So it's small store. Would have liked a little more area to explore the technology and options. The sales associates are great, no pressure but honestly want to be helpful and educational. Before wandering into the Century City store the thought of buying a Model S with the smaller battery was too much of a financial stretch even though we trusted the Tesla technology and loved that it's electric. In the late 90's we were lucky enough to be chosen as EV1 owners and hoped that by being early adopters in electric car technology it would someday be conventional. After seeing the Tesla Model S in an environment with sales associates just happy to answer questions and not make a sale, we got back on the Tesla website and ordered a Model S. SUPER NICE AND ACCOMMODATING! We drive a six year old BMW so we thought it was time for an upgrade to an electric car. We went in for a test drive on a busy Saturday afternoon and ended up trying three different cars. Amanda helped us and she was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Contrast with the guy at SF Tesla who didn't even know how to open the car door!! Amanda was thorough in explaining all the features of each car and why we might have not liked the Y Performance. Amanda even came down to the parking lot to meet us so we didn't have to come up to switch car keys. She followed up a few days later and even helped us place an order over the phone. My kids and I dropped into this showroom last night. Our family is in the market for a new car and we've been exploring the possibility of going electric. I love Tesla technology and I've been wanting to see it close up. While in the showroom, my daughter sat in the passenger seat of the Model X. She was almost immediately removed by a sales woman who abruptly asked her to exit the vehicle so she could demo a feature for a "customer". The obvious inference being that we weren't actual customers. To further drive this point, once she was done with the "customer"; she went back to working on her computer. She never asked us if we needed help or if we had any questions. Perhaps with didn't have the "look" of a "customer". It was very offensive to be treated this way, and the experience has left me reconsidering the Tesla brand. The sales person was tall, slender, and Caucasian in appearance. I'm in the market for a car and have been considering a Tesla but was on the fence about it. There are some features I like about the car and others I wasn't so sure about, so I stopped in here hoping someone could help me decide whether or not a Tesla would be right for me. The sales reps did not seem very welcoming. They seemed disinterested, annoyed that I was asking questions about the car, and a little south of borderline rude. After answering a few questions, one of them walked away from me without saying anything. No "Excuse me while I..." or "I'm going to hand you over to (name) to assist you." Just straight up walked away. One of them commented that they were just there to walk customers through the online purchasing process, and the third had a passive aggressive/hostile tone and seemed to try to make me feel bad for asking questions or being ignorant about some things and reaching our for information/assistance. It felt pretty unwelcoming and honestly kind of upset me so I guess I have my answer. read more

Purchased a new model S top of the line. It was supposed to be delivered in June. I got a delivery date but said I was out of town for a few days. They said no problem, then when I got back they had sold the car out from under me. Now it is 3 months later. Got my car delivered. They took away my old car. The guy who delivered it didn't know a lot of details about the function of the car. The car seemed real stiff and difficult to drive. The guy said it was normal. Then when I got up the next day there were multiple error messages. I called Tesla they suggested resetting the car. The resets he suggested didn't work. He said do not drive it, other than to immediately take it to Tesla service as it is unsafe to drive with no power steering or power brakes. I brought it there and now it will be a week or more to fix. No loaner vehicles available. Now I am stuck without a car, and car rentals in LA are really hard to find. As is evident, nothing went right with this. I regret now purchasing another Tesla and would not in any way recommend anyone to purchase one, given the terrible service. read more

I put $1,000 down on a Tesla 3 a year or two ago. They emailed that cars were ready, so I took a test drive. I liked it, but have found that Tesla's customer service is poor, at best. Geeze....I am ready to buy a $50,000 car, but cannot get an answer about a small discrepancy in their price vs. estimate (their price is slightly higher than the estimate). I have spoken to two salespeople, one in L.A., and one in Fremont (which I believe is their headquarters). I have asked and asked and asked about the discrepancy, but the only response I got was that 'it isn't a lot of money.' Perhaps they don't need more sales? A friend who just bought a Tesla told me details of poor customer service on her new car. Perhaps this is an indication of the lack of responsiveness for their customers? read more

The mall itself is going through a renovation so the Tesla store is temporarily relocated in the mall down a small corridor not far from the Apple Store. The staff is nice and knowledgeable and always willing to assist and answer questions. If you're qualified you can even get a test drive in a Tesla. They have Tesla in the showroom that you can sit and play around in. You definitely canNOT drive that one though. Be aware they may be other people trying to sit in the vehicle also. They also have Tesla merchandise like shirts, jackets, etc that you can buy at the store. If you want to see a Tesla up close and personal this is the place to do it at. read more

My salesman Miguel has given me excellent service and been reachable by phone and text. I returned to the dealership a few times to adjust my order and try extra test drives and to learn about car features. Every time they accommodated my needs. Very frustrating that they park all of their Teslas in the Tesla charging stations in the parking lot. It's become a deterrent from visiting Westfield. Test Drive Scheduling You can tell this company is methodical about customer experience. Test drive scheduling process was flawless. First did it through their website (Monday) and got a call (Tuesday Morning-missed it) and then received an email (Tuesday afternoon) instead. Replied to the email and got a text confirmation for the earliest time I wanted at nearest location (Tuesday evening). No hassle at all. Scheduled a test drive on Monday and got a spot Wednesday afternoon. I was late but they were able to accommodate without issues. *I have a feeling that walk-ins are possible at least on weekdays. You would have to check though. Test Drive I have to preface by saying all my friends drag me along on their car shopping trips. I have driven all major premium brands and more importantly have had direct interactions with their dealerships. James from Tesla, who helped me on my test drive, was very knowledgable about the car. Answered all my questions and really took the time to show me every aspects of the car. I have been to many many dealerships and this is definitely the best experience by far. There is absolutely no pressure for me to make a purchase. I got the sense that their goal is to promote the product and they are confident that if i am in the market to purchase a car soon I will give their product fair consideration. The product really sells itself, as it ideally should be. There is no pretentiousness, putting down other brands/dealerships, overselling. It's simply a demo/presentation of their product. IF you haven't driven a Tesla, drive one. It's a must whether you are purchasing a new car or not. And if you are, chances are, you will want a Tesla for your next car. IF it's out of your price range it's also very likely that you will increase your price (within reason of course) to consider a Tesla. Other Thoughts I have read a few negative reviews especially about other locations. but I did not, nor do I envision such experiences happening to me. These reviews were typically from 2012/2013 when Tesla is first setting up shop. It takes time to properly train/organize a sales team. I believe in their company operated sales model. Dealerships operated by 3rd party are generally problematic. Tesla is definitely on the right track. read more

This is a review of the show room experience. I tried to book a test drive because I want to buy a Tesla. They wouldn't do drives after 5:30 even tho they are open until 9:00pm. So we went into the showroom to ask questions build a car and book a drive at another time. There were about 10 employees at the showroom between the back and the front. Not ONE person greeted us, asked if we had any questions, volunteered any info about any of the cars. There were other people sitting in one of the cars with us and we were laughing at how ridiculous the employees were because they were only chatting with each other and not helping any of the customers We started pushing the buttons in the car and we finally got their attention when we turned the brights on. The employee came over turned the brights off and walked away. Didn't ask if we had questions or bother to show us anything about the car. Disgraceful and shameful work ethic There were way more Employees than customers yet they were lazy and uninspired. I certainly won't go to that showroom to buy my Tesla. DO NOT GET A CAR FROM HERE. OR EVEN BOTHER GETTING A TESLA. I have had such a bad experience. The customer service is the worst. They could careless if you got a car from them. I ordered mine 3 weeks ago, for it to be a 2 week wait, now its turned into 6 weeks and thats IF I even get my car then. I have spent more money in a car rental now and should have went with another car. The sales people dont even know what they are talking about. One person will tell you youll get a rebate and another will say you wont. They dont answer your calls and say they will look for a car for you and never get back to you. Also pretty upset with my sales associate Will who wont return any calls. Just pretty terrible customer service. Such a shame for such a promising company. My daughter wanted a pink Tesla for her 16th birthday. She was very, very adamant about it because her boyfriend has a red one and she wants to match, "I want a pink Tesla! I want a pink Tesla!" So of course, me and my husband decide to get her one as a surprise, only to find out, they don't sell pink Teslas here. This annoys me because it's a freaking Tesla dealership! I spoke to an employee here and they told me that I could customize one online, so I do only to find out pink isn't an option. I come back, infuriated, and tell them that I can't make the car pink. Their response? "Not my problem." My daughter is very used to getting what she wants with her daddy's money, and the thought of telling her no makes me SICK. You people are horrible. Her birthday is in a couple of days and now I don't know what to get her. I've already promised her an iPhone 12 when it comes out, a $1000 lululemon gift card, and we're going to rent out our local country club to accommodate her 200+ friends and a whole lot more. I didn't buy the model X I want yet, however I did get an idea on what the sedan is like and I truly think I want that more than an suv. I went over the weekend to check things out. The dealer is very boutique style I do like that. The staff are friendly. I did feel like they were a little distracted because I wasn't approached right away which, is fine. Ultimately I'm giving this 5 stars because the whole experience amounted to being a good one. I'll be building my car and having it sent to this dealership. One tip I have is know the cars before you head in. I felt like I had more first had knowledge than the male that I felt with but again he was very kind. Switching from Mercedes and BMW to Tesla is a different kind of jump for me and so that is why I did not buy a car Saturday. I will say that this dealer takes pride in the way the cars look and test driving it was interesting, I could not feel the road, meaning that the car was very smooth unlike the SUV which was still smooth. I like the coupe feel of the sedan and that it's 4 doors. I would compare it to my 428i BMW just quiet with a lot of tech. Thanks TESLA for making a car that's an experience. read more
