Car is great, this location and the service department are hot garbage. Had an appointment for 9:45 am to have the windshield repaired (only place that can/will do it) and was originally told it would take 3-4 hours. I got here and they said they were backed up (idk how at 9:45am when they open at 8am) and was told 4-5 hours. 6 1/2 hours later and I'm still here. Unacceptable in my opinion. read more

Very unique. No haggling. The prices are set. Test driving a Tesla was so much fun. In fact, it was so much fun, I bought one. It takes a $100 deposit and filling out some on line forms. The worst part is having to wait 4 to 6 weeks for the car to be built and sent from California. The people in the dealership are delightful. From what I can tell, it is going to be a five star experience. My only two things are that there are so many options that they make you pay for. Not much is thrown in. By the time I built my $48,000 car, I ended up at $62,000. The other thing to watch out for is the trade in value they offer for your used car. They were $4,000 below other dealerships on a price for my Lexus. Those are all little things. When I finally get my Tesla, I will be so excited and the little things will be in the rear view mirror! Driving a Tesla has been a goal of ours for awhile. However, our recent experience leasing a Tesla through our local dealer is baffling and has left us angry and confused. We started the lease process online - submitting all relevant information and paying a deposit over a week before our delivery date. We spoke with many representatives to work out the details of our trade-in vehicle, lease terms, etc. All Tesla representatives and the website claim that your contract and terms are set at least 24 to 48 hours before delivery and pick-up. 48 hours before pick-up, our account was still not complete, so we called to discuss what was needed. 24 hours prior to pick-up, our account was finally updated with our monthly payment amount. We also spoke with a local representative, Clement, to ensure that the information was accurate. He said that it was, but also said that the monthly payment may change by $100. We verbally confirmed that the terms on our online account were correct. These terms specified no down payment other than the $2500 deposit. Clement confirmed that this was correct, again saying that the monthly payment may increase by $100. We updated our car insurance to cover our new Tesla, and were all set for pick-up. Fast forward to the day of pick up. We checked in and they transferred plates from our trade-in vehicle. My wife was 30 minutes into the hands on training in our Tesla when the finance representative appeared and said we would owe $13,400 instead of $0. That's right - $13,400 to lease a Model 3 for 2 years. He was very rude and acted as if we should have known this. Not only did they fail to complete our terms and agreement beforehand, he lied and blamed the computer system for this huge change. We immediately left - shocked and confused as to how this happened. Our confusion turned to anger, so we called to figure out what could be done to salvage the lease and file a complaint. After attempting and failing to reach someone for over an hour - at the local dealer and the national number - we finally spoke to a representative at headquarters. She was also baffled at the situation and mishandling of our deal. She again confirmed that all details are worked out prior to pick-up, and she profusely apologized for the error. Shortly after our conversation, the local employee, Clement, who mishandled our application and failed to do his job called. He was in no way apologetic - he was confrontational and questioned our recount of the experience. Rather than attempting to salvage our lease or make amends for the horrible treatment, he was dismissive and totally unprofessional. Our goal is to drive EV, and we've always seen Tesla as the leader of the EV movement. However, we're still confused and pissed about the gross mishandling of our lease and overall terrible experience. read more

This rating is for Tesla overall. I've been so disappointed by the steady decline of Tesla's service since I bought my first Model S in 2015. At that time, customers picking up their car were welcomed to the hangar, escorted to their new car complete with a bow. There was 1:1 service to orient you to the car. Fast forward to 2022. I took delivery of my third Model S in February 2022, four months past the date Tesla promised my car. This gap in delivery time meant that I had to pay the full registration for my old Tesla and then pay full registration again four months later when I got my new Tesla. When I was on site to get my car in a dark parking garage, I was informed that my new car was being turned over to me with missing parts, including the privacy cargo cover. I was told that the missing pieces would be delivered to me shortly. Here we are nearly four months later and not a peep. I contacted Amylou at the Burbank Service Center and she said to schedule an appointment on the Tesla app. I can't comprehend that I have to chase down the missing parts for the car I purchased. I also contacted Karl Valdez who was very helpful pre-sale and has been eager to sell me solar panels. No response from him or his colleague Xelleene Valenzuela. I am so disappointed to see how terribly Tesla treats its customers post-sale. No way I'd buy their solar panels or another car. Getting on the waitlist for Lucid. read more

Arguably the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced. I got the run around when I needed service and its nearly impossible to get a human on the phone. The car itself fine, considering it cost $100k but the after sales service is horrible. I suggest you wait for EV cars and buy one from a customer service company instead of an IT company. read more

i took delivery on a new model y here this past weekend. i flew down from the dmv area, and drove my car back home in the same day. the process was pretty much terrible. all of the dealership stuff (shopping, financing, insurance, etc) is done via your Tesla portal, beforehand. i found that to be very efficient, and stress free. the only issue is, once you're ready to get the car it's like no human wants to help you. they rely too much on technology that they forget about basic, human, service. you walk in, they give you the keys (aka cards) and that's it. pretty frustrating for someone who has never owned a Tesla and/or any EV. Especially one who's hitting the road back to home, which is 400 miles away. and then when i asked to be informed about of few things, they smile and ask, "have you watched the meet your Tesla videos?" .. yes, i did but I am hoping to get a little bit more explanation regarding the $65k car i just bought!! i LOVE my car, but hate the lack of customer service that the company provides. I must also add that there isn't any type of National/regional customer service team, that you'd get with most major companies. When you call the 1- 888 phone number, all they do is ask for your zip code and transfer you to your local Tesla sales center. Prior to my Tesla, I owned a Mercedes-Benz, and let's just say the experiences were like night vs day. Worst car buying experience. The model S on the floor had something loose in the door, I asked the rep what made the door noisy, his response was too many people checking it out, really? So you are going to stand there and not fix it? Talked to an advisor about inventory vehicles, he tried to sell me a new one , made no attempt to follow up with me, I found one on their website placed the order a month ago and I am still chasing them for delivery. If one of their mechanics mess up your car and tow it to their service center which is 90 minutes from where you live they will not tow it back for you after they fix it. They will send you a rental car so you can drive up there to pick it up yourself. Everyone knows that Tesla Service is bad. Here is further proof. I get dropped off yesterday to take delivery of a Model Y. This is not an early car (Sept 2020). Neither of the rear doors line up. Luckily it is raining, so we can see exactly how much water is leaking into the interior panel, both sides. The suggestion was made that I take delivery of this leaking vehicle and bring it in for service. Right. I asked if they could at least give me a loaner to get myself home, and they won't even give me one of those. They told me they'll call me an Uber. How courteous. I don't understand how a car this expensive is allowed out of the manufacturing facility in this condition, not to mention the showroom center letting a new car be delivered like this. Seems like nobody even looks these cars over. First impression: poor. read more

Love the car...would never purchase from this dealership again. The car was dirty upon delivery; not washed, sticky paper still on paint, greasy handprint on white seat, spilled coffee on driver side seat. I was never given an orientation on the car. Instead I was told to park it a spot on the lot and watch YouTube videos. They added full self drive to my car after purchase without my consent! Found the $7,500 charge on my card after the car said it was doing a software update. Pretty sure that's illegal!! Entered my email address wrong so that I couldn't access the app. Took 2 1/2 weeks to get it changed, then never notified me of the change. I have many more items where they failed. Worse service ever. I received a model 3 in November and a few months later I found that the pain around one of the side mirror has bubbles, front lower front bumper paint fainting clearly one coat of pain when I paid of multi coated pain. I Bought the car there, the service personal took picture and told me that they will let me know when to bring the car back. waited for two months and never received a call from them. I called then to find out about my next appointment they told me they lost my picture. That I need to take the car back. Took the car back, and now they are saying that this is not covered under the warranty because I waited too long to detect a factory defect that came with the car. I have never worked so hard at buying something...anything! The Tesla sales people in Charlotte are absolutely terrible; that is saying something since most of the purchasing is done online. The people at the Charlotte store could care less about selling a car. I have been trying to get my "sales consultant" on the phone for a week and a half. I finally gave up and emailed him. His reply email starts with "YOU NEED TO REPLY TO ALL OF US" in bold red letters...and that's probably the nicest tone of his email. I am writing a hundred thousand dollar check. We were thrilled to get a Tesla. We love driving the tesla. But customer service has been chaotic from the start since getting our tesla in December. When we got the car, they sent our license plate to the wrong owner! Furthermore, we were offered supercharging for a year by Donny from the sales team, because our model was a floor model with lots of miles on it. Upon getting the vehicle, we tried to add a second user and didn't know how to do that. We were told to just go to the app. Well i went to the app and selected what I thought was adding a user, and somehow a "transfer" ensued between us co-owners of the car. Then we lost our supercharger offer. We didn't know this until we took a road trip. We kept trying for many months to get the co-user thing fixed, and got no where with customer service. The agents always say, "just reply to my email" to add a user, and then nothing happens. We had to call 4-5 times to ask about the free supercharging we were offered, only to find out that the transfer nulled it and they couldnt reinstate it per their "policy". The customer service here is just horrible, as is the customer service with tesla in general. Be prepared to spend hours on the phone where you have to re-explain things over and over. Super frustrating. Finally, maybe 10 calls later and lots of time wasted, an agent gave us some free charging miles as a little coupon. But the company refuses to offer an exception to their hard rule policy regarding free supercharging for a year because of the transfer. WE DID NOT WANT OUR VEHICLE TRANSFERRED TO A DIFFERENT OWNER IN THE FIRST PLACE! All of this chaos was the result of customer service agents being unclear in their guidance, not being available, and having an unclear user experience regarding user transfers vs adding a user. CUSTOMERS SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED FOR MAKING BASIC MISTAKES AS A RESULT OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MISTAKES SHOULD BE FIXABLE. read more

We bought a model X in April. The AC went out the beginning of July. The service department couldn't get us in for 27 days. When I arrived they were VERY very rude and gave me a tutorial on how to use the AC. As if I don't know how to push the icon that says AC. When they realized it didn't work for them either they said their machines were down and I'd have to wait another 3 weeks to have it repaired. It will be 7 full weeks in Charlotte NC heat with no AC. They won't give loaners for AC not working. This is my family car. The car I saved for for years. I'm disappointed in my purchase. I feel ripped off and would not recommend a Tesla to anyone. They may be great when working, but it's too hard to talk to a human and even then they treat you like crap and don't fix your car. I can't imagine any other dealer would treat any customer this way. read more

I walked into the dealership with no appointment and wanted to learn about the Tesla cars. I was greeted by Matthew who was kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Despite not having an appointment he fit my husband and I in for a test drive. We loved the car, the price, and the amazing service. Mattthew walked us through the website and made extremely helpful suggesting throughout the process. We ordered a custom car red Moldel 3, which they were able to get delivered within less than a week. We then had a stall due to the Toyota finance people as we were turning in our car for the purchase. Matthew and the management team helped us get everything ready and stayed with us as Toyota took over a week to get us our title. The team work, professionalism, kindness and amazing expertise made this car purchase by far the best we have ever had!!!! I highly recommend that anyone buying a new car check out the Charlotte/Matthews Tesla dealership on US 74. Great work Tesla!!! read more

The Customer Service team is professional and knowledgeable. I was treated like a valuable customer each time I visited with my car. The quality of the actual service is a completely different story. My last visit required fixing a malfunctioning parking sensor alarm, for which I was billed, but it was not fixed. I called and left a message, but was not called back or emailed (3 weeks now). That itself is IMO worth a 1.5 star subtraction. I am giving 2 stars because the vehicle was also serviced for a factory recall, and the lugnuts on both front tires were left loose. A few miles after receiving the car, I felt an increasing wobble that felt like flat. Some of the lugnuts were loose enough to be turned by hand ! Had the lugs broken at highway speeds, my life and others would've been in jeopardy. I also called and left a stern message about this, and received no response or apology return call. It is worth noting that the shop is only liable for a improper service related accident, if the plaintiff can prove the negligent service was provided intentionally, which is ridiculously difficult. read more

I picked up my car on June 11th. On June 24th I received an email from corporate to complete another form for financing. My wife and I completed the form and returned it on June 30th. Since then my 30 day tag expired. I made multiple calls to the showroom and left voicemails but none of my calls were returned. On July 19th I was able to get in touch with someone and they had no answer for why my tag has still not been received but I could come by the showroom and pickup a dealer tag. I went to the showroom and spoke to Chad. Chad gave my my dealer tag and I filled out several forms to have the dealer tag be valid for 6 days and told me hopefully it will be taken care of by then. Chad also did not have an answer for why my tag hasn't been received but would bring it to the attention of Clem (the manager) and Arie ( the DMV specialist) and would get back to me with what the holdup is. Well I never heard from Chad, Arie, Clem or anyone at the Tesla. My dealer tag expired on July 25th and still no tag or no contact. I took off work on July 30th to try and get an update on what the situation is since my calls and requests have not been answered and my dealer tag is now expired also. I went to the showroom and spoke to Yunis. Yunis informed me that Arie was there and he would get an update. Yunis told me that Arie got everything figured out and my paperwork will be finalized on Monday and I will have a plate sent via overnight mail to me to receive on Tuesday. Yunis told me that someone opened my email but never forwarded it over a month ago. But I was assured that everything would be taken care of and I would receive my plate by 8/3. Arie came out and informed Yunis of this in front of me but did not directly speak to me. I felt like that was a little weird and this still left me with a car that was illegal to drive until my plate was received. Today, (8/5) I called and spoke to Mike. Mike informed me that he didn't know why nothing has been done but there are no additional notes in my account since I was last in on 7/30. Customer service has been terrible and I'm still stuck with a car that I cannot legally drive. read more

I walk into the showroom where at least 6 representatives were and did not get greeted, nor asked if I needed any help. I made eye contact with several people and still was not acknowledged. I asked for details of their model 3 and I was just directed to the internet. I asked if there were any on the lot in red with white interior and the rep said "I don't know, we would have to just walk around the lot to find one, but it's raining right now". When I come to this dealership, I don't get anywhere! I honestly wouldn't even call this place a dealership because they don't deal with anything financially, they are merely a holding ground for cars to be shipped. read more
