having unlimited washes, I don't expect spotless clean wash. Not the cleanest I've been. The wash doesn't clear off all the ice and doesn't blow dry thoroughly. Suds may still be left behind which explains towel drying services. Overall, it's alright. Pretty clean if you regularly wash. As previous reviewers have stated on many occasions...the owner Adam is simply lacking the basic understanding and definition of CUSTOMER SERVICE. While Joe was FRIENDLY and helpful at the front booth; Adam was simply bitter and confrontational. I purchased the $35 monthly car wash to test out the service before deciding on the annual $29 monthly car wash. I called on 2 separate occasions and was informed by someone my month ended on the 17th. I happen to be driving by on the 16th so I stopped in. Grabbed 2 separate annual contracts as I was giving one to my brother. Got to the wash and my RFID tag was not working. Adam asked me to wait as he ran into the office. Came out and said my month expired on the 14th. I tried to explain to Adam that I called and was informed my month expired on the 17th. He asked me to back my car out of the wash as he was not giving me a FREE car wash. I never asked for a FREE wash but wanted to explain that I was misinformed. He was bitter, started coming off angry and asked why we were having this conversation b/c he's not giving me a FREE wash. Adam was all about not giving up a FREE wash. Wake up ADAM. I was going to purchase two annual contracts. I never argued with you about a FREE car wash that might cost you $1 off cleaning suds. Might I suggest you seek out a non-customer service related field. Perhaps a job in an office where you don't deal with people. Just a suggestion. read more

SO disappointed. I got a $50 gift card to this place, so I chose the most expensive car wash option they offer, "The Works ($35)." They told me it'd take them 10 minutes, so I should have known. "The Works" was supposed to include an under wash, triple foam, rust inhibitor, tire shine, wheel bright, rain-X, spot-free rinse, sealer wax, interior vacuum including mats, and dash cleaning. So my car should've been pretty freakin' clean afterwards, right? Not! After the car was "cleaned" I immediately noticed crusted bird poop still stuck to the hood and side, and when I opened the driver's side door, crushed leaves, dirt, and dog hair on the mats and seats.. Uhh... They DID clean it, right? I inquired about the bird poop, the guy said they'd run it through the wash again. I inquired about the dirt, pet hair, and leaves on the floor, and he told me I'd have to have it professionally detailed to remove those things. I said it didn't appear to have been vacuumed, and he admitted he wasn't sure it had been, but offered to demonstrate that vacuuming wouldn't remove the dirt, and I accepted. Despite his assessment, with me standing over him, this time, the vacuuming magically did remove the debris on the mats. I left him be to finish, but 5 minutes later, witnessed an employee driving my car AROUND (not through) the car wash. By this point, I'd already spent 45 minutes at this place, and even purchased some accessories in their store with the balance on my gift card. I asked another employee why my car hadn't gone through the car wash a second time, as promised. This employee turned out to be a manager, who said "It's 5 o'clock.. We can send it through again, but you have to drive it back around and get in line" as he walked away from me.. Ok... I had already spent $45 at this place, and would've expected at least a modicum of respect. But no luck. I decided screw it, I'm leaving, and was about to pack up my car to leave, until I realized others might want to know what crappy service this place offers, so I started photographing the condition they'd left my vehicle in. The manager approached, and said "Are you going to put those on Facebook?" To which I replied "probably," and he said "why don't you use all that extra time and energy to drive your car back through the car wash?" I told him I didn't want to waste more time doing that (particularly considering the line that had accumulated). I would never go back here, even to finish off the balance on my gift card. The only saving grace was the super-polite, super efficient guy who cleaned my dash; I regret that I didn't get his name. read more

NEVER AGAIN Horrific experience Irresponsible I had a horrific experience from the moment I dropped of my car. But I desperately wanted my car clean and decided to go through getting it cleaned. A moment I would regret the next day. On November the 10th 2014 I scheduled a detailed clean of my car which I scheduled online for November 11th at 11AM in the morning at Waves Car wash in West Roxbury MA. I was told I would get a call when my car was ready. I never got that call so at 2pm I called them and it was finally ready. When I pick up my car all of my rugs (plastic and fabric rugs all original dealer rugs from my Acura MDX) were located in the trunk still half way clean, oily, and went but at this point I really didn't want to argue with them about so I left. The next day when the rugs were finally dry I notice I was missing my driver side fabric rug. At 8AM On November 12th I showed up at the wave and the Manager Ms. R told me that if my rug is not turned in or found at the property they would replace it. Great right? Well a few days later I called back and it was not turned in, Ms. R asked me for my car's VIN number and told me that when the rug comes in she would call me back. Well two weeks later I call back to follow up on it and she tells me the GM is going to call me. NO call. I sent her an email and guess who I hear from the owner who processed to tell me that my rugs will not be replace because his employee told him there was no rugs. The truth is I dealt with him while also dealing with Ms. R and he was RUDE and disrespectful. Of course his employee would tell him there was no rug, why would they admit to that? and he doesn't want to replace my original dealer rug but he wants to give me one of his "premium" generic rugs? Are you kidding me? No thanks keep your cheap rugs I will NEVER EVER walk in to that place again and I will be sure everyone knows how bad this place is. read more

It's Ok for a basic car wash. They do not do a very good job with vacuuming the inside. With two boys, the back gets pretty messy with goldfish. I do a better job vacuuming with a compact car vacuum than they have everydone. The exterior wash is OK - the car is clean, but they don't dry very well, so you're left with water spots everywhere. I've done detailing service once and was disappointed. Streaks along the side of the car (and was told "that's how the car is" - -- give me a break!!). One worker was able to quickly and easily clean up the streaks once I raised my voice a bit (I'm a small lady). Haven't been back since then - june 2009. read more

I just signed up for the monthly unlimited express wash. I like to wash my own car but this winter is rough enough to interrupt life. At 35 bucks a month when it's 20 bucks regularly, I think the price is right. Other than the fact that brushes are used I like this car wash. Wheels and tires comes out nice and shiny. All in all it's a good wash. The negative is the towel dryers. I don't know how their tip jar fills up. They don't even wipe down the whole car, which ends up leaving streaks when you have driven for for a while. This really downgrades the wash. The second time I went through ( which was the next day) I brought my own microfiber towels an pulled over near ocean state job lot and dried my car. It produced a much more desirable outcome. What happened??? I paid $42 for a car wash and vacuum and I had to still vacuum my car when I got home PLUS clean the window streaks off.They didn't even pick up a power bar wrapper under my seat! Also, the guy talks me into this 'gloss' finish spray after my car is washed and they glossed over a coffee spill on my door. So now I have to scrape it off. My dash board was not touched so I asked the guy why they didn't even wipe off the dashboard, I mean lots of dust, and he said, "Oh that's detailing. We don't do that unless you pay" after he told me they would wipe down the interior. The clincher....they left these gross wet filthy towels in my car.. Nasty Not even good for a pass thru. tried this place a handful of times over the last year. their attention to detail leaves a lot to be desired. I've tried every special wash shy of the $100+ detailing package and never have they cleaned the rims properly. they apply enough armor all to coat a monster truck wheel which always results in it getting flung up on the sides of the car and the towels they use to dry leave lint and spots all over. not sure where I'll be trying next, but I'm done with this place. employees seem to take no pride in their work. read more

I'm so not a "car guy" but I do make long distance drives to Maine just about every weekend year-round and my car often comes back trashed from the trip. Started taking my car here and loved it - super friendly staff, modern wash system and convenient entrance/exit. They seem to have more people doing the manual pre-conditioning spraying and wiping than other area car washes as well. I ended up joining the $29/mo unlimited wash plan and so far it's paid off well - not sure if it's the body style of the new car or (more likely) the snow tires and rims that just got put on but for some reason I can't take this car out in the winter for any distance AT ALL without coming back home with a nice covering of road salt. I really do think the snow tires are just picking up every bit of wetness and spraying it forward onto the body panels. Now that I know the car attracts salt spray like it was a sponge I've started hitting Waves a few times a week when the salt encrustation gets really bad. The only other thing to note is that this place can get INSANE during peak times - never noticed it at first since I usually go during morning or early afternoon hours but the last time I went during a weekend evening the traffic was backed up almost onto Route 1 and they had people in shiny coats out there directing traffic! When it's busy I'd recommend entering the Dedham shopping mall area and driving down the service road past the Toy's R Us, much easier to get in line and it's often the road they direct the extra traffic onto anyway. Even when busy it never took all that long to go through the process. Only used the vacuum systems once and it was $2.00 for 5 minutes of time. Never having done that before I thought that they were being stingy with the minutes but it turned out to be more than enough time to go through the front, back and cargo hatch of a small 5-door. read more
